Swiss Water Reports First Quarter 2025 Results

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 07, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Inc. (TSX:SWP) ('Swiss Water' or 'the Company'), a leading specialty coffee company and premium green coffee decaffeinator, today reported financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2025. All amounts are expressed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
First Quarter 2025 Highlights
'We entered 2025 with solid momentum, delivering volume growth and steady execution despite continued volatility in the coffee market,'
said Frank Dennis, CEO of Swiss Water
. 'Customer demand remained healthy, and we added new accounts while maintaining strong operational performance across our platform. As expected in an inverted market, some of our hedge positions resulted in timing-related losses as contracts were rolled forward and negatively impacted Adjusted EBITDA. However, revised pricing initiatives are in place, and we expect to fully recover any incremental hedge losses incurred this year. These changes reflect the mechanics of managing risk in a complex pricing environment. We also made a strategic decision to increase inventory levels to support anticipated volume and ensure product availability for our customers. Looking ahead, while we expect some ongoing variability in ordering patterns due to price sensitivity, tariffs and broader macroeconomic pressures, we remain confident in the strength of our business and our ability to serve customers reliably in a complex market.'
Summary of Operational Performance
Summary of Financial Results
Adjusted EBITDA
Swiss Water defines Adjusted EBITDA as net income before interest, depreciation, amortization, impairments, share-based compensation, gains/losses on foreign exchange, gains/losses on disposal of property and capital equipment, fair value adjustments on embedded options, loss on extinguishment of debt, adjustment for the impact of IFRS 16 - Leases, and provision for income taxes and other non-cash gains related to a remeasurement of asset retirement obligation. The Company's definition of Adjusted EBITDA also excludes unrealized gains and losses on the undesignated portion of foreign exchange forward contracts.
The reconciliation of net income, an IFRS measure, to Adjusted EBITDA is as follows:
Subsequent Event
On April 2, 2025, the US administration announced the implementation of a 10% tariff on most imports from a broad range of countries, effective April 5, 2025.
While imports of coffee beans into Canada remain unaffected, coffee exported from Canada to the United States that retain their original country-of-origin designation are now subject to this new tariff structure. These tariff rules and classifications also apply to Swiss Water's competitors based outside Canada.
This development introduces additional cost pressures on Swiss Water's U.S.-bound shipments. From Q2'25 Swiss Water will include any tariff charges it incurs on shipments on the invoice to its US customers. The Company is evaluating the negative impact that higher prices may have on customer purchasing behaviour going forward.

Commencement of 2025 Exploration Campaign

Reykjavík, July 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Amaroq Ltd. ('Amaroq' or the 'Company') Commencement of 2025 Exploration Campaign TORONTO, ONTARIO – 21 July 2025 – Amaroq Ltd. (AIM, TSX-V, NASDAQ Iceland: AMRQ, OTCQX: AMRQF), an independent mine development corporation focused on unlocking Greenland's mineral potential, is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2025 exploration campaign. Highlights James Gilbertson, VP Exploration for Amaroq, commented: 'The launch of our 2025 exploration campaign marks one of the most ambitious and wide-ranging programmes in Amaroq's history. With active drilling at our flagship gold assets of Nalunaq and Nanoq, and regional work expanding our understanding of the copper, nickel, and rare earth elements opportunities; this season truly showcases the breadth of Greenland's mineral potential. It is incredibly exciting to see rigs and teams deployed from the southern fjords, all the way to our newest projects in the north and across the West Greenland Hub - a reflection of both our growing footprint and the multi-commodity opportunity we're pursuing.' 2025 Exploration Programme location, targets and detail 2025 Exploration Overview and Activity Plan Gold Projects Nalunaq gold mine Following the announcement of the fourth Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE4) in April 2025, (including a maiden Indicated Resource and increased total Mineral Resources1), the exploration team has undertaken detailed planning to incorporate these results into both ongoing operations and the 2025 exploration programme. In consultation with Bara Consulting, Amaroq plans to conduct an integrated programme of underground and surface exploration. Underground drilling will proceed almost continuously, focusing on expanding both the scale and confidence of the resource within the Mountain Block and Target Block areas. At surface, the Company plans up to 3,500 metres of core drilling across the lower Target Block and the South Block Deeps - an area interpreted as a potential down-dip continuation of the Nalunaq Main Vein; looking to further de-risk the 1.7 million ounce Exploration Target. Nanoq The 2024 Nanoq drilling campaign returned encouraging high-grade results. Starting in late July 2025, Amaroq will conduct a comprehensive multi-rig drilling programme in order to evaluate the scale of the resource opportunity and advance towards defining a maiden Mineral Resource. Equipment has been shipped from Denmark via Nalunaq, with arrival at the Nanoq site expected during the second half of July 2025. The