Boylan takes over sole possession of first place in NIC-10 soccer with a win over Hononegah
A low scoring first half turned into an offensive second half. Only one goal was scored in the first half. Sophie Moore sent a header toward the Hononegah goal that Kylie Tewell knocked in for a 1-0 Boylan lead.
In the second half, the Lady Titans scored a pair of goals only 40 seconds apart by Joscelyn Posada and Ava Galluzzo for a 3-0 lead. Hononegah got on the board on a long shot by Sophia Plourde making it 3-1. Boylan added two more goals and Hononegah one more for the final of 5-2.

NFL Top 100: Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield is No. 50, will play the Cardinals in 2025
This week, the NFL began its sixth week revealing players in the "NFL Top 100." This week, players 41-50 will be revealed. On Monday, a player the Arizona Cardinals will face in the back half of this coming season came in at No. 50. Player No. 50 is Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield. He was not in the top 100 in 2024. Mayfield led the Bucs to the playoffs for the second straight year, winning the NFC South, giving the Bucs five straight playoff appearances. He had his best season in 2024, completing 71.4% of his passes for 4,500 yards, 41 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He was third in the NFL in passing yards, third in completion percentage and second in touchdown passes. He also led the NFL in interceptions. "The ultimate teammate," said running back Rachaad White, Mayfield's teammate. Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, No. 58 in the top 100, said Mayfield "wakes up, like he says, feeling dangerous." He is the closest thing to Brett Favre this generation has seen. He is a gamer, an incredible competitor. He "can make some crazy plays," according to 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. Saints safety J.T. Gray said Mayfield has "a Superman ability." However, he has never beaten the Cardinals. He is 0-3 against the Cardinals and Kyler Murray, his old buddy at Oklahoma. The Cardinals have a six-game stretch to end the 2025 regular season with four games against 2024 division winners and two teams that just missed the playoffs last season. That stretch opens in Week 13 with the Bucs on the road. Can Murray and the Cardinals keep Mayfield winless against them one more time? We will see. Yankees slide continues thanks to walk-off Rangers HR in extras; Aaron Judge could return as soon as Tuesday
A change of venue was not the cure for what's ailing the New York Yankees. Help could soon be on the way. Prior to Monday's game against the Texas Rangers, manager Aaron Boone announced that MVP slugger Aaron Judge could return to the lineup from injury as soon as Tuesday. But Judge was of no help to the Yankees Monday night. Hours after Boone's announcement, the Yankees lost, 8-5 to the Rangers in heartbreaking, walk-off fashion. But the Rangers batted around in the second to take a 4-3 lead. The Yankees retook the lead and held a 5-4 advantage heading into the bottom of the ninth. There, pinch hitter Joc Pederson sent it to extras. With the bases empty and one out, Pederson launched a 2-1 Devin Williams changeup over the plate into the right-field stands to tie the game at 5-5. The blown save was the third of the season for Williams, a two-time All-Star and lights-out closer with the Milwaukee Brewers. With Pederson's home run, Williams' ERA in his first season in New York inflated to 5.10. The blast set up Josh Jung for his 10th-inning heroics. With a man on second and two outs, the Yankees intentionally walked Wyatt Langford to get to Jung in the six slot. Reliever Jake Bird left a 1-1 sinker thigh-high and just inside that Jung turned on. Yankees in free-fall, face critical games vs. Rangers The loss was the Yankees' fourth straight following an unprecedented three-game sweep at the hands of the Miami Marlins. They're now 7-10 since the All-Star break. The defeat dropped the once first-place Yankees to 60-53, 5.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL East and 2.5 games behind the rival Boston Red Sox, who won their sixth straight game Monday night. It also left them with a 1.5-game cushion over the Rangers and in a tie with the Seattle Mariners for the last wild-card spot in the American League. This three-game series against the Rangers could end up proving critical for the postseason standings, and it's already going bad for New York. Judge can't return soon enough. Will Judge play Tuesday night? Judge has missed 10 straight games with a flexor strain in his right elbow that landed him on the injured list. He took batting practice over the weekend and is eligible to return to the lineup Tuesday. Boone told reporters Monday that that's the plan. Or he thinks it is, at least. "I think that's the plan,' Boone said of starting Judge Tuesday night. Barring risk of further injury, expect Judge to play on Tuesday if there's any way that he can.
