Instant personal loan up to ₹5 lakh: Documents you must have for quick approval
If you are a borrower seeking an instant personal loan of up to ₹ 5 lakh then due to the technological advancements you can now enjoy faster and seamless approvals.
Still, these approvals are subject to you providing the essential documents and meeting the basic eligibility criteria as laid down by the lending institution. Several banks and NBFCs are now streamlining this process with minimal paperwork and quick digital disbursal.
Personal loans are unsecured credit provided by banks and other financial institutions to meet urgent needs such as medical bills, education, travel, or debt consolidation.
No collateral is required for personal loans and the disbursal of funds is quick if the required documents are provided. Furthermore, the decision of meeting eligibility is based on factors such as income, credit score, past payment history and documentation.
Lending institutions utilise documents to verify identity, income stability, authenticity of the loan applicant and the submitted application along with the repayment capacity of the borrower. Organised paperwork ensures compliance and helps in quicker approvals with improved loan terms.
1. Salary slips & bank statements: Lenders typically ask for the last 3–6 months of salary slips and bank statements. Axis Bank requires 3 months' salary slips, statements, and Form 16. Kotak Mahindra and Bajaj Finserv follow similar norms.
2. KYC proof: Most banks accept PAN and Aadhaar as standard ID and address proof. Alternatives like passport, voter ID, or driving licence are also valid, as per lenders like Bajaj Finserv.
3. Employment & address proof: Salaried applicants must submit employee ID or appointment letter. Address proof includes utility bills (last 3 months), lease agreement, or passport, as per Axis Bank.
4. Digital KYC:A filled loan form, passport-size photo, and digital/video KYC are mandatory. Axis Bank and IndusInd Bank enable paperless onboarding with instant verification.
5. Submit ITRs: Self-employed borrowers must provide 1–2 years' ITRs or audited financials, plus bank statements to prove business stability (Bajaj Finserv, Kotak).
Once all documents are ready, lending institutions such as Bajaj Finserv provide approval of a loan in less than five minutes along with disbursal of the loan amount on the same day. On similar lines banks such as HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank among others also disburse funds within hours of the online application. Last 3 to 6 months' bank statements.
Salary slips (3 months) + Form 16.
PAN + Aadhaar/passport/voter ID.
Employment proof.
Address proof (utility bill/lease/passport).
Application form, photo & digital KYC
Accurate documentation speeds up the processing of loan applications. Those with high credit scores i.e., scores of over 730+ along with steady income benefit from lower interest rates and faster processing of personal loans.
That is why it is important to keep your credit profile clean, credit score high and all your documents properly arranged so that loans can be availed within a short period of time when needed.

From July 1, tatkal e-tickets only for verified users
CHENNAI: From Tuesday onwards, passengers who have not linked and verified their Aadhaar with their IRCTC accounts will no longer be able to book tatkal tickets online. The railways are yet to announce alternative documents for authentication while booking e-tickets. As a result, users without Aadhaar-linked IRCTC accounts will be able to book tatkal tickets only at reservation counters from Tuesday. The move is aimed at bringing transparency in ticket booking, ending the eight-year battle of Indian Railways against use of illegal software in tatkal ticket booking. The OTP-based verification system for both e-tickets and paper tickets set to be launched on July 15 is expected to slow down the tatkal booking process, thereby putting an end to the long-standing issue of tickets disappearing within seconds. Currently, tatkal tickets are being sold out within seconds by touts and agents using illegal software, especially on high-demand routes, and are resold at a profit margin of 150% to 200%. On average, around 2.25 lakh tatkal tickets are booked each day across India. IRCTC and railway officials clarified that Aadhaar authentication is mandatory only for tatkal bookings. 'Passengers who haven't validated their Aadhaar can still book regular train tickets through the IRCTC website and app,' an official explained. The integration of the IRCTC website with the UIDAI portal for Aadhaar authentication and OTP verification is likely to increase server load, which could further delay bookings across the country.

Digi Yatra to expand to 41 airports by 2025 end: CEO Khadakbhavi
New Delhi: Digi Yatra, the app that allows domestic passengers fast airport entry and boarding, is looking to expand to over 41 airports by the end of 2025. Currently, Digi Yatra can be used at 24 airports, including metro airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. "We are awaiting launch at four more airports, and in the next three to six months, Digi Yatra will go live at 13 more airports. Upcoming new airports like Navi Mumbai International Airport and Noida International Airport will go live with Digi Yatra directly," said Suresh Khadakbhavi, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Digi Yatra Foundation, in an interview. Launched in December 2022, Digi Yatra has a user base of over 14 million now. The services are currently live at eight private and 16 Airports Authority of India-operated airports. Also read | DGCA's surveillance detects several safety flaws at airports, aircraft The Digi Yatra CEO said that there are 25,000-30,000 new enrolments every day. 'We've enabled over 60 million journeys so far and by the end of 2025, the use base will be around 20 million. The adoption rate averages between 30% and 35% across Indian airports," said Khadakbhavi. In the coming few months, Digi Yatra services are expected to be expanded for foreign nationals as well. This expansion will be based on the back of a roll-out of e-passport services. On 24 June, the government announced the roll-out of e-passport services for Indian nationals. The e-passports are enabled with a chip with biometric details. Digi Yatra is currently being tested with e-passport enrolment, which will also enable foreign nationals to use the services. Currently, only Indian nationals can enroll for the services through their Aadhaar card, driving license or voter ID card. 'For example, a foreign citizen working out of India can enroll on Digi Yatra by using their e-passport credentials. Just like Indian nationals, foreign nationals will be able to use the services for domestic flights," said Khadakbhavi. Also read | Reliance Aerostructure to manufacture Dassault's Falcon 2000 business jets in India The Digi Yatra Foundation is in talks with the International Civil Aviation Organization (Icao) to sign an agreement for the same. After the agreement, there will be access to verify data with ICAO's Public Key Directory (PKD), which would enable a secure exchange of cryptographic keys related to e-passports. Khadakbhavi is looking at a timeline of three months to implement the rollout. While Digi Yatra will be expanded for foreign nationals taking domestic flights, enabling this for international flights looks difficult for the moment, Khadakbhavi said. With the involvement of multiple stakeholders like the ministry of external affairs, the Bureau of Immigration and the ministry of home affairs, enabling such services is a tricky thing, as per the Digi Yatra CEO. 'When we talk about the international process, it means automated border control, which is a sensitive area. We would not want to fail in this and a good process needs to be defined," he said. He also said that with European Union building EU Digital Identity Wallet, there could be interoperability in the future. Also read | Air India eyes profitability with fleet overhaul and customer satisfaction boost There have been concerns around data privacy in the past including sharing and usage of data. However, the Digi Yatra Foundation has maintained its stance that the data is stored in a user's phone and the data shared with the airport is purged in 24 hours. 'We are not storing any personal data on any central location; the entire data is decentralized. If one wants to hack the database, they will have to hack all the phones of all users," added Khadakbhavi.
