Google Pixel 10 launch date confirmed with multiple devices teased

Invites have gone out for the Google Pixel 10 launch event, along with a tease that there will be more than one product announced.
Google will hold its Made by Google event on August 20, with the invite reading 'you're invited to an in-person Made by Google show where we'll introduce the latest additions to our Pixel portfolio of devices.' The event kicks off at 1pm ET, 10am PT.

While the invite doesn't specifically name check the Pixel 10 series, the wording of 'devices' shows us Google is planning to reveal multiple pieces of hardware.
If we look at the Made by Google event from August 2024, the Pixel 9 series of four smartphones were announced, alongside the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2.
Recent reports and leaks point towards a similar line-up of products this time around, with the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and 10 Pro Fold all heavily featuring in reports over recent months.
We've heard less about the possible arrival of the Watch 4 and Buds Pro 3, but don't rule them out just yet.
And there's plenty for Google to compete with, with the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series at the start of the year, the impressive OnePlus 13 and OnePlus Watch 3, Apple's surprise introduction of the iPhone 16e and its iOS 26 Liquid Glass overhaul waiting in the wings, and Samsung's recent launch of the super-slim Galaxy Z Fold 7.
It's set to be a bumper event for tech fans, so circle August 20 on your calendars. We have.

L3Harris plans further Arkansas expansion for rocket motor production

By Mike Stone WASHINGTON (Reuters) -L3Harris Technologies plans to expand the size of its Arkansas solid rocket motor production facilities, it said on Thursday, as it seeks a sixfold production increase for large solid rocket motors to meet soaring demand. The Russia-Ukraine war and conflicts in the Middle East have seen demand for arms and military equipment balloon, with militaries around the world aiming to replenish stockpiles, benefiting contractors such as L3Harris. The Arkansas expansion is the company's latest effort to modernize its capabilities following its acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne and as the U.S. government attempts to develop an expanded homeland missile defense shield dubbed Golden Dome. The nearly $500 million investment would develop an additional 110 acres, adding more than 20 buildings and 130,000 square feet of manufacturing space to the company's existing 2,000-acre site in Camden. "Large solid rocket motors are essential to our nation's missile and strategic defense," said L3Harris CEO Chris Kubasik in a statement. "As the Trusted Disruptor, we are strengthening our ability to produce these systems rapidly and at scale, which is essential for current demand and the Golden Dome missile defense shield." Large solid rocket motors are used in missile defense systems, interceptors, and hypersonic vehicles. In February, L3Harris began building four solid rocket motor production facilities for smaller tactical weapons at its Camden site in Arkansas. Substack raises $100M from Chernin Group, Andreessen Horowitz, Skims CEO and more

Substack announced on Thursday that it has raised $100 million in Series C funding led by investors at BOND and The Chernin Group (TCG). The round included participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Rich Paul, CEO and founder of Klutch Sports Group, and Jens Grede, CEO and co-founder of Skims. The New York Times reports that the funding brings Substack's valuation to $1.1 billion, almost 70% higher than its 2021 valuation of $650 million. Founded in 2017, Substack has gained popularity as a platform for creators and publishers to monetize their content. The company said in March that it had surpassed 5 million paid subscriptions on its platform, up from 2 million in 2023. Substack said in a blog post that it will use the funding to invest in 'better tools, broader reach, and deeper support for writers and creators.' It also plans to invest in the Substack app.
