Report – Italy Coach Gattuso Closely Following Inter Milan Breakout Star For International Team
This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Francesco Pio Esposito is set to be part of Inter's senior squad this coming season.
After two seasons on loan with Spezia, the Nerazzurri gave the 20-year-old a chance to prove himself at the Club World Cup this summer.
And it was an opportunity which Pio Esposito grabbed with both hands. Therefore, he will be part of Inter's plans for Serie A, the Champions League, and the Coppa Italia.

And according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, one particularly interested party in Pio Esposito's development this season would be Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso.
The legendary former AC Milan midfielder took over as Azzurri boss this summer from Luciano Spalletti.
And one area of the pitch in which there is some doubt for Italy is the attack.
It has been some time since the Azzurri have been able to call upon a truly top-class centre-forward.
There have been some candidates to step up recently. Among them are Mateo Retegui and Moise Kean.
However, if Pio Esposito is able to maintain his trajectory playing in Serie A, he could certainly also stake his claim for the national team.
The 20-year-old Inter striker has a combination of physicality, holdup play, and finishing ability that is very rare indeed.
Therefore, Gattuso will be watching with a keen eye to see whether Pio Esposito earns a spot as Italy's centre-forward for years to come with his performances over the coming season.
The young striker has already earned some comparisons to past Italy greats like Luca Toni and Christian Vieri. And Gattuso might be the happiest person of all if Pio Esposito can make good on them.

Eric Bailly handed career lifeline by two surprise Italian clubs
Former Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is wanted by two Italian clubs. Difficult career after United The Ivorian has had his difficulties since leaving England. He struggled whilst in Turkey for Besiktas after leaving United and had his contract cancelled after only a matter of months at the club. Bailly then signed for his former club Villarreal but failed to make much of an impact. The Ivory Coast international was then released from the Spanish side earlier this summer. Saudi move fell through The 31-year-old centre back looked like he would be on his way to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Najmah SC. Nonetheless, this deal never came to pass as Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the move broke down due to Bailly deciding to walk away from negotiations. Italian interest Italian website Calciomercato have reported that there are a couple of teams in Italy who hold an interest in the centre back. They claim that Serie A could be in Bailly's future very soon. The website states that 'the player's team has offered him a Serie A deal with Cagliari and Cremonese: both the Sardinian and Lombard clubs are interested in him.' Salary Obstacle Nonetheless, a deal will not be plain sailing for the free agent. The site reports that 'the biggest obstacle at the moment is a salary request of at least €1 million.' A move to Italy would add to 'an impressive CV', after spells in Spain, England, France and Turkey. Bailly will hope wherever he lands, he can put together some significant time on the pitch. He has not been able to play more than 25 games in a season since his debut campaign with Man United back in 2016/2017. Follow us on Bluesky: @

Inter keeping an eye on Morten Frendrup and Mandela Keita
Serie A giants Inter are keeping an eye on Genoa's Morten Frendrup and Parma star Mandela Keita. La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that the Nerazzurri are considering the sale of Piotr Zielinski. While getting a new club for him is difficult because of his age, contract and injury history across the previous season, Cristian Chivu wants a midfielder who is a ball-winner. As a result, Inter are keeping an eye on Frendrup. They have already inquired about the Dane when Inter spoke to Genoa about Valentin Carboni some weeks ago. Piero Ausilio has been monitoring him closely for a year now and the midfielder's current valuation is at €20 million. Keita's valuation at Parma is quite the same. Chivu likes the Belgian from his time at Parma and everything can now hinge on Inter's sales and how much they invest in Ademola Lookman. Balancing incomings and outgoings will help them sign another midfielder. Kaustubh Pandey I GIFN

Good news for Gasperini, who will soon be able to count on Paulo Dybala and Tommaso Baldanzi again. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Empoli player will return to training with the team in the coming days. The same goes for Dovbyk, who is still resting after some thigh problems but is recovering. Paulo Dybala, who was kept on precautionary rest during the trip to Germany, is also expected to return on Thursday for the friendly against Cannes at the Tre Fontane stadium. The team is therefore approaching peak condition ahead of the first competitive matches of the season.
