Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark will cover Sports Illustrated for the first time with the release of the magazine's June 2025 WNBA preview issue.
Sports Illustrated confirmed to cllct Thursday the issue is the first print cover for Clark, who has previously appeared on digital covers for the publication.

For the magazine's 'Fever Dream' cover, Clark appears alongside teammates Aliyah Boston, DeWanna Bonner and Kelsey Mitchell.
Inside, the magazine features a dive into the Fever's rapid rebuild around Clark and its improved roster beyond the former No. 1 overall pick.
In a video shared to the team's social media channels Thursday, the Fever surprised the cover athletes with a first look at the magazine.
'That is fire,' Clark says during the reveal. 'Just beautiful. Beautiful work of art. I love it. That's sick.'
The cover stands as a key moment for Clark and her collectibles market, with magazine covers from publications such as Sports Illustrated rapidly growing in popularity in recent years.

Though the cover is Clark's first for SI, the Fever guard has appeared on multiple covers of SLAM. Clark also covered TIME when she was named the publication's Athlete of the Year for 2024.
Clark's first SLAM cover came in 2024, with a pull-out poster included in issue No. 249. That magazine, which featured Clark as an Iowa Hawkeye, has been graded by CGC more than 250 times.
A 9.9 example of the magazine, which is the highest in CGC's census, is set to sell at Goldin later this month.
Sports Illustrated covers, especially first appearances for key athletes and iconic photographs, have long been coveted among collectors.

To date, the record for any single Sports Illustrated issue is the $126,000 paid at Heritage in 2023 for a CGC 9.8 example of Michael Jordan's 1984 'A Star is Born' cover, which featured Jordan on the magazine for the first time as a professional.
Earlier this year, a collection of every Sports Illustrated issue from its debut in 1954 through 2023 sold for $158,600 at Heritage.
Clark's cover is the second for a WNBA star in recent months after Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese covered the magazine's '50 Most Influential Figures in Sports' issue in October 2024.
That cover was the second for Reese with Sports Illustrated following an appearance on the publication's 'Money Issue' in October 2023, which covered the new era of NIL.

Who is the screaming Fever fan disrupting home game broadcasts?
If you've been watching Indiana Fever home games this season, you might have noticed a "distinct voice" interrupting the live broadcasts. The alleged screaming voice has gotten so pronounced that a fan petition has started circulating for the Fever to do something about this on the game's audio mix. "During every Fever home game, a distinct and persistent voice—believed to be from a fan seated close to the scorer's table—can be heard loudly and frequently throughout the entire game," petitioner Josh McNattin wrote in response to the alleged noise. "While we celebrate the passion of all fans, this particular sound consistently overpowers other audio elements, including the commentary and ambient crowd noise. As a result, it can detract from the viewing experience for many fans watching from home or streaming online." Of course, noisy fans becoming routine parts of broadcasts are nothing new. The Vandy Whistler has been torturing visiting teams (and their fans) for years. While no one can be sure who exactly is the fan screaming so loudly on the game broadcasts that it has sparked numerous Reddit theories. Perhaps this screaming voice will taper out as time goes on — or once word of the petition gets back to them. Or maybe, hopefully, the broadcast will get better at blocking it out for viewers at home.

Clark dished out 10 assists in the loss, but she also turned the ball over eight times. Advertisement That's now back-to-back losses for the Fever, who have fallen to 6-7 after this defeat. A Caitlin Clark Comment on Sophie Cunningham is Trending
A Caitlin Clark Comment on Sophie Cunningham is Trending originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Caitlin Clark missed her second straight game for the Indiana Fever on Friday night. The 23-year-old is still nursing a groin injury that forced her to sit out the highly anticipated matchup against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. Advertisement The Fever, however, were still able to take care of business despite the absence of their superstar guard. Kelsey Mitchell stepped up in a major way, dropping a game-high 32 points on 11-of-17 shooting, seven assists and four triples in 34 minutes of action. Thanks in large part to Mitchell's heroics, the Fever were able to secure a 94-86 win to improve to 8-8 on the season. Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell stepped up big time in the game against the Dallas Wings. Grace Hollars-USA TODAY Network via Imagn Images Sophie Cunningham also played a significant role in head coach Stephanie White's eight-woman rotation against Dallas. The veteran guard logged 24 minutes off the bench for five points, four rebounds and one triple. After the win, Cunningham took to Instagram to share some of her favorite photos and videos from the past couple of weeks. As it turns out, some of the snaps appear to have come courtesy of Clark. Clark did not waste any time jumping into the comments section of her teammate's post. Advertisement "Some of my flics made it huge," Clark wrote. It seems that the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year is taking credit for some of the photos Cunningham posted. Clark has taken an interest in photography, which is an unofficial role she took for the team during her recent five-game injury spell in May. The fans took the opportunity to send their own messages to Clark as they reacted to her comment. "get well soon, CC!!" a comment on Instagram read. "love you CC, get well soon!! ❤️" said another. "Y'all thé best duo I've seen. Love you always CC thanks for getting me into watching sports," a fan wrote. "can you do a TikTok please!! We love you so much ❤️" a reaction read. Advertisement "we all love you goat 🤝🏼" another said. "I MISS U QUEEN," a user posted. The Fever are back in action on Tuesday in the Commissioner's Cup championship game against the Minnesota Lynx. Clark appears to have a talent behind the camera, but there's no denying that Indiana would much rather have her on the court. At this point, however, Clark's status for that winner-take-all matchup remains up in the air.
