2025 NFC West RB rankings: Stacking up the backup RBs in the division
It is the time of the offseason, as we have done for years here on Cards Wire, where we go through each position and rank players and position groups in the NFC West. We continue by looking at the four starting primary backup running backs for the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
All four guys are the same as how the season ended last year.
Let's see how they stack up against one another.
1. Isaac Guerendo, 49ers
Guerendo was back on the depth chart but ended up as a starter. He had games with 99, 85 and 78 yards. While of the four backups in the division, he is the one who would probably make the worst RB1, he is a perfect complement to Christian McCaffrey.
2. Zach Charbonnet, Seahawks
He started six games last season have had over 50 yards in five of them, including one game of 134 and another with 91. He also had 42 receptions for 340 yards, gaining a total of 909 yards from scrimmage with nine total touchdowns.
3. Trey Benson, Cardinals
Benson expects a bigger role in his second season. He started slowly and looked like a rookie. By the end of the year, he rushed for 291 yards and a touchdown, averaging 4.6 yards per attempt. He believes he and James Conner can pair up as a two RB1s in the offense. He has the makings of a big play back who could also be a workhorse, but he hasn't accomplished yet what Charbonnet has.
4. Blake Corum, Rams
In limited action, he had 207 yards on 3.7 yards per carry. He was not particularly efficient and seems to have the least upside of the four division backups.

Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong shows off early 4th of July fireworks against Cardinals
The post Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong shows off early 4th of July fireworks against Cardinals appeared first on ClutchPoints. Chicago Cubs rising star Pete Crow-Armstrong showed off early 4th of July fireworks on Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals. The outfielder is quickly making a name for himself and will represent the National League as the starting centerfielder in the 2025 All-Star Game in a few weeks. Advertisement On a 4th of July Friday game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field, Crow-Armstrong started the game off with a bang. Before he even stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the first inning, PCA made a spectacular diving catch to rob Masyn Winn of a hit. There is nobody quicker in the outfield. After a smooth first inning for Cubs' starter Colin Rea, the Cubs came to bat. Seiya Suzuki stepped up to the plate and smashed a home run with two out. Then PCA, came to the dish and followed with a longshot of his own. Crow-Armstrong provided an early fireworks show for the fans. However, PCA and the Cubs were not done. In the bottom of the second inning, Michael Busch and Carson Kelly both hit home runs as well against starting pitcher Miles Mikolas. The starting pitcher allowed four home runs before he could register four outs. Advertisement The fireworks kept happening in the 3rd inning. Crow-Armstrong homered yet again. In two at-bats in this game, PCA had two home runs in three innings and had a diving catch. What can't he do? Busch followed with another home run as well to make it 7-0 Cubs against the Red Birds in the 3rd inning. Crow-Armstrong now has 23 homers on the year. That puts him into a tie with James Wood for 7th place in the league. Nobody would have thought that would be possible for a guy his size, but he continues to showcase five tools when on the baseball diamond. Cubs, Cardinals make completely opposite types of history
The post Cubs, Cardinals make completely opposite types of history appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Chicago Cubs squared off against their rival, the St. Louis Cardinals, on July 4. An electric performance by Pete Crow Armstrong helped lead the Cubs to an 11-3 victory in the first game of a three-game series. Advertisement In the process, both teams made 4th of July history. First, the Cubs set a franchise record with eight home runs. They matched the 1977 Boston Red Sox for the most home runs hit on July 4, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Ironically, the Cardinals gave up the most home runs in franchise history, per Katie Woo of The Athletic. The Cubs swung the bats throughout the game. Crow-Armstrong, the starting All-Star centerfielder, went 4-for-4, including two home runs and two doubles. In addition, first baseman Michael Busch hit three home runs and went 4-for-4. SS Dansby Swanson, DH Seiya Suzuki, and catcher Carson Kelly each hit a home run for a total of 8. As for RF Kyle Tucker, he went 0-for-4 at the plate. Advertisement The Cubs are now 53-35 and hold onto a four-game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central. Also, the Cubs and Cardinals respectively add another dimension to baseball lore on the 4th of July. The Cubs and Cardinals add to the fireworks. Every July 4, baseball is played. The Cubs and Cardinals making a unique form of history is the latest in a unique tradition. July 4 manages to bring out the best in baseball. Additionally, it captures the fascination of the general public beyond the game itself. The most memorable July 4 moment came in 1939 when the 'Iron Horse' Lou Gehrig made his famous farewell speech. He spoke before thousands at Yankee Stadium and said, 'I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth.' Advertisement This was shortly after he was diagnosed with ALS, the disease that bears his name. In 1983, Yankees pitcher Dave Raghetti threw a no-hitter against the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium. This game between the Cubs and the Cardinals ranks among the best moments to occur on this special day.
