The choirs will sing the song at their weekly rehearsals
Members of more than 20 community choirs will mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a rendition of Dame Vera Lynn's wartime classic The White Cliffs of Dover.
Buskerteers Choirs will perform the song at rehearsals including in Haywards Heath, Ipswich, Crawley and Brighton.
Footage from across the south and east of England will be compiled into montages, to be shared by the choirs.
The campaign is raising money for the Royal British Legion, supporting veterans and their families.

Founder Andrew Small says the choir is "incredibly proud" to be marking the anniversary with the song which he says "so beautifully captures the spirit of hope during wartime".
He said: "As we aim to raise £1,000 for the Royal British Legion, we do so in heartfelt remembrance of those who made immense sacrifices for our freedom.
"It's more important than ever that we come together to honour their legacy and ensure their stories are never forgotten."
The song was one of several of Dame Vera Lynn's which helped raise morale during World War Two.
VE Day marked the end of World War Two in Europe when huge crowds took to the streets on 8 May 1945 to sing, dance and rejoice after nearly six years of war.
The Buskerteers Choir includes 28 community choirs which are open to everyone and they aim to raise £1m for charity through busking and performance.
Videos will also feature choirs in Chelmsford, Cambridge, the New Forest, Bury St Edmunds and Bournemouth among others.

Roxy Horner flaunts her figure in a red polka dot dress as she joins Lottie Moss, pregnant Georgia Harrison and Ella Morgan at the White Fox Heatwave party in London

Roxy Horner, Lottie Moss, Georgia Harrison and Ella Morgan were amongst those that led the glitz and glamour at tonight's White Fox Heatwave party in London. The girls stepped out in full force as they arrived at the event for a night full of summer festivities. Turning heads in their outfits, others who also arrived include Love Island's Molly Smith and Tom Clare, as well as Gabby Allen and Demi Jones. Roxy showed off her supermodel figure in a red and white spotty polka dot maxi dress, which she paired with pink heels and matching sunglasses. She was in good spirits as she arrived at the party, flashing a smile. Reality star Georgia, 30, who is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Jack Stacey, showed off her growing bump in a top and low-waisted jeans at the event. Meanwhile Lottie Moss - Kate Moss' younger half-sister - was seen in a stylish sequinned leopard print number, which commanded attention. Her toned legs were on full show in the minidress, with Lottie, 27, keeping a low-key appearance with dark shades on as she made her arrival. Married At First Sight star Ella wore a neon yellow strappy cut-out dress, which showed off her supermodel figure. She looked ecstatic to be there as she turned heads upon her entrance. Love Island's Molly and Tom put on a loved-up display as they arrived to the lavish bash hand-in-hand. It comes after heavily pregnant Georgia took to her Instagram in recent months to share a cute bikini-clad first-trimester video taken before her first scan. The clip began with Georgia looking sensational in a stylish baby blue bikini and white lace beach trousers as she enjoyed a day at the beach. She then unbuttoned her trousers and cradled her tummy while lip-syncing to the popular TikTok audio: 'Are you real? I dunno, you seem a little sus.' She cheekily captioned the video: 'Me before I had my first ultrasound.' The star recently revealed she has a 'whole new drive' to change the world for the better - just weeks after announcing she is expecting her first child. The reality TV star explained in a new interview that she wants to make the world a better environment for her unborn baby to grow up in by continuing her campaigning on the issue of revenge porn. Georgia told OK! Magazine: 'I initially thought of my little sisters and brother when I was campaigning – hoping to make things different for them. 'Now, I have this whole new drive – I want the world to be a better place because I'm bringing my own child into it.' Georgia first found fame on reality series TOWIE in 2014 but her following grew thanks to her 2017 appearance on Love Island. The TV star, who's also appeared on The Challenge and Celebrity: SAS Who Dares Wins, returned to the dating series this year for Love Island: All Stars, where she made the final. Georgia met Jack, 33, on a dating app last summer and described her pregnancy as a 'beautiful surprise'. Georgia said: 'We both definitely wanted children, but we didn't quite plan on it this soon, we might've tried to have a fun summer beforehand! But once we'd taken it in, we realised this was the right time. The star added that it's 'amazing to have the gift of being pregnant', as so many people struggle for a long time and for some, the dream never comes true.

