Helen Flanagan intimidated as man launches foul-mouthed rant in scary incident
Actress Helen Flanagan has shared a distressing encounter she had on the Tube, where she was subjected to a foul-mouthed rant by a man.
The ex-Coronation Street actress was left shocked when he cruelly accused her of having too much Botox after she confronted him for harassing another woman on the underground. In a video posted on social media, Helen recounted the incident: "I was on the Tube and there was this man sat across from me, and there was this girl about my age, sat across, and I noticed that the man took a picture of this woman on the Tube."
'Anyway, I probably - it's a bit embarrassing for me to say this. I should have said something but I actually felt a bit intimidated by the man, so I just thought, I felt like I couldn't say anything." Anyway the woman next to me was braver than me and she just said, 'excuse me, did you take a picture of that woman? I just saw you take a picture of that woman'."
"And like, he just ignored her and pretended that he couldn't hear her. And then, eventually he was really aggressive, and like, told her to 'eff off' and 'shut the eff up', and oh my God it was awful.'
Helen then courageously intervened to defend the woman – but this led to her being verbally abused by the stranger herself. She continued: "So then obviously, like I'm a real like girls' girl and I just said, 'Don't effing speak to her like that. I saw you, you did take a picture of her. You're lying'."
She continued: "He was really awful and I actually felt really intimidated, and I felt like I couldn't say much to him because I did feel really intimidated by him."
"He said to me, it was like the weirdest thing he could have said, 'You've got so much Botox in your forehead', and I was sat there with an iced coffee, and he was like, 'I'm surprised you can even drink through a straw.'."
The soap star laughed as she added: "To be fair, I am dead soft. I don't get in arguments with people. I was only sticking up for this girl because of course, I would always stick up for other women.
"I didn't know what to say, this sounds tight but, like, he deserves it – he wasn't the most attractive of men. I couldn't say anything to him, so I said, 'I feel sorry for you'. It's not nice as a woman where you actually feel intimidated he was just an absolute idiot."
The devoted mother of three then recounted a past incident that made her feel uneasy while using public transport. Shortly after the birth of her son Charlie, she felt as though a man was filming her while she breastfed on a train. Helen revealed that there were no witnesses to the incident, which prompted her to speak up about what she observed on the Tube this week.
This follows Helen's recent social media outburst about losing her driving licence and various parenting challenges, five months after being disqualified for speeding. The former Coronation Street actress, who in January told the court that her ex-footballer boyfriend Robbie Talbot was behind the wheel of her £66,000 Audi Q7 when it was caught speeding twice, lamented the inconvenience of not having a car and being unable to run errands or shop for necessities due to her remote location.
Despite arguing that she was financially struggling and couldn't afford taxis to take her children to school, Helen was banned from driving for six months. On her Instagram Stories, she explained that her ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) had led her to confuse paperwork needed to reapply for her licence, resulting in further delays.
"I literally can't tell you what a pain in the a*** not having [my driving licence] because I live in the middle of nowhere, and of course I haven't been driving". She continued, "It's just been so b****y annoying, for example we are out of loo roll now and I can't pop out to the shops to get loo roll so my friend has to bring me loo roll".
She also disclosed that she and her former partner Scott Sinclair, with whom she co-parents Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, have resumed 'co-parenting in the same house' despite their acrimonious separation.

