Pulp on track to claim first number one album in 27 years
The last time the Sheffield-based group topped the UK album charts was in 1998 with This Is Hardcore, which followed on from their best-known album, Different Class, which was released three years prior and is their only other chart-topping LP.
The band are playing a number of gigs throughout the summer, including sets at Montreux Jazz Festival in July and Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival in August.
The veteran rockers have a gap in their schedule between June 21 and July 10, which has fuelled speculation that they could be among the secret acts currently listed as 'TBA' in the line-up for Glastonbury Festival, which is taking place later this month.
Elsewhere in the album charts, UK rapper Little Simz could land her personal best if her latest offering, Lotus, scores the number two spot.
The London-born artist has had three of her albums chart in the UK, including Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, which peaked at number four and earned her the Mercury Prize in 2022.
Addison Rae's mononymously named debut album is looking to enter the charts with her first ever top five.
The TikTok star broke into the music scene in the past few years, with her most recent song, Fame Is A Gun, looking to make it into the top 20 singles charts while her album Addison is predicted to debut at number three.
Welsh singer-songwriter Marina, whose real name is Marina Diamandis and is known by her former stage name, Marina and the Diamonds, is expected to reach number four in the album charts with Princess Of Power.
My Chemical Romance could also rejoin the charts with Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge Deluxe Edition, more than 20 years after the album was first released.
The second studio LP from the rock band previously peaked at number 34 in 2004, with the new release including 2025 remixes and bonus live tracks.

The pair were also spotted wandering through the back streets of Rome — with Harry carrying a bottle of wine. A source said: 'Harry loves nothing more than showing people his favourite spots in Italy. 'He also loves art and Kim has been a great source of inspiration.' Kim, who grew up in Antwerp, Belgium, has shared pictures on her Instagram of The Loggia Of Cupid And Psyche — a mural depicting a love affair — at the Villa Farnesina in Rome. She also posted snaps of red peppers drying on a rooftop in Ravello on Italy's Amalfi Coast. It comes as Harry is rumoured to have fallen in love with the small Italian village of Civita di Bagnoregio. The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker spent the pandemic learning Italian and sign language. During his final Love On Tour show in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 2023, Harry thanked 120,000 fans in Italian. Speaking in their language, he said: 'The last two years of my life have been a wonderful gift and it is truly very special to end my tour here, in a country that has a special place in my heart.' Harry Styles' mystery woman revealed after Glastonbury snog - and she's VERY different to the women he's dated before In June, the singer was seen sharing a passionate kiss with producer Ella Kenny at Glastonbury Festival. It came after his relationship with actress Taylor Russell ended in May last year. He was seen kissing model Emily Ratajkowski on a night out in 2023 and has previously dated model Kendall Jenner, singer Taylor Swift and actress Olivia Wilde. HEIDI READY FOR SUGA HIT ON TV 8 Heidi Range will recount her days in the pop group Sugababes Credit: Getty HEIDI RANGE is set to lift the lid on her tumultuous time in the Sugababes in explosive BBC documentary Girlbands Forever. The singer will sit down with interviewer Louis Theroux to recount her days in the pop group, which has had six members over the years, including the original (and current) line-up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, as well as former members Jade Ewen and Amelle Berrabah. A source close to the project, which follows last year's Boybands Forever, said: 'Heidi has never spoken about what went on. 'Louis reached out to her directly and she finally agreed to take part a couple of weeks ago. It was an emotional interview and one that viewers will want to watch.' Last year, the Sugababes were handed a gong at the Mobo Awards, but Heidi's mum hit out after her daughter was 'white-washed' from the nomination video. She wrote on Instagram: 'I can't believe the cheek of it. Sugababes didn't have a hit till Heidi joined. It is so false and disrespectful the way they are carrying on.' Mutya hit back: 'When I wasn't in the group and the girls was doing big things without me, do you think I was getting upset about not being mentioned?' A spokesman for the original trio declined to comment. Forget the Suga – things might be about to turn very sour again. GENT IS IN LOVE 8 Tom Rhys Harries and songwriter Amy Allen Credit: Getty THE Gentlemen actor Tom Rhys Harries has just landed the starring role in DC Studios' Clayface, the villain and ally of Batman. Earlier this year, Amy scooped the Grammy Award for Songwriter Of The Year – the first woman to win the gong since its introduction in 2023. PUB JOB FOR SAM BEFORE rising to fame on Eurovision in 2022, Sam Ryder started out singing in boozers – and now he has been appointed Head of Gigs for Greene King Pubs to help support up-and-coming artists. Sam, who dropped new single The Feeling Never Went Away from his upcoming album Heartland on Friday, said: 'Pubs provided a place for me to actually learn how to play in front of people. 'Before the pub stage, you just played guitar in your bedroom as loud as it could go. 'At pubs, you got the chance to hone your craft and learn different songs, create a little catalogue, get the expertise of actually playing in front of people.' I couldn't agree more, Sam. Tell us: have you seen live music with your family recently?
