We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page.
We're coming for you, baseboards.
1. A Wet & Forget weekly cleaner you can spritz on your shower walls and tub after you're done cleaning yourself. Leave it on overnight — no scrubbing necessary — and just wash it off the next time you're in the shower!
Promising review: " This may be the best thing I have ever bought off of Amazon. And I buy quite a bit. Long story short, the tub in my kids' bathroom was atrocious due to spotty cleaning and hard water. I bought this with a heavy dose of skepticism, even though the reviews were mighty impressive. On the back of the bottle, it says that you may need several daily applications before your tub is clean, and then you can switch to a weekly application. I'm on day three, and let me say, even if this stuff worked no further, I AM BLOWN AWAY. The shower looks close to new. A couple of more days and I'll be able to switch to weekly!" — Tee
Get it from Amazon for $20.98 (available in two scents).
2. A set of reusable microfiber mop pads (yes — they're compatible with your Swiffer) so you can say goodbye to those single-use ones that are 1) Expensive and 2) Not great for the planet.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
They can be used wet or dry and on basically every type of flooring and even drywall if you're so inclined. Since they can be thrown in the wash, one microfiber pad can replace up 100 single-use pads.
Promising review: "Just used these for the first time with my Swiffer WetJet and I gotta say I am impressed! Went on easily and cleaned the floors easily! I always hated the one-time use pads and never felt like they got my floor clean. This review is NOT sponsored, I bought these with my own money because I'm sick of single-use products. Seriously, buy these now!!!" — AKGross
Get a set of two from Amazon for $10.94.
3. A big ol' pumice stone on a stick poised to obliterate stubborn stains left by limescale, hard water, calcium, iron, and rust — things your automatic toilet bowl cleaner is unforch no match for.
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"What witchcraft is this?? Five minutes of rubbing with this thing and I removed the ring that has been on my toilet for years. I had previously tried half a dozen cleaning products with zero success. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. One tip is to open the plastic wrapper outside or over a trash can, as the white dust is annoying to clean up." — Amazon Customer
Get it on Amazon for $13.99+ (available in packs of one, two, and four).
4. A tub of The Pink Stuff which can clean anything you throw at it be that shower fixtures or toothpaste-covered countertops.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Check it out on TikTok here!
And here's what BuzzFeeder/The Pink Stuff fan Heather Braga has to say:
"After hearing what incredible things The Pink Stuff can do, I finally ordered it and tried it for myself. Honestly, wow! It really does work wonders. I tried it first on my Le Creuset cast-iron pan and really was amazed at how just one pass with The Pink Stuff (and a scouring brush) took off almost every stain! I can't wait to try it on literally everything in my home that needs a deep cleaning."
Promising review:"For those who gave less than 5 stars…what were you trying to clean? I had built-up grease on the backsplash behind my stove that I hadn't noticed, which had probably been there for years. I've tried pretty much every product on the market — they didn't work. This product took that grease off within seconds. That worked so quickly. I was so happy I started cleaning other items: the stainless sink, oven, and microwave. This is the best thing ever — and if they increase their price to $50 I'll still buy it. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE." — RVT
Get it from Amazon for $4.99.
5. A pack of duster sponges that — once dampened — collect ALL the dust, dirt, and pet hair that's accumulated around your baseboards. Tis' the time for their once-yearly clean!
www.amazon.com
Promising reviews: "These are exactly like the Scrub Daddy's. Only hella cheaper." — kr425
"I had low expectations for this. But I'm really happy to find that they do work really well for a much better price than the name brand. It's pretty much the same as the name-brand damp duster except that the grooves are slightly wider. Dusted tops and fronts of my cabinets in about five minutes, but I'm most impressed with how well it removes pet hair from my couch and clothes even better than sticky rollers. I have Pomeranians blowing out their winter undercoats, so it's my new fav thing." — onon
Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in packs of two, four, and eight and in five colors).
6. A tube of silicone grout whitener if you're dealing with mold and mildew that will. not. go. away. no matter how much you clean it.
The gel formula is safe to use on/around windows, sinks and baths, shower heads, pools, tiles, silicone sealant, and more. Leave it on the area you're looking to clean for six to eight hours (no scrubbing required). Some reviewers with really bad mold/mildew note that leaving it on for longer and/or doing a second round of cleaning made a huge difference!
