Fantastic Four final trailer gives first ominous look at Galactus's appearance

Time of India3 days ago

The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the highly anticipated debut foray of Marvel's first family into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, released its final trailer on June 25, and teased the appearance of the formidable main villain, Galactus, for the very first time.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps was originally announced back in April 4, 2024, with a viral marketing campaign that doubled as a promotional tie-in to the Marvel Unlimited subscription service.
The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been steadily drip-feeding trailers and previews ever since the release of the first teaser trailer on February 4, 2025. Now, with Galactus finally asserting himself in today's final trailer, the stakes of the film's conflict couldn't be clearer.

The story of Galactus stretches back all the way to the original Fantastic Four comics created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby during Marvel's Silver Age era. The Fantastic Four had been going steady for around five years when 1966's issues 48 to 50 brought about the Galactus trilogy.
The Galactus trilogy introduced both the eponymous Galactus, and his herald, the Silver Surfer. When the skies above the earth are set aflame, Reed Richards secludes himself to assess the situation, only to encounter the Watcher, a powerful cosmic being who reveals that he'd been concealing the Earth's existence from the Silver Surfer and his master, the planet-devouring Galactus.
The storyline was a high-stakes cosmic conflict, far more ambitious than anything Lee and Kirby had attempted before. The ambition paid off, as the Galactus story arc remains among the most acclaimed and memorable plotlines in the Fantastic Four comics.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps harkens back to many of the comic's moments
The various trailers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps have harkened back to many iconic scenes originally shown in the Galactus trilogy. From the skies being set ablaze, to the Silver Surfer (this time a female played by Julia Garner) announcing her master's arrival, the film wears its comic-book inspirations on its sleeve. Only time will tell what unique spin the film will give to Lee and Kirby's seminal storyline.

5 Amazing games that are leaving the PS+ Catalogue very soon

Image via Sony The situation with the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue is that it will always change, and new games will appear on it, and some games could be secretly taken away. As much as new additions are ever interesting, it is difficult to lose some great games. This month, there are a number of notable games due to be removed from the PS+ club