As the much-anticipated new season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi draws closer, all eyes are on the beloved characters returning to the screen. Leading the wave of warmth is none other than Mihir, played by Amar Upadhyay. When a show is rebooted with the same cast that worked together some 25 years ago, one can only imagine the fun and nostalgia they'd experience on the very first day of the shoot, and that's exactly what happened on the Kyunki set.
On the very first day of the shoot, Amar didn't just reprise his iconic role — he won hearts all over again with a beautiful gesture. An insider close to the production house revealed that Ekta Kapoor arranged a special welcome lunch to mark the beginning of the shoot, turning the set into a space of joy, familiarity, and celebration.
This was Ekta's way of bringing the team together to relive those golden days, as they prepare to deliver yet another iconic show in television history. But it was Mihir, portrayed by Amar Upadhyay, who elevated the day even further. As the cast and crew bonded over the shared meal, Amar surprised everyone by bringing in a sweet delicacy for the entire team. 'It brought an emotional touch to the set," the source added.
The return of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has already become one of the most talked-about television comebacks. The reboot will premiere on July 29 at 10:30 p.m. on Star Plus and will stream digitally on JioCinema.
Recently, there were speculations that Smriti Irani might be taking a break from politics to focus on the show. However, the actor-politician responded on X, 'No sabbatical. Have worked both in media and politics for 25 years, with only a decade-long break due to my responsibility as a Cabinet Minister. Never compromised on my sangathan responsibilities, never will."
Joining Irani in the reboot is Amar Upadhyay, who reprises his role as Mihir Virani. Their reunion has only added to the anticipation among loyal fans who followed their dramatic love story decades ago.

Hariyali Teej celebrated at Haryana Raj Bhavan
Agency: PTI Chandigarh, Jul 27 (PTI) A grand celebration of Hariyali Teej festival was held at Haryana Raj Bhavan on Sunday and Governor Prof A K Ghosh extended his warm greetings to the people of the state and wished everyone happiness, prosperity, and a blessed life. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the citizens on this auspicious festival. Saini said Teej is a symbol of our cultural heritage and social harmony that connects us with our traditions. The event was attended by the Governor Ghosh's wife Mitra Ghosh, CM Saini's wife Suman Saini, Haryana Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhry, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Arun Gupta, UT Chandigarh Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma, Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapur, Chandigarh DGP, Dr Sagar Preet Hooda, along with several senior officials and dignitaries. According to an official statement here, the programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the governor and the chief minister along with their spouses. This was followed by a group performance of the Haryana State Song, which added a sense of cultural pride to the atmosphere.