Promising review: "I was skeptical but needed something to help with caulk discoloration and mold from moisture buildup. Follow the directions, and it works like a charm. The odor gets stronger while it's working, but I think it's milder than bleach cleaners, and it works better. A little expensive for the quantity, but it does work." — CW
Get it from Amazon for $14.99.
7. A jetted tub cleaner so you're not bathing in the remnants of whatever products the previous homeowner used. (The absolute horror.)
PS: Oh Yuk is a small biz.
Promising review:"This stuff is magic! We've lived in our home for four years now and had never used our jetted tub. One day last week I decided I needed a nice long soak and I filled up the tub only to discover the water was rusty and yellow (SICK). I looked up the best way to clean a jetted bathtub, and Oh Yuk came up over and over. Now I know why — this stuff is a miracle worker! We ran it through our tub several times until it was clear. You will not be disappointed, and I'd be shocked if the first words out of your mouth when using this stuff wasn't 'OH YUK! '" — Kimmy D
Get it from Amazon for $16.99.
8. A ChomChom roller ready to put your regular old lint roller to shame. Forget ripping off sheets 'til you run out — this collects everything in a neat little compartment you simply empty out.
PS: ChomChom is a small biz!
Promising review: "It works!! You just roll it up and down a surface and it picks up the pet hair!! I've used it on the bed, couch, and cat tree! It's very easy to use, and when you press the button, it pops open so that you can clean it out. One thing I will say is that trying to get every hair and fuzzy from the container is a little bit frustrating, but I'm still very satisfied because at least I can clean out the majority, even if a few hairs get left in the canister. I recommend it to anyone who has pets that shed. It works better than vacuuming hair off of surfaces or using tape or a lint roller, and it's very quick!!" — Myrtle
Here's more from BuzzFeed Shopping editor Jenae Sitzes (those are her photos above!):
" I've been using the ChomChom for quite a while now, but I took the photos above literally just now to show just how quick, easy, and effective this roller is. It took 10 seconds to rid my velvet couch ottoman (yes, velvet...a terrible cat owner choice, I know) of the hair my two gray kitties are constantly leaving everywhere. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of using this roller — at first, I thought you only brushed down in one direction, and was confused why it wasn't picking up hair. It's important to do a push-and-pull brushing in *both* directions so it actually pulls the hair inside, which does require you to apply a bit of pressure. Afterward, you'll just dump out the hair that's been trapped inside."
Get it from Amazon for $23.99+ (available in four colors).
9. A hard-water-stain remover that'll get your shower so sparkling clean, guests will ask what your secret is.
www.amazon.com
It even has a minty scent, so you don't have to worry about that harsh chemical smell most cleaning products usually emit.
Promising review:"Totally amazed how easily this worked at removing all the water stains on our glass shower doors. I had tried numerous products over the years, but nothing worked like Bio Clean. I highly recommend this product to anyone with hard water stains." — Heather
Get it from Amazon for $19.88.
10. A professional-strength grout cleaner guaranteed to remove years — yes, years — of grime from your home's floors. Turns out, you had white grout all along. Who knew? 🤷‍♀️
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"This actually works! It works like magic! I was excited I couldn't wait five minutes, as suggested, after pouring the liquid. But it still worked like a charm. It's so therapeutic to see the grout fall apart. 😊" — Srivi
Get it from Amazon for $21.95+ (available in two sizes and with or without a brush).
11. A viral spin scrubber that comes with seven different brush heads so you can tackle particularly dirty bathroom and kitchen surfaces without even having to bend over.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"The cordless design adds a level of convenience that I didn't know I needed. It allows me to move freely without being tethered to an outlet, making it easy to clean hard-to-reach areas. The battery life is impressive, providing ample time to complete my cleaning tasks on a single charge. Another aspect I love is the ergonomic design. The handle is comfortable to hold, and the lightweight construction ensures that my arm doesn't get tired, even during extended cleaning sessions. The different brush heads are easy to swap out and clean, adding to the overall user-friendly experience." — K.L.P.
Get it from Amazon for $39.59+ (available in nine colors).