Gregg Wallace: BBC faces dilemma over new series of MasterChef

Gregg Wallace may have been sacked as MasterChef presenter after allegations of misconduct, but for the BBC there's still a decision to be made over this year's is widely reported to have been filmed in 2024 - with Wallace in it - before BBC News first revealed the allegations against BBC, for its part, is staying tight-lipped about what it will corporation has said it won't comment until an inquiry into the allegations, ordered by MasterChef's production company Banijay, is complete and the findings are has apologised for using "inappropriate" language, but has said the report will clear him of "the most serious and sensational allegations". 'Tough decision' The BBC will face an "extremely tough decision" about what to do with the unseen series, according to Max Goldbart, international TV editor at Deadline."They're damned if they do show it, and damned if they don't," he says. "There are lots of competing objectives they'll be thinking about, and those conversations will be happening right now."On the one hand, the BBC could go ahead and broadcast it as planned. But this week, BBC News reported that 50 more people have come forward with fresh allegations of inappropriate comments, touching and groping - which Wallace denies. BBC News is editorially independent of the wider of what the Banijay report concludes, Goldbart says it would be "very awkward" for the latest series to be beamed into people's living rooms for weeks on end. Gregg Wallace sacked as 50 more people make claimsGregg Wallace warned not to 'say women made it up'Gregg Wallace faces backlash over autism defence "There could be a backlash," he says. "Not to mention how upsetting that might be for the women who've come forward with claims about him."One former MasterChef worker, who says Wallace pulled his trousers down in front of her, tells me it would show "a real lack of respect" to people like her if the series was who says he planted a kiss on her forehead, says she would feel "disappointed and let down", and as if her experiences were being shelving the cooking show is not an easy decision either - and not only because it could cause uproar among the production crew, who spent many weeks working on it, it is a waste of their time and efforts. And for the chefs who have taken part in it the latest amateur series, it would clearly also be deeply Tzortzoglou, who won the 2019 competition, tells me that for her, the experience was "life-changing".She has gone on to judge awards, host retreats, and work as an olive oil sommelier, and says she is busier now than ever."I can't imagine what it would be like for people who've waited all this time, biting their nails, only to be told that no-one is going to see your achievements, your stresses, your growth. It would be awful." iPlayer option Thomasina Miers, who won the first series of MasterChef in 2005 and went on to co-found the Wahaca chain of Mexican restaurants, echoes her views."[Being on MasterChef] was great, it got me working in food, and I haven't looked back," she says. "It would be mad if they don't show it. It's a lot expecting people to turn up every day, give up their lives and income and not get paid, for it not to go out."A third option could be to put it on BBC iPlayer so it's available for MasterChef fans to opt in to stream, but isn't being actively pushed out on primetime broadcasters have done similar things 2021, ITV decided to pull the final episode of drama Viewpoint after allegations of sexual harassment were made in The Guardian against its star, Noel denies the allegations and is awaiting the result of his libel case against The finale of Viewpoint was made available on the broadcaster's streaming service for a limited time, for any viewers who wished to seek it says he can see the appeal of the iPlayer option."It's a lot easier to bury stuff on on-demand than on linear TV," he says, although he points out that there might be financial Dorothy Byrne, former head of news and current affairs at Channel 4, says even that option presents challenges."If they think the person's unacceptable, then I can't see how putting it on iPlayer gets around that issue," she tells me. "I would say on balance they can't show it at all, but I hope there's a way they can ensure all those people who took part in it don't lose out on this opportunity, because I really feel sorry for them."Perhaps there is a way they could edit him out in a way that still allows it to be shown." The BBC found itself in a similar predicament in November, when the allegations against Wallace first the time, the corporation made the decision to pull the Christmas specials of MasterChef, although the most recent series of MasterChef: The Professionals did continue to air."MasterChef is life-changing for the chefs that take part and the show is about more than one individual," a BBC source said at the difference this time is that we're not halfway through a series - and that makes the decision even no-one seems to be questioning, though, is the long-term future of the this week, Banijay held a dinner for journalists and media industry timing of the event, just hours after Wallace dropped a lengthy statement in advance of the Banijay report, was no doubt uncomfortable (one of the people there describes it to me as akin to 'a wedding where the bride or groom had done a runner').But that same person tells me Banijay executives spoke about MasterChef and its new base in Birmingham, demonstrating their commitment to the Birmingham move was announced a few years ago, the BBC renewed the show through to food critic Grace Dent has already stepped in to host the next series of Celebrity MasterChef, indicating that version is also continuing."It's not one of those shows which is defined by its presenter," Goldbart says. "I personally feel it can continue. John Torode is very good, Grace Dent has filled in a lot, and it's one of those rare beasts where the viewing figures on linear [TV] have held up."But for the current series, a decision will need to be taken soon."They'll need to make an announcement when the report comes back for the sake of the wonderful people who took part," says Byrne."This isn't one of those things where you can endlessly delay."