planned programme includes approximately 5,000 metres of core drilling across the central zone, with additional exploratory drilling possible along the western extension. A 45-person camp and supporting facilities will be established near the drill sites, enabling core logging, cutting, and sampling on site. This approach provides flexibility to adapt the drill plan in real time as results are received. Gold Satellite Projects Field exploration and geological reconnaissance will be carried out across the Vagar and Anoritooq licences, targeting both historical gold occurrences and new prospects generated by Amaroq in previously unexplored areas. This work will build on structural interpretations from earlier field campaigns and aims to define targets with the potential to supply satellite feed to the Nalunaq Gold Mine. Gardaq A/S - Strategic Minerals Projects (51% ownership through Gardaq Joint Venture) Regional Copper Exploration Advised by Dr. Steve Garwin, the team will advance copper focussed exploration at Ukaleq and additional targets within the Johan Dahl Land licence areas. This work will extend across the broader South Greenland Copper Belt, guided by remote sensing datasets and results from previous exploration campaigns, aiming to delineate epithermal or porphyry style mineralisation. The programme retains flexibility to undertake scout drilling on one or more targets during 2025, contingent upon positive early results. Stendalen and Regional Nickel Exploration Building on 2025 exploration activities and new geophysical interpretations, Amaroq will carry out further ground assessments along with geological and structural mapping. These efforts will refine current models and define robust drill targets for 2026. The team will also evaluate a series of regional copper-nickel sulphide targets identified across the broader licence portfolio. Regional Rare Earth Elements ('REE') Exploration Following the award of additional exploration licences focussed on REE mineralisation, Amaroq plans to expand regional exploration across the Gardar Igneous Province. Work will focus on assessing both confirmed and newly identified REE targets, with the aim of establishing the resource potential and scale of opportunity. Minturn Amaroq has applied for - and expects approval of - a new licence covering the Minturn IOCG (iron ore, copper, gold) target in Inglefield Land, Northwest Greenland. Upon confirmation, the Company intends to complete a reconnaissance visit to evaluate logistical considerations and collect a comprehensive suite of geochemical samples. These efforts will support detailed targeting and planning for the 2026 exploration season. West Greenland Hub Amaroq have commenced a review of the historical data of the Company's recently acquired assets in West Greenland: the former producing zinc, lead, silver mine at Black Angel, as well as the proximal Kangerluarsuk zinc/lead project. The aim of the review is to define the resource growth potential and re-development strategy for Black Angel. A reconnaissance visit to assess the condition of the on-site facilities, which include accommodation for a 20+person camp, helicopter hangers, cable car equipment, deep water harbour and mine infrastructure has taken place, with encouraging resource growth potential seen at both the Glacier and Deep Ice zones. Further assessments and planning will continue through the exploration season in preparation for a comprehensive exploration programme in 2026. Enquiries: Amaroq Ltd. SEALSQ and WISeKey Confirm New Cross-Border Center of Excellence for the 4th Industrial Revolution Activated Between La Line and Gibraltar

By GlobeNewswire Published on July 21, 2025, 10:00 IST Geneva, Switzerland, July 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) ('SEALSQ' or 'Company'), a company that focuses on developing and selling Semiconductors, PKI, and Post-Quantum technology hardware and software products, and its parent company WISeKey International Holding Ltd ('WISeKey') (SIX: WIHN, NASDAQ: WKEY), today announced that a transformative initiative launched several years ago to establish a Cross-Border Deeptech Center of Excellence (the 'Center') for the 4th Industrial Revolution is now being formally activated, following the historic agreement between Spain and the United Kingdom on Gibraltar's post-Brexit border status. Strategically located near Gibraltar Airport, this innovative Center will act as a shared technological and industrial hub bridging La Línea de la Concepción (Spain) and Gibraltar (UK). It aims to provide a collaborative platform for companies working in advanced technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, the Internet of Things, AI, Space, Cybersecurity, and Semiconductors, aiming to position the region as a global epicenter of innovation. The recent UK–EU agreement facilitates the free and secure movement of people and goods across the border, unlocking opportunity for the Company to realise the full potential of this ambitious project and enabling seamless cooperation between the two jurisdictions. Meetings held with the Gibraltar government and the Mayor of La Línea have resulted in unanimous support for the project. The Center is recognized as a mutually beneficial opportunity: Gibraltar-based companies will gain access to European Union technology legislation and platforms, while Spanish businesses located at the Center will benefit from cooperation with Gibraltar and potential partnerships with African innovation ecosystems, reinforcing the region's status as a tri-continental innovation gateway. First Milestone: Manufacturing Plant for Post-Quantum Communication Devices Under the cross-border framework, the first physical installation is planned to be a secure manufacturing facility in La Línea dedicated