12. An ~instant~ carpet spot remover you can rely on to get your space back in shape after you accidentally trip while holding a whole bowl of queso. (It happens to the best of us.)
www.amazon.com
Promising review: 'This stuff gets spots out of carpet like magic. Anyone with carpet, kids and/or pets needs Folex. It will save you time and tears." — Mimi1212
Get it from Amazon for $6.65+ (available in different sizes and packs up to 12).
13. And an automatic toilet bowl cleaning system because I bet ya forgot you're supposed to even clean in there...😬 Plop this cartridge in your loo's tank and it'll take care of things for a solid three months — cleaning and deodorizing with every flush.
www.amazon.com
Promising review: 'Excellent product. I highly recommend, especially to those with old toilets that don't have antimicrobial ceramic technology involved. I work as a handyman and do a lot of plumbing work, and I had never seen this type of product used before. I didn't even know it existed. Why hardware stores don't sell these, I'll never understand!' — Matthew Sileo
Get it from Amazon for $10.33.
14. A Clorox toilet wand with disposable scrubbing pads you can plop into the trash the second you're done cleaning. No more poo particles just sitting around on your toilet brush. 🙅‍♀️
www.amazon.com
What's included: One toilet wand, one storage caddy, six original disposable refills, and 10 Rainforest Rush-scented refills.
Promising review: "I much prefer this to a traditional scrub brush because the pads are disposable. I mean, I really found it weird using an old-fashioned brush and then putting it away after having been in the toilet. (Yuk.) These have enough cleaning fluid infused in the sponge to clean up the toilet regularly. You can even add a traditional toilet gel/cleaner if you feel the need for additional cleaning. Bought a separate set to use strictly as a cleaner for the hard-to-reach places in my shower/tub. Works like a charm." — Maria
Get it from Amazon for $11.98+ (available in three bundle sizes).
15. A soap scum spray prepared to give your tub a total makeover so you feel comfortable taking a bubble bath again.
BuzzFeed Shopping managing editor Mallory McInnis swears by this stuff! Here's what she has to say:
"Have you ever seen the movie The Santa Clause? There's a scene where Tim Allen's character shaves away his white beard and then ~WHOOSH!~ it reappears instantaneously. That's basically my bathtub and soap scum. I've tried many products to keep it at bay, but this is the only one that has ever really worked. Not only does it have a cute dog on the packaging, it also allows me to (easily!) wipe away dastardly soap scum without having to use a lot of muscle! Which is great, because I don't exactly have a lot of muscle to use."
Promising review:"Sharing our nasty before picture so you can really see the difference! Our tub/shower has a grippy bottom and scum and dirt cakes on there so easily. The only way I've been able to get it off before was literally scraping it inch by inch, I've spent hours and all it ever got was somewhat clean. This stuff is expensive but with the good reviews I decided to try it, it works amazingly!! I sprayed it on and left it for about 15–20 minutes. Then I took a brush with hard plastic bristles and with less than 20 minutes of scrubbing, the entire tub and walls it was cleaner than when we moved in. The grime and scum almost melted off." — Amazon Customer
Get it from Amazon for $18.98+ (available in two sizes and with or without a sprayer).
16. Or a natural, plant-based cleaner ready to tackle soap scum, makeup spills, and miscellaneous stains, leaving a delightful eucalyptus and tea tree scent in its wake.
Promising review:"This stuff is amazing!! I was skeptical at first because I have these dark stains on my shower floor that I've never been able to get out and was thinking something 'natural' wouldn't be heavy-duty enough for it. I cleaned half the shower at first because I wanted to see how it looked compared to the dirty side and it did an amazing job with a little bit of elbow grease! You can see the difference." — Katherine Cheng
Get it from Amazon for $16.93 (also available in a pack of two).
17. And a drill brush attachment kit that enables you to blast away dirt and grime with little elbow grease and lots of power-tool-enabled muscle instead.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Useful Products is a US-based small business established in 2007 by car wash owner, electrician, and former bodybuilder Anthony LaPolla that specializes in drill-cleaning brushes and attachments.
Each of the different brush colors indicates which tasks the brushes are meant for based on their bristle type, so be sure to check which one is best suited for whatever you need to for! Yellow is the 'all-purpose' medium bristle, but some are softer and harder depending on what types of surfaces you're cleaning (but none of them will scratch)!