Abbey Clancy says ‘your attitude stinks' as she aims ‘chauvinist' jibe at Peter Crouch
Model Abbey Clancy and former footballer Peter Crouch have enjoyed a beachside holiday in recent weeks, but Abbey has been left frustrated by her husband Abbey Clancy says husband Peter Crouch's 'attitude stinks' as she branded him a 'chauvinist'. The couple have recently enjoyed a beachside getaway with their four children. While on their sunshine getaway the pair have been spotted putting on loved-up displays and enjoying a spot of tennis together. Peter has also found time to enjoy a spot of time alone with pals. On their The Therapy Crouch podcast, Abbey told listeners that the former England footballer has been playing padel and hitting the golf course while away. It has left Abbey taking their children to family activities together. She said: 'It's been so nice being with the kids and going down to the beach in the evening. Me in the waterparks and Pete's on the golf course for his male bonding sessions that he all of a sudden needs.' Ex-Liverpool striker Peter, 44, however explained he also spent time with their children. He replied 'Having said that, I've done a lot with the kids as well. I've minded those kids.' Abbey, 39, shot back at her husband with a sharp jibe. She said: 'Your attitude is absolutely stinking lately. You're turning into a chauvinist.' Peter however explained he believes it is important to 'bond with other males'. He responded: 'I don't know why you think I'm a male chauvinist, just because I said to you once that it's nice sometimes for a male to bond with other males without his family. I don't think that's a bad thing.' Model Abbey however took 'major offence' that Peter was opting to spend time with friends instead of with his family. The retired footballer replied: 'You shouldn't. I don't think you should. You speak to your friends everyday.' Peter and Abbey first crossed paths in Liverpool in 2005. Reflecting on their initial encounter during a Good Morning Britain appearance, Abbey revealed: "When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, 'How dare you?'" Peter subsequently insisted he was "just talking" to the other woman, but Abbey demanded her number back. He continued: "I said, 'You can't give someone your number and then take it back'." Despite the rocky start, their romance flourished and the pair exchanged vows on June 30, 2011. According to OK!, the family reside in a "magical" Surrey mansion featuring its own cinema room and expansive garden. The impressive property frequently appears across Abbey's social media accounts. Followers have caught sight of Peter at work behind his substantial wooden desk, adorned with football trophies, alongside moments enjoying the home's outdoor swimming pool and timber play zone. They reportedly relocated to the spectacular residence in 2016.

The One Show's Alex Jones had 'no idea' about the complaints made against Jermaine Jenas
The One Show presenter Alex Jones said she had 'no idea' about the complaints made against her former co-host Jermaine Jenas The One Show presenter Alex Jones said she had 'no idea' about the complaints made against her former co-host Jermaine Jenas. The former footballer, 42, who presented alongside Alex on the programme for four years, was dismissed from the BBC last August due to improper conduct. Former Match of the Day star Jermaine admitted to sending lewd messages to two former colleagues at the BBC. In addition to losing his BBC role, the former England midfielder saw his representation with a talent agency terminated. His 14-year marriage to Ellie Penfold also ended as their separation was publicly acknowledged in March. In a new interview, Welsh presenter Alex revealed she didn't know anything about the complaints until Jermaine left the corporation. The 48-year-old said: "I very much take people on face value. But with JJ [Jenas] I didn't know what was going on. I had no idea. I thought he was taking extended leave. 'The BBC didn't share with me what was going on until they actually dealt with it. And, you know, they did what they thought was right. 'If that was my daughter and she felt uncomfortable with someone's behaviour, I hope that whatever company she was working for would deal with it swiftly as well.' Jermaine recently appeared on The Dressing Room Podcast with ex-Chelsea players Carlton Cole, Joe Cole and Wayne Bridge and compared the worlds of football and television. He spoke candidly about the cutthroat nature of the television industry, revealing that gossiping and backstabbing are commonplace. The star claimed that he experienced this firsthand during his time on The One Show, where he worked with various stand-in presenters. "Television is not like [football], they just talk behind your back," he revealed (via Wales Online). "Everybody in television would just lie to your face. When I was a main presenter on the show, sometimes when Alex Jones wouldn't be working because she was having children at the time, I was working with various female presenters. "We'd come off air and they'd go, 'Oh did you like her JJ', I'm like, 'Yeah she's really good, it's her first time, she's done really well.' And then I'd just see them talking c*** about them going, 'Yeah she's not coming back.'" After being sacked from the BBC, he apologised and said he had done 'nothing illegal' and that 'inappropriate messages' sent were 'between two consenting adults'. Months later, Jenas' wife, Ellie Penfold, announced the couple had split up after 16 years together. She said on Instagram: "I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it's necessary. 'After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways. We will remain friends and continue to co-parent.' The full interview with Alex Jones can be read in this week's Big Issue, on sale now.