to producing post-quantum-ready communication devices. These devices are intended to form the foundation of a secure communications infrastructure designed to operate seamlessly with satellite constellations, providing quantum-resilient, end-to-end communications across industries. This facility is also expected to host the initial manufacturing operations for WISeKey's secure space communication platform. Production would begin as soon as the site becomes operational, establishing La Línea as a new hub for secure aerospace and telecommunications manufacturing. In parallel, SEALSQ has allocated a dedicated budget to develop its first post-quantum communication device manufacturing plant, confirming its commitment to secure, satellite-linked, next-generation technologies. This plant will produce devices that connect directly with satellite constellation, delivering resilient, quantum-secure data flows critical to sectors such as defense, logistics, healthcare, and energy. Additionally, WISeKey and SEALSQ have signed a memorandum of understanding with the regional port authority to implement Smart Container Technology, allowing maritime cargo containers, even in mid-sea transit, to connect directly with satellites. This will enable real-time, secure, blockchain-verifiable logistics tracking, bolstering supply chain transparency and resilience on a global scale. A Quantum Corridor for Europe's Digital Sovereignty The Center is a vital node in the expanding Post-Quantum Corridor, a high-tech European network being developed by SEALSQ and WISeKey to enable secure, quantum-resilient infrastructure from chip to satellite. This strategic corridor connects key technology hubs including: • La Línea de la Concepción• Gibraltar• Malaga Technology Park• Murcia – home of the QUANTIX Semiconductor Center• Aix-en-Provence – SEALSQ Semiconductor R&D Center and Operational Headquarters• Grenoble – IC'ALPS Advanced Chip Development Lab • Geneva – WISeKey and SEALSQ Global R&D and Cybersecurity Centers The Quantum Corridor will also integrate leading universities across the region to foster academic–industry collaboration and talent development. It will provide a dynamic environment for quantum, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity companies to work together, co-developing the secure, intelligent technologies of the future, from next-generation encryption to space-based AI systems and quantum processors. In the coming weeks, SEALSQ will engage a leading international consulting firm to develop a comprehensive business and technology integration plan for the Cross-Border Center. This strategic study will guide the implementation of the project, from infrastructure to ecosystem development. It will be aligned with existing studies already underway in Gibraltar focused on shared prosperity, helping to shape a unified master plan for the successful and coordinated execution of the initiative on both sides of the border. Public and Private Funding Synergies The project will benefit from grants and allocation of funding available for this type of strategic activity, particularly those supporting innovation, digital infrastructure, and cross-border cooperation. This public support will be complemented by investment from the private sector on a pari passu basis, ensuring a balanced and sustainable funding model that drives both economic development and technological leadership. 'Think of the Center as an aircraft carrier for innovation,' said Carlos Moreira, CEO of SEALSQ. 'Companies can land, refuel with knowledge and infrastructure, and take off again stronger. Instead of each company reinventing the wheel, they plug into a common ecosystem, just like plugging into the electricity grid.' The Cross-Border Center of Excellence will serve as a launchpad for collaborative research, startup incubation, international joint ventures, and workforce training programs, aligned with the long-term strategies of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and key private-sector stakeholders. Further announcements regarding the Center's commissioning, founding partners, and investment roadmap will follow in the coming weeks. With another tariff deadline looming, these 10 things are going the right way for stocks

Conventional wisdom holds that as we get closer and closer to the coming deadline for tariff resolution, the market will become more treacherous, especially for highly valued stocks. I don't know who writes these stories. I always check the bylines and I have never worked with them or hired them. I will tell you this: their lack of knowledge of how the market works is painful. Their shoddy knowledge of market history would never be tolerated in any classroom. They are, what we used to call at The Harvard Crimson, "filler-up stories," meaning stories that had to be written because copy was needed. In truth, while the deadline looms, there is no relation between the highly valued stocks and the events at hand. I actually expect severe news about South Korea and Japan before Aug. 1 — the Trump administration's "hard deadline," in the words of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, for when new country-specific duty rates will come into effect. Korean car companies "make" vehicles here, but the White House would argue to you that all they do is assemble them here, while the more highly valued pieces of a car are made in the home country. Japan makes even less here but is defended, like Korea, by our soldiers, and I could see President Donald Trump invoking that fact to put on some capricious number — call it 35% tariffs on their imports — because that level is eye-grabbing. So, I doubt we're even going to get to the drop dead date of Aug. 1 without more drama. Does anyone who trades or invests think that the