Promising review: "Among the chores around the house that I do, but do not enjoy, I must say showers/tubs rank right at the top of the list. This kit has been an absolute life-saver. I attach it to a drill and in minutes, my showers and tubs look brand new, scrubbed to a showroom new shine and with a third of the effort required in the past. This cuts my tub/shower/sink cleaning time by about two-thirds, maybe more. I can't get over how easily this scrubs away soap scum and rust stains. Buy this. Do it now." — Sarah Ginter
Get it from Amazon for $18.95 (available in six colors).
18. A pouch of foaming garbage disposal cleaner to eliminate the special stank that can only be produced after years of shredding up meat, produce, and whatever that mystery blob was that came out of your long-lost Tupperware.
Amazon, www.amazon.com
Each pouch of lemon-scented formula gets you four uses. Dump a pack into your disposal (while off at first!), run the water just a bit, and then start it and watch as the blue foam gets to work eliminating odors and loosening up nasties that have been caught down there for who knows how long.
Promising review: "These are amazing! I was skeptical at first but I followed the directions (which are super easy) and was grossed out and satisfied at the same time to see the gunk that was removed. You put the entire packet down your disposal (I read that twice too) and magic happens in under two minutes! That is what I call powerful and successful cleaning! The scent is super clean and light with a hint of lemon. These will definitely be a cleaning staple for me." — KPITT
Get it from Amazon for $3.78+ (available in packs of 1, 2, and 6).

22. A six-pack of dishwasher cleaning tablets ready to cut through lime and mineral buildup like no one's business. Used once a month, the septic-safe formula will keep your dishwasher blissfully clean and odor free.
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"After using this product, I am happy to report that my $5 investment saved me over $500. I was ready to replace my dishwasher, due to super-cloudy glasses, residue, and just not getting clean. Then I saw a product test review for Affresh in Good Housekeeping magazine. I was ordering some stuff from Amazon anyway, so I added that to my order. I did not expect the results I got! The glassware that I thought was permanently etched and ruined came out like new. Same with cutlery. The difference is unbelievable. I am amazed!" — Sheila

23. Andddd a six-pack of washing machine cleaner tablets so leftover dirt, residue, and musty odors don't affix themselves to your laundry and make it even dirtier than when it went in.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"I was hesitant to order this but it went on sale so I did. It is the only thing that has actually worked. The first time I had to use two since the odor was strong but it did wonders. I've run the washer with this for two months now and no odor is coming out. This is one item I will continue to order." — Klove78
Get it from Amazon for $6.64+ (available in packs of three, five, or six).
24. A power scrubber that's basically like an electric toothbrush but for icky bathroom nooks and crannies. The workhorse gadget can go to town on grout, faucets, shower tiles, and more so you can actually enjoy your weekend and not spend hours cleaning your WC.
Promising review:"I am always skeptical of products that have so many reviews and are hyped up on social media. However, I was very surprised how well this works. I have arthritis in my fingers and it is difficult for me to scrub crevices and to do a lot of housework but this tool is saving my hands! It is really powerful and digs into small areas like between faucet handles and the sink drain holes. I am actually going to buy more of them so that I can use them in the kitchen and bathroom. I even tried to use it on the soles and edges of my white Nike Air Force Ones and it was so easy to clean them!" — D Lee
Get it from Amazon for $20.25.

Reviewers mention this was faster and more effective than one-time use drain snakes and chemical cleaners!
Promising review: "I couldn't believe I wasted my time with those liquid drain clearers. This was fast and efficient, and I only wish I had thought of a product like this sooner. Cleaned my bathroom sink in two seconds!" — Sn48
Get it from Amazon for $14.99 (available in two sizes).
26. An easy-wring microfiber spin mop if you're just now realizing that you've neglected to give your floors a proper deep clean since you moved into your apartment, ohhhh, six months ago now?
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Check it out on TikTok here!
Promising review: "I had had it with my broken basic mop and bucket. With three boys and a dog that makes his rounds on all the furniture and every exposed corner, I had to do something. Let me tell you, I HATE cleaning, I HATE mopping, but I LOVE for things to be clean. I was able to mop the entire house TWICE (because it was that dirty. Please don't judge.) within an hour. A few days later, I mopped the entire house again within 10 minutes because they weren't quite as dirty." — Molly
Get it from Amazon for $34.97.
27. An automatic mango- and hibiscus-scented toilet bowl cleaner that not only deodorizes, but prevents nasty rings and stains for up to two weeks.
