Ascension Northeast Wisconsin's St. Elizabeth Campus was one of the first Project SEARCH sites in the state. The program helps students achieve employment and learn about the workforce with real experience.
Local nonprofit celebrates Green Bay high schoolers becoming first-generation college students
The students involved in the program have either intellectual or developmental disabilities, and this program helps them transition from school to the real world.
Instructors and job coaches work with interns and host businesses for training, as the roughly year-long program works to eliminate employment barriers.

Kemps partners with Midwest food banks, donates nearly 800,000 milk cartons including 30,000 in Wisconsin
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Dairy brand Kemps is donating nearly 800,000 cartons of milk in 2025 to food banks across the Midwest, and on Wednesday, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin received over 30,000. The 'Giving Cow' chocolate milk cartons were donated to the Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin center in Appleton. Green Bay Area Public School District begins Summer Meals Program, providing free food to students The idea for the massive donation came from the recent rise in food costs, and in eastern Wisconsin alone, about 459,000 people are experiencing food insecurity, according to Feeding America. In Wisconsin as a whole, that number is over 617,000, with about a third of them being children. The reason for the milk donation is that it's one of the most requested and least donated items at food pantries, as many lack proper refrigeration. Wisconsin energy company to permanently close facility, 66 employees laid off
SAUKVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A Wisconsin company that provides energy solutions, including power generation and energy storage, has announced it will be closing its facility and laying off 66 employees. According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), Discover Energy, LLC, doing business under the name Rehlko (formerly known as Kohler Energy), is permanently closing its Saukville facility located at 300 N. Dekora Woods Blvd. Vehicle fire in Wisconsin controlled by sprinkler system, no one hurt Company officials said the facility is targeted to close by December 31, 2025, with layoffs occurring in three waves. Wave one will occur on or within 14 days of August 8, wave two on or within 14 days of September 5, and wave three on or within 14 days of December 31. The WARN letter states that the 66 employees being laid off are not represented by a union, and bumping rights do not apply. Bumping rights would allow senior employees to take over positions currently held by less senior employees, but this will not be the case in this instance.
