She Was A Baby In Balika Vadhu, And Now She Is Acting With Ajay Devgn In Son Of Sardaar 2
Ajay Devgn is back with a fresh dose of laughter in director Vijay Kumar Arora's Son of Sardaar 2. The film, which is a sequel to Ajay Devgn's 2012 hit Son of Sardaar, hit the silver screens on August 1. The comedy drama also stars Mrunal Thakur in a key role alongside Kubbra Sait, Chunky Pandey, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra. Roshni Walia is a part of the cast as well. If her name doesn't ring a bell, then let us tell you that she was a child artist who appeared in several serials.
Roshni Walia finished her schooling at Ryan International School in Dumas, Surat. She began her career with ad commercials. The 23-year-old made her television debut with the 2012 series Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, which aired on Life Ok. Roshni essayed the character of Jiyana in the show. In the same year, the actress featured in the children's comedy drama, My Friend Ganesha 4.
Roshni Walia's Television Roles
Before working with big stars in Son of Sardaar 2, Roshni Walia impressed viewers with her versatile small-screen roles. She essayed the character of Maitri in the horror thriller Khauff Begins… Ringa Ringa Roses (2013) and Ganga Singh in Balika Vadhu (2008). Do you know she portrayed the role of a young Sati in the popular soap opera Devon Ke Dev Mahadev (2011)?
Roshni Walia, however, rose to fame with the historical drama series Bharat Ka Veer Putra — Maharana Pratap, which aired on Sony TV. She slipped into the shoes of the young Maharani Ajabde Punwar in the serial. Viewers also loved her as Tara Mane in the show Tara From Satara (2019).
Previously, for the promotions of Son of Sardaar 2, Roshni Walia appeared in a Hauterrfly podcast where she opened up on relationships and heartbreak. The actress, in a conversation with the host, said, 'I've never cried. I won't say that crying for four days is a heartbreak. In terms of family? Yes. In terms of feeling abandoned? Yes. But young love? No."
Coming to Son of Sardaar 2, the film marks the return of the beloved Jassi (Ajay Devgn), who pretends to be a war hero to help a couple get married by seeking their families' approval. The movie is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, NR Pachisia and Pravin Talreja.

It's a busy weekend at the theatres with four movies competing against each other at the moment. This is huge. It had made only Rs 4.6 crore on its first Saturday. The total collection of the film so far in all languages, is Rs 67.95 crore. It has performed the best in Hindi language. Meanwhile, as per the same website, 'Son Of Sardaar 2' has made Rs 7.50 crore as per early estimates. 'Dhadak 2' made Rs 3.75 crore on Saturday. Meanwhile, 'Saiyaara' has collected Rs 6.35 crore on its day 16. If the film sees growth on Sunday, it will be able to cross Rs 300 crore or that would happen on Monday. According to Box Office India, Dhadak (2018) earned nearly ₹9 crore nett on its first day, but that's not a fair comparison since it had hugely popular music backing it. Movies like this aren't really about opening-day numbers—they rely more on how they perform in the days that follow. That's very different from a film like Son of Sardaar 2, where a strong day one is absolutely key. But that unfortunately did not happen as there's been low buzz surrounding this Ajay Devgn starrer.