Promising review: "So I decided to try this product after reading the reviews, some great and some not so great. I also talked to a friend who loves them! So, I figured for less than $4, I didn't have much to lose, and let me tell you, these things smell AMAZING!!! Super easy to apply, and the scent isn't too strong, but you can smell it when you go potty! If you pay attention to the water in the toilet bowl, you can see that it's actually working! Not sure how long each one will last, but for the price, you can just buy more!! I've also heard these are way better than the ones that hang onto the side of the toilet!" — Kay Kay
Get a pack of six from Amazon for $4.47.
28. A super-long duster so you can reach vents, ceiling fans, high windows, and other areas that are long overdue for a clean — no having to balance yourself on a step stool precariously placed on top of a bar stool (not like I've done that 👀 ) to reach them.
The microfiber dusting head is completely removable and machine-washable.
Promising review:"This sucker is LOOOONG. It's also short when you need it to be. But its length is one of its greatest assets, being able to reach even those ceiling beams you couldn't reach before. Finally reach the tops of picture frames that are hanging in awkwardly high places. Clean off the poles that extend the drop of the ceiling fans. Dust the corner speakers mounted at the ceiling. This is what I did in no time at all with this duster, and despite nearly two years of web buildup in some high places, I got the whole job done in just a few minutes. Seriously, you can wipe down all the webs that have been built — all without standing directly beneath the duster! The extra length also means no unexpected guests are going to drop down your shirt while you're evicting them. And I'm perfectly okay with that." — M. C. Payette
Get it from Amazon for $8.99 (also available in a two-pack and a version with extra attachments).
29. An all-natural glass cleaner powerful enough to tackle toothpaste-covered mirrors and weather-worn windowpanes. The kit comes with one Baseboard Buddy and three reusable pads which can be used wet or dry.
Promising review: "For many, this may seem like a waste of money. Not for me. I am over 65 and have difficulty getting up and down from the floor. As a result, my baseboards did not get dusted as frequently as the rest of the house. This made it so much easier for me." — retired
Get it from Amazon for $24.99.
31. An all-purpose squeegee that comes in clutch after a particularly steamy shower. Use it to wipe down shower doors, bathroom mirrors, and windows and you'll spend less time cleaning hard water stains later.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review: "We recently had our shower replaced, and I now have glass shower doors. Not wanting to get hard water–stained glass, I read up on the best ways to keep them clean. A common suggestion is to use a squeegee after showering to prevent spotting, so I bought this model. From what I can tell, it's very well made and made of quality materials. The rubber is smooth and substantial, unlike what you generally find in dollar stores. Once I got the hang of it, wiping down the glass doors was quick and easy, and it did a great job of whisking away the water drops. And it does help in keeping the glass from getting hard water spots. The little holder that comes with it can be stuck to the shower wall or the glass door, whichever is most convenient for you, so the squeegee is always there when you need it." — Sue I
Get it from Amazon for $11.59+ (available in three sizes and four colors).

Promising review:"Already on my second purchase! I love having a safe cleaning product that actually works and cuts down on the daily chemicals we are all exposed to. Love the smell of the grapefruit!...No smudging on windows and that sealed the deal for me. I've got a large front window and two toddlers who like to leave dirty hand marks and nose imprints on it. I couldn't drop the popular brand Windex because nothing else worked without leaving a cloud. I can now say, 'Goodbye ammonia!' Definitely recommend this product!" — rauchm404
Get it from Humble Suds on Etsy for $24.95 (available in three scents).
34. A handheld steam cleaner that uses high-pressure, high-temperature steam (no chemicals!) to blast away nastiness from hard-to-clean crevices like your toilet skirt.

Get it from Good Vibes for $12.50.
36. An investment-worthy mattress vacuum because putting on a clean pair of sheets is just the first step in freshening up your bed. This bb utilizes HEPA and activated carbon filters to suck up all sorts of debris and uses UV light to go after dust mites.
www.amazon.com
Promising review: "So, I bought this originally for my son, who gets really bad allergies to dust. At first, we didn't know what was causing this until someone told me to check our beds and furniture. Even though we change our bedsheets regularly, there will be dust left over. So I decided to give this a try, and they were right! I couldn't believe how many mites and how much dust there was. I took my time cleaning everyone's bed and our sofa, and it was easy to use and light. My son hasn't had a reaction in a while, which means this product works for my family!" — Lisa
Get it from Amazon for $109.99.

