Muslim Brotherhood In Syria Rejects Statement From Parent Organization Declaring Support For Iran In War With Israel: We Will Not Side With 'The Criminals Who Have Destroyed Iraq, Syria, And Yemen', W
On June 19, only hours after the MB statement was released, the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria released its own communique on its X account disavowing any statement issued in the name of the Muslim Brotherhood that "supports the murderers, champions the criminals, and sides, under any pretext, with the project of the criminals who have destroyed Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, and displaced millions of Arabs and Muslims."[2]
Categorically rejecting the significance of the role of Iran and its proxies in the Syrian revolution, the MB in Syria stated: "We reaffirm that our position on the two parties to this crime [i.e. Iran and Israel], who are vying for hegemony and influence in our region to change our religion and humiliate our peoples, as we have seen happen in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon, remain unchanged."
"We disavow both projects, and we will not be deceived by any cunning criminal among them," the Syrian branch declared.
The post emphasized that MB in Syria utterly rejects any statement made by any party that claims to represent the Muslim Brotherhood, or by any official or popular authority claiming to represent Islam and Muslims.
In achieving victory in Syria, claimed the statement, the MB in Syria has never and will never be guided by anything other than their national compass, and that their political calculations will always prioritize "national interests."
Further, it asserted that Muslims need to work diligently to achieve liberation and counter all projects of hegemony, influence, and deception of the masses by those who exploit and distort Islam.
"Only serious, planned action, and not humiliating subservience to criminals and imposters," the statement concluded, adding a prayer for the victory and empowerment for the just causes of the Muslims, foremost among which is the Palestinian cause.

Iraqis protest at Egyptian Embassy in Baghdad, demand Rafah crossing opening
Baghdad ( – Hundreds of Iraqis gathered last night, Saturday (July 26, 2025), in front of the Egyptian Embassy in Baghdad, protesting to demand that the Egyptian government open the Rafah crossing to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. Among the demonstrators was Iraqi-British doctor Mohammed Taher, known for his humanitarian work in Gaza last year. Several other Iraqi activists involved in aiding the Palestinian people also participated in the protest, underscoring widespread public concern over the humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave. Ahmed Ali Al-Yasiri, one of the protestors interviewed by IraqiNews, expressed strong condemnation of the situation. 'We condemn the Egyptian government's actions of preventing aid from passing through the Rafah border entrance, and we call on our Egyptian brothers to act swiftly and let the aid into Gaza,' Al-Yasiri stated. These protests in Baghdad are not isolated. They reflect a global outcry, with demonstrations frequently taking place in numerous cities across the world, from London and New York to Amman and Jakarta. Activists and citizens worldwide are consistently urging their governments and international bodies to pressure for increased humanitarian access and an end to the crisis in Gaza, making the opening of border crossings like Rafah a central demand.

U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack: Turkey Is the Center Point of the Middle East; Its Leadership Has Brought Al-Sharaa to Power in Syria, Shaped Events There; Israel Nee
U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack discussed in a June 29, 2025 interview on Anadolu News Agency (Turkey) Turkish President Erdoğan's role in instating the Al-Sharaa regime in Turkey. He said that Turkey has never had the 'elevation' of the level of relevance it deserves as a major regional player. Barrack said that Turkey can be the center point of how the Middle East should be, a blend of Muslims, Jews, and Christians with different viewpoints. He stated that what is happening in Syria is due to Turkey's leadership. He said Israel is in the process of being redefined, and what recently happened between Israel and Iran is an opportunity to create a 'new road,' with Turkey being key in this new direction. He stated that for the first time, America and Turkey have an agreement to be not just 'defense partners' but also 'offense partners.' Barrack added that President Al‑Sharaa has indicated that he does not hate Israel, does not hold religious resentment toward Israel, and wants peace with Israel.

Syria arrests key liaison between Iraqi PMF and Al-Assad's Division in Deir ez-Zor
Shafaq News – Damascus Syrian security forces have arrested the main liaison between Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and the 4th Division of the Syrian army in the eastern city of al-Bukamal, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Saturday. According to the UK-based war monitor, the individual—identified as Mohammad Hammoud al-Amin—was detained in a special operation carried out by Syria's Internal Security Forces. Al-Amin is described as the key "architect" of security and military coordination between the PMF and the 4th Division, which is commanded by Maher al-Assad, the brother of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The monitor said that he previously served as head of the "Alawite Security Office" in al-Bukamal and was reportedly one of the most influential intelligence figures in the area. 'His role had gained importance amid the increasing influence of Iranian-backed groups in Syria's eastern region over the past several years.' The PMF did not comment on the incident. Earlier this month, the security forces arrested another figure linked to the 4th Division, Shadi al-Samadi. He was a commander in the 'al-Ghaith' group, an elite unit led by Brigadier General Ghiath Dallah, a close ally of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Al-Samadi, originally from Daraa al-Mahatta in southern Syria, is accused of participating in documented military operations and atrocities, including the 2014 offensive on Eastern Ghouta and the 2018 military campaign in Daraa. Despite the Russian-brokered reconciliation deal that followed, he reportedly continued his activities under the 4th Division's banner.
