Madikeri: DC Venkat Raja, who is also the chairman of the Regional Transport Authority, issued a ban order on the entry of heavy vehicles to Kodagu district from July 6 to Aug 5. However, heavy vehicles supplying cooking gas, fuel, milk, and other essential commodities are exempted from the ban. They have also been directed to conduct patrolling to ensure that the order is not violated and to take action against those who violate the order as per the rules.