17 Married Women Share The Hardest Parts Of Marriage

Married men recently opened up about the difficulties of marriage they never expected, so of course, we wanted to hear a different point of view. When we recently asked married women of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us the "hardest parts" of marriage that surprised them the most, they gave candid answers about their struggles, hard lessons, and realizations. Here's what they had to say: "Carrying the burden. Men are not raised to raise a family, do housework, or pay attention to anyone else's needs. They are raised to believe that all they have to do is work and then come home and do nothing. I work two jobs, have raised two children, do literally everything in the house, and it's mentally exhausting. I'm exhausted from constantly telling my husband what needs to be done to the point where I just do it myself and move on. It's ridiculous." "You have to be prepared to be willing and open to speak about two of the toughest topics: finances and the circumstances around death. It's the worst, but you have to know how to survive without the other. Financially, if you have significant differences in pay, you need to figure out what 'equal' actually looks like in the home. This can be ugly if you're with someone unable to see the bigger picture, or selfish." "It's hard to coexist with someone all day, every day sometimes. It's the little things! Like leaving the cupboards open or not putting things where YOU want them to go. It's amazing, and I love being married, but no one tells you about the little idiosyncrasies you have to get used to!" "I married for the second time a week ago, so I'll speak on my first marriage. I just felt like I had higher expectations of my partner than when we were dating. For him, nothing changed but legality, but for me, having the title of wife was a big deal. I was able to grow and evolve with the relationship, and I guess it's on me that I was expecting him to do the same. He didn't, and he still hasn't." "When you marry the wrong man and don't realize it for 38 years. I sometimes wonder what I would have done with all those years if I'd walked a different path." "Sexual incompatibility. It ebbs and flows throughout the years. More people than you think live in sexless marriages." "The hardest part is planning everything, coordinating everything, and never being surprised or gifted anything. I've been married for two years and have been with my husband for seven. Guess who has had to plan everything for our birthdays and anniversaries. Guess who doesn't get complimented unless she prompts her husband. Guess who has to make a list down to the letter to get a birthday or Christmas present. More women need to know just how little effort men can get away with putting into marriages." "Marriage takes commitment every single day. You have to communicate every day. You have to show your love in some way every day. You need to make sure you agree on the important things (kids, faith, goals, money, family) BEFORE you get married. You will absolutely hurt each other at some point; no one is perfect. Your spouse is not responsible for your happiness, but your marriage is the responsibility of both of you." "Their mental health will affect your life. For better or worse. You can't fix them." "Many people won't want to hear this, but there are no hard parts if it's right. I've been married twice. The first time wasn't the right person. It was difficult, tiring. We had the same arguments over and over. My second marriage: No hard parts. We've been together 17 years, and every moment is a joy. It's easy, fun, passionate, and supportive. It's everything I dreamed of and more." "The sadness I feel with my husband not putting in any effort anymore. It's like when we got married, he thought he didn't need to try anymore. No nice gifts, no thank you, no cooking, and no effort. I stay for the kids, but it's a very lonely and sad marriage." "Never being alone. My husband traveled for work, averaging one week per month. Then, he retired, and I'm never alone for more than an hour or two. I didn't realize how much I needed alone time." "The hardest part: age. Second marriage for us both. We are older adults, having met as we both retired. Now that we're married, we're facing going from a hot relationship to age-related issues with health. It has impacted the formerly sexy relationship. I don't think either of us considered the road we were heading toward." "Expectation of sex. It becomes expected. The spontaneity and emotional part of it disappears. It becomes a role act." "Sometimes, you discover things about your spouse that you never knew, and it can potentially be enough to make you rethink who you chose to spend your life with. I have heard of women finding out about arrests and criminal records that had been expunged. I have heard about women finding out about medical issues their spouse had hidden for many years that deeply impact the marriage." "Losing your independence — putting your life on hold to raise children, and then when they're grown up, you don't feel wanted anymore." And finally... "Learning there is a fine line between compromise and bending until you break. In my first marriage, I had to eliminate my wants and desires for the marriage to exist. He had to be the only one with needs; everything was flipped as my fault. After years of bashing, I listened to his definition of my worth. I lost myself." This plush mattress topper transformed my bed and saved me from neck and back pain — and it costs less than $60

