Tara Sutaria's Rumoured Beau Veer Pahariya Praises Her Song With AP Dhillon, She Reacts
Tara was earlier in a long-term relationship with Aadar Jain, Ranbir Kapoor's cousin, but the two parted ways in 2023.
Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya continue to spark dating rumours, and their latest social media interaction has only added fuel to the fire. On Thursday, Tara dropped her new track Thodi Si Daaru with singer AP Dhillon, and it didn't take long for fans and her rumoured boyfriend to react.
The song, featuring catchy beats and glamorous visuals, has grabbed attention not only for Tara's dazzling presence but also for her steamy chemistry with AP Dhillon. Among the many compliments pouring in was one from Veer Pahariya, who took to Instagram to show his support.
Just hours after the release, Veer shared a snippet from the music video on his Instagram Stories, adding a string of emojis—heart, fire, and heart-eyes—and tagged Tara in the post. While neither Tara nor Veer has officially confirmed their relationship, the internet has been rife with speculation. Rumours began earlier this month when both shared scenic pictures from what appeared to be the same exotic location. Veer was seen lounging on a yacht with a rocky mountain in the background, while Tara posted a snap from the same spot—leading fans to conclude they were vacationing together.
Back in March 2025, Tara and Veer turned showstoppers together at the Lakme Fashion Week, where their chemistry didn't go unnoticed. Since then, they've been spotted out and about, including a quiet dinner date in Bandra in June, where they exited separately but were clearly dining together.
According to a report by Times of India, the duo has been seeing each other for over two months now. A source told the publication that they are still 'trying to figure things out," but there's certainly something brewing.
Tara was earlier in a long-term relationship with Aadar Jain, Ranbir Kapoor's cousin, but the two parted ways in 2023. Post that, she was briefly linked to Arunoday Singh, a rumour she denied. Veer, on the other hand, was once rumoured to be dating Sara Ali Khan before she joined films and was later linked with Manushi Chhillar, though she clarified they were just friends.

Chandra Barot, best known for directing Amitabh Bachchan's Don, passes away at 86
Veteran filmmaker Chandra Barot passed away at the age of 86 following a prolonged battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Best known for directing Amitabh Bachchan's all-time blockbuster Don (1978), which went on to inspire multiple remakes and legacy sequels across various languages, Barot reportedly breathed his last at a hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, on Sunday. Confirming his passing, the filmmaker's wife Deepa Barot told Times of India, 'He had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for the past seven years.' Upon hearing the news, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who helmed the 2006 remake of Don, took to social media to express his grief. 'Saddened to learn that the director of the OG Don is no more. RIP Chandra Barot-ji. Deepest condolences to the family,' he shared along with a photo of the director. Born in Tanzania, Chandra Barot and his family moved to India in 1967 due to racial unrest in East Africa. After working as an assistant director on a few films, he made an enviable debut with Don, written by legendary screenwriting duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar (popularly known as Salim–Javed). Not only was the film a massive commercial success, but it also became one of the most beloved action thrillers in Indian cinema history. Besides helping cement Amitabh Bachchan's status as a superstar, it was also remade across multiple languages, with the biggest stars of the respective industries stepping into the central dual roles. While Don was remade in Telugu as Yugandhar (1979) starring NT Rama Rao (NTR), in Tamil, it became Billa (1980) with Rajinikanth. The film marked a turning point in the Tamil actor's rise to superstardom. The Malayalam version, Shobaraj (1986), featured Mohanlal in the lead role. Years later, Javed Akhtar's son Farhan Akhtar rebooted the film with Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role. Much like the OG version, the remake also became a massive hit, leading to a successful sequel in 2011. A third instalment, Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh, is currently in the works. Billa also inspired its own franchise, with a Telugu remake in 2009 starring Prabhas and Tamil reboots in 2007 and 2012 starring Ajith Kumar. Despite Don's success, Chandra Barot couldn't capitalise on its momentum. He later directed the Bengali films Aashrita (1989) and Pyar Bhara Dil (1991). Several of his other projects, including Boss and Neil Ko Pakadna… Impossible, remained incomplete or unreleased.

Katy Perry escapes major accident after prop malfunctions mid-air during concert, chilling video goes viral
Pop sensation Katy Perry had a close shave during her Lifetimes Tour performance in San Francisco, when a mechanical malfunction caused a giant butterfly prop she was riding to suddenly drop several feet while suspended over the crowd. The video of the incident is grabbing eyeballs on social media. The incident unfolded during her performance of Roar. The viral video shows Perry singing atop the large, winged structure when it unexpectedly tilts forward, sending her slipping from her seat mid-song. The singer momentarily stopped performing as fans below gasped in shock. However, the prop stabilised just in time, preventing a serious accident. Perry then quickly raised her hand to signal she was okay before resuming her performance. Watch the video here: Katy Perry's tour prop malfunctions midair. — Pop Crave (@PopCrave) July 19, 2025 The video quickly gained traction, triggering a conversation around safety of celebrities on stage. 'On the upside the taped song kept on going. Next up they'll replace these 'idols' with robots. It'll be cheaper, more consistent, and no problems with drugs and alcohol use,' a user wrote. 'I'm sorry that's actually so scary, when will artists learn to not use these types of props,' another user commented. 'For someone who blasted off into space I feel that drop was miniscule in comparison,' a third user reacted. Later, Perry addressed the moment on her Instagram Stories, posting a blurry close-up of her expression, captioned, 'Good Night San Fran.' This isn't the first time a high-profile stage prop has caused alarm. Last month, Beyoncé experienced a technical glitch during her Cowboy Carter tour stop in Houston. During her performance of 16 Carriages at NRG Stadium, a flying car prop began to tilt dangerously mid-air, sparking concern among fans. Beyoncé was safely lowered to the stage. She later reassured the crowd with a smile, saying, 'If I ever fall I know y'all would catch me.'

Who is Chandra Barot, the original Don director who passed away at 86?
Veteran filmmaker Chandra Barot, the director of the original 'Don' starring Amitabh Bachchan, has passed away. The movie, initially declared a 'flop,' went on to be a cult classic and is the one Barot was most proud of. 'I made one film, Don, and will always be remembered for it,' the filmmaker had said in an interview in 2006. Years after the original Don was released, Farhan Akhtar remade the iconic film with Shah Rukh Khan in 2006. Following its success, Don 2 was made, and now the third instalment is in the works. Born and raised in Tanzania, Chandra Barot began his professional life working at a bank before moving to India to pursue a career in films under the mentorship of actor-director Manoj Kumar. He started out as an assistant director on several notable films, including Purab Aur Pachhim, Yaadgaar, Shor, and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan. In Purab Aur Pachhim, he worked closely with Manoj Kumar as his assistant. Barot made his mark in Indian cinema by directing the 1978 cult classic Don. Don became a cinematic landmark, eventually evolving into a popular franchise with its legacy in Bollywood. After its success, he went on to direct the Bengali film Aashrita in 1989, which grossed ₹ 3 crore, followed by Pyar Bhara Dil in 1991. 'I started a film with Dilip Kumar called Master, and another with Sarika called Titli. The first wasn't completed, and Sarika went on to marry,' Barot had shared. Like Master and Titli, many of his later projects, including Boss, Neil Ko Pakadna... Impossible, and Hong Kong Wali Script were shelved or never released. Chandra Barot's wife, Deepa, told the Times of India that the veteran director had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for the past seven years and passed away because of it on Sunday, July 20, at the age of 86. He was receiving treatment at Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra.