tariffs will influence the most highly valued stocks, none other than my newly minted cohort called PARC — Palantir , Applovin , Robinhood and Coinbase ? These all have room to run because if you are willing to pay 100 times earnings it means nothing to pay 200. That's the gospel. How can these writers not know that? Can Palantir be stopped by Canadian tariffs? Oh please, and if crypto gets knocked down, it will get up again. It's never going to keep that down. Let's flip this moment on its head and question what's buoying the near-record market as second-quarter earnings season picks up steam (we have five Club names reporting this week). I have 10 things on the list, some already happening and others more forward-looking. First, and most obvious: earnings have been terrific. Yes, there is an occasional Abbott Labs , which was brutalized by China, or Netflix , which was challenged by sky-high expectations. But the banks have set the tone, and the pastiche that closed out the week all came in very strong. I expect that to continue, with the only potential weak spot being the drugmakers. Just not enough blockbusters and some very weak pipelines. It's been a brutal year for health care overall, sitting last among all 11 sectors in the S & P 500 . Second, Trump's "big beautiful bill" contains so many provisions that will boost the economy that I think we need to rethink the possibility of a hobbled consumer. Consider these: An extension of the 2017 tax cuts that were set to expire at the end of this year, which could've resulted in an effective tax increase across income cohorts. This is particularly helpful for those who make less than $100,000. A tax deduction worth up to $25,000 for employees who earn tips, a huge win for the working class. Millions of U.S. workers stand to benefit from this. Increased standard deduction to $31,500 (from $30,000) for married joint filers and $15,750 (from $15,000) for single filers. That can make taxes easier to figure out and deliver a bigger benefit. Max child tax credit of $2,200 per child, up from $2,000, which impacts around 40 million families. Expanding 529 savings plans to cover workforce credentialing programs in areas like the trades. A new deduction on car loan interest for vehicles made in the U.S., capped at $10,000 a year. For higher earners, the size of the deduction is reduced. Tax-advantaged savings accounts for newborns, the so-called "Trump accounts." Some tax relief for seniors on Social Security benefits. These are huge benefits that will pump hundreds of billions in the U.S. economy and it's like no one ever cares. Tariffs are important. But these put money in the hands of spenders. Third, business get more tax relief on spending, building and research-and-development costs than anyone expected. Accelerated deductions and credit for building things will set off another boom. I talked about these in a previous piece . Every time I have ever seen this kind of relief, it generates far more spending and jobs than anyone expects. Fourth, we seem to be oblivious to how countries are signaling to Washington that they are going to make their companies build here in order to get some relief from the White House. There's also re-shoring to contend with. Sure, the White House may be circumspect about an Apple putting $500 billion into the U.S. economy in the next four years, but I'm not. Fifth, the amount of building that needs to be done for data centers and for the electric grid are so gigantic that they might be considered the equivalent of the biggest public works campaigns in history, and they include a huge labor component not often addressed. Don't forget that nuclear power overhauls are gigantic projects. Sixth, the Federal Reserve's new stress tests for banks will allow them to lend far more than they currently do. We forget how much heat there has been on the banks in the wake of the financial crisis to be incredibly conservative. That's over. Seventh, the opening of all sorts of land for drilling and the approval of a huge number of new pipelines will create a second renaissance of the U.S. energy sector. Eighth, two industries have so much business and are so important to the U.S. economy that they will be colossal sources of work: aerospace, where Boeing has to expand to meet new orders, and defense, where we are depleted by Ukraine. A heavy component in this sector is new kinds of weapons including drones. Ninth, the initial public offering market is primed and ready, and I think can create new jobs and new wealth for employees and sustained profits for the investment banks, which is why they are such great buys. We own Goldman Sachs for the Club. And finally No. 10, it's been so easy to bet against stocks for so long because the Biden administration had been so anti-business, particularly when it comes to mergers and acquisitions. That's over. Now short-sellers will be incredibly scared to lean on stocks. Witness the rally in the railroads last week that crushed shorts banking on weaker transport earnings. Now, again, Trump seems to do whatever is necessary to derail us in astounding fashion. But we need to think more creatively. When we hear talk of him firing Fed Chair Jerome Powell, what you need to think is that no matter what, lower rates lie ahead. I don't think it will be because of a weaker economy because of what I just detailed, but because Trump wants to have a gross domestic product boom so he can say we are the fastest-growing, most-powerful country in the world. That's what Make American Great Again stands for. Even if you think it is a gigantic fraud, remember that Trump — through a gigantic hole in the budget and pro-business agencies — has created the circumstances that could lead to the opposite of what the "filler-up stories" say will happen.