Once upon a time, my husband and I were sleeping on a really hard Queen-sized mattress. Almost every night I would toss and turn, waking up with a stiff back and neck. It wasn't fun. I complained to my husband — a lot. "Why didn't you just buy a new mattress?" you're probably thinking. Well, here's the scenario — we didn't want to buy a new king-sized bed — and all the accompanying bedroom furniture — until we bought our forever house. And we didn't want to invest in one of the best mattresses that we would only use for a year or so either before we'd move out. Finally, one night, while I was lost in the black hole that is Amazon Prime, I started looking at mattress toppers. I went straight to the page for Amazon's Choice products, which I've found to be a good starting point of well-priced and well-reviewed products. I found my favorite leggings this way, so I figured it would be a good way to find the best mattress topper, too. This is how I found the Linenspa 2-Inch Gel Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper: a soft mattress topper that turned my bed from a hard plank to a squishy oasis. The best part? The mattress topper cost me just a little less than $60. Design The Linenspa mattress topper has a simple design: it's essentially a sheet of memory foam that goes right on top of your mattress. There's no straps to connect it to your bed: simply unroll it and it's good to go. The mattress topper is made of memory foam infused with cooling gel. The foams are CertiPUR-US certified, meaning they're free of dangerous chemicals, and the entire topper is Oeko-Tex Certified. It's available in two heights: two inches and three inches. The two-inch version is typically better if you prefer a medium-firm feel, while the three-inch version is best if you like ultimate plushness. The Linenspa mattress topper comes in a plethora of sizes from twin to California king, including twin XL, full XL, and short queen. Our review of the Linenspa Mattress Topper The mattress topper arrived the next day in vacuum-sealed packaging and was easy to unroll. It was easy for me to carry as it's less than 10 pounds, but if you have any trouble carrying that weight, I'd suggest getting a friend or family member to help. The mattress topper looked super flat at first but then quickly expanded to its full two-inches. The pad itself is blue, and the memory foam is infused with a cooling gel that supposedly captures and distributes body heat in order to help regulate temperature and keep you cool at night. I didn't really notice this aspect of the topper a lot since I just wanted to sleep on a softer surface, but my husband and I both sleep hot and we didn't wake up sweaty so I guess it helped a little. Depending on when you get your topper, I'd suggest opening it in the morning, placing it on your bed, and allowing it to "breathe" for several hours before sleeping on it. Some reviewers complain that it has an odor because it was vacuum-sealed, but I didn't experience that. Some mattress toppers come with a cover, but this one doesn't, so you might want to order one. Alternatively, you can place it under a mattress pad, which is what I did. Or you can just place it directly on your mattress and put your bed sheets on top. The first night sleeping on our doctored-up bed was honestly pretty awesome. While I can't say it was like sleeping on a cloud, it definitely transformed our hard slab to a plusher, more body-conforming mattress and we felt like we were sleeping on a new mattress. After sleeping on the bed for several weeks, my husband noticed that my back and neck pain complaints subsided substantially too. In retrospect, I should have gone with the three-inch version instead for a little more cushioning. After several months, the topper is still in great condition and has definitely made our mattress much more comfortable. I haven't noticed any sagging or denting either. Cons to consider While the mattress topper was extremely comfortable, it's worth noting that it doesn't come with straps to attach to your bed. If you're a restless sleeper, this might pose a problem, as the topper is more likely to shift around on your bed. Also, it can be difficult to know if the two-inch or three-inch topper is best for you. After trying it, I'd recommend the three-inch topper if you want a plush feel. What are your alternatives? The best budget pick in our best mattress topper guide is the Lucid Bamboo Memory Foam Topper. Like the Linenspa topper, it's a simple sheet of memory foam. It performed well in our cooling and motion isolation tests. Plus, it's super plush and has three thickness options. The bottom line The Linenspa mattress topper was an incredibly small investment for such a huge improvement in our quality of sleep. I'm really glad that I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on a topper, especially because this one worked just fine. As I mentioned before, if I could go back in time I might've chosen the plusher three-inch option, which only costs $20 more. But we're still happy with our two-inch topper and now my husband doesn't have to listen to me complain about my neck and back.
