Kireeti Reddy, Sreeleela's ‘Viral Vayyari' from ‘Junior' sets social media ablaze

Rising star Kireeti Reddy, son of noted politician and businessman Gali Janardhan Reddy, is all set to make his silver screen debut with the youthful entertainer Junior. Directed by Radha Krishna and produced by Rajani Korrapati under the prestigious Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner, the film is scheduled for a grand release on July 18. With the date fast approaching, the makers have intensified promotional efforts—and leading the charge is the film's latest sensation: the second single Viral Vayyari.
While many films boast viral songs, Junior goes a step further by making its leading lady, Sreeleela, the talk of the town. Touted as the year's ultimate dance anthem, Viral Vayyari combines pulsating beats by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) with energetic vocals by DSP and Haripriya. The song is further elevated by Kalyan Chakravarthy's youth-driven lyrics, peppered with catchy social media slang and quirky phrases that strike a chord with Gen Z.
The music video, shot on vibrant and colorful sets, features Kireeti and Sreeleela in high-octane dance sequences choreographed to perfection. While Kireeti impresses with his finesse and screen presence, it's Sreeleela's effortless grace, dazzling expressions, and magnetic charisma that make her the star of the track. The chemistry between the duo and their foot-tapping performance has made the video an instant favourite across platforms.
Junior boasts a strong technical team, with KK Senthil Kumar handling cinematography and Raveendar overseeing production design. Peter Hein choreographs the action sequences, ensuring high-octane stunts, while Niranjan Devaramane takes charge of editing. Dialogue writer Kalyan Chakravarthy Tripuraneni contributes sharp, youth-centric lines that enhance the film's appeal.
With a mix of energy, entertainment, and a promising debut, Junior is shaping up to be a lively summer treat for the youth. All eyes are now on July 18th, when Kireeti Reddy will make his much-awaited entry into Tollywood.

Ad review: Fast fashion, slower thinking: Myntra's mugshot ad is all dressed up with no insight

Myntra's new M-Now campaign, created by DDB Mudra India, wants you to believe that even being arrested can be a beauty emergency. In one of the ad films, two women (played by influencers Ayesha Kanga and Sakshi Shivdasani) find themselves at a police station, bare-faced and on the verge of a mugshot. Their solution? Order makeup in a panic—lipstick, bronzer, eyeliner—using Myntra's 30-minute express delivery service. It's meant to be quirky. Instead, it's clueless. Let's start with the obvious: turning police custody into a punchline to sell concealer is both tone-deaf and wildly unfunny. In a country where women's interactions with law enforcement are often fraught with fear and power imbalance, this feels like a complete misread of the room. Worse, the joke hinges on a tired, sexist trope that women care more about their looks than literally anything else, including legal trouble. This isn't just lazy writing. It's the kind of creative that insists it's 'just harmless fun" while quietly insulting the intelligence of half its audience. What's particularly ironic is that the campaign's premise—solving fashion emergencies with fast delivery—has real potential. A surprise date? An unplanned office Zoom? A last-minute wedding invite? Sure. But custody? Really? That's your idea of 'relatable chaos"? To be fair, Myntra has a bit of history when it comes to getting gender sensitivity wrong. Back in 2021, it quietly redesigned its logo after a complaint claimed it resembled a woman in a sexually suggestive pose. The brand folded quickly, but the episode showed what happens when a company neither stands by its creative nor takes a real stand on representation. This time, it's not a logo—it's a storyline. But the result is the same: a missed opportunity dressed up in slick production. Brands love to talk about female empowerment, Gen Z resonance, and storytelling with purpose. This ad checks none of those boxes. It's the kind of creative that makes you wonder if anyone in the room asked the one basic question: 'Wait... should we be doing this?" Myntra's delivery may be fast, but clearly, the thinking needed a little more time.

Indian Gen Zs Are Throwing Fake Weddings For Fun, Here's All About This OTT Party Trend

Last Updated: The Gen Z has moved away from the done and overdone cliche club nights. The hottest party trend they have started instead is a fake wedding party. Forget club nights and sundowner parties – the Gen Z in India has a knack for doing 'hatke' things, and this latest party trend is yet another proof. Gen Z has found a new way to party, and it's as extra as it is oddly wholesome. Welcome to the era of fake weddings. It's the newest trend where groups of friends throw a full-blown shaadi celebration, minus the actual bride and groom. What started as a quirky trend abroad has now found its glittering Indian avatar. Think: mandap setups, baraat-style entries, choreographed sangeet performances, wedding invites, a fake pandit, and yes, even a dhol wala for dramatic effect. At the heart of it is a simple idea: everyone loves the joy of Indian weddings, so why wait for someone to get married? A Wedding Without the Drama For Gen Z, who grew up watching grand Bollywood weddings and endless shaadi reels on Instagram, the fake wedding trend offers a chance to celebrate without the stress, family politics, or actual lifelong commitment. The idea is to dress up in your lehengas and sherwanis, dance your heart out, toast to love, and party like it's your own wedding (just without the future in-laws). What Is The Vibe? Fake weddings are over-the-top, deeply ironic, and designed for the 'Gram. You'll spot hashtags like #NotActuallyMarried and #ShaadiForTheVibe under Reels showing everything from haldi moments in Airbnb gardens to full buffet spreads featuring chaat counters and mocktails. What started as a fun party trend among Gen Z has now found many takers. Event management companies and even bars are hosting fake wedding parties with paid entry and food. In a world where traditional milestones are being delayed or redefined, this trend gives young people a way to embrace celebration on their own terms. It's campy, chaotic, and community-driven: exactly what Gen Z does best. So, if you see someone in a sherwani doing bhangra at a farmhouse on the outskirts of your city or in a bar with no actual bride in sight, don't be confused. It's probably just another Saturday night in Gen Z style. First Published: July 06, 2025, 17:50 IST