Ahead of Oasis's reunion shows this year, you could certainly have expected to tick a lot of sights off your bingo card: bucket hats? Check. Wall-to-wall Adidas? Present and correct. Enough lager consumption to fill the Thames? Naturally. Perhaps less anticipated was the prevalence of families at these shows: multigenerational groups spanning from excited kids seeing their first big gigs to aunts, uncles and grandparents who could remember seeing the band back in the 90s. On the first night in Cardiff, one woman told us about attending a show in the city 31 years ago while she was pregnant with her son, now bringing along his own young daughter; another boy was celebrating his 10th birthday there with his dad, who saw the band with his own father when he was a teenager. There have been similar scenes at Pulp's big shows: when they performed to a hometown crowd at Sheffield's Tramlines last week, there was a noteworthy amount of kids word-perfect on their hits (including, entertainingly, Sorted for E's and Wizz). So, we'd like to know: have you been on any mass family outings to see live music recently? Who did you see and how did it go? What memories did the shows stir up? What was the significance of seeing them all together? And what did the kids think? You can share your experience of seeing live music with family using this form. Man's terrifying discovery after setting up camera to work out why food was going missing
An actor was living with his girlfriend in New York City when he noticed that his food was going missing - so he set up a hidden camera in the kitchen to catch the culprit New York-based actor Joe Cummings was living with his girlfriend when he noticed something strange - his food kept disappearing. Sure he wasn't imagining things, he initially suspected his girlfriend was sneaking late-night snacks. But when she denied it, Joe decided to get to the bottom of the mystery by installing a hidden camera in the kitchen. It comes after a woman claimed 'My friend is naming her baby after a fish – she can't see how ugly it is'. What he discovered was far more disturbing than he ever expected. Rather than catching his girlfriend red-handed, the footage revealed something straight out of a horror film: a woman he didn't recognise slowly emerging from a storage loft above the kitchen in the dead of night. She climbed down onto a table, used the kitchen sink as a toilet, drank from the fridge, and helped herself to food from the pantry. At one point in the footage, shared on YouTube, Joe himself walks into the kitchen, unaware of the intruder silently hiding just out of view. After reviewing the shocking clip in 2009, Joe immediately left the apartment and called the police. When officers arrived, they found the woman still hiding in the loft. According to Joe, she had set up a makeshift sleeping area with a blanket in the crawl space, which extended surprisingly deep into the building's structure and had no ventilation. 'The police officers thought she had been living there for at least a couple of weeks,' Joe later explained. 'I had no idea who she was. She didn't say much when the cops came and took her out.' Joe speculated that the woman may have entered through a fire escape window and decided to stay, possibly after initially breaking in to rob the place. Police added that this wasn't the first time they had encountered a squatter living secretly in someone's home. Ultimately, Joe chose not to press charges, saying he 'felt bad' for the woman, describing her behaviour as almost 'feral.' The unsettling footage was later uploaded to YouTube, where it quickly went viral - unnerving millions of viewers around the world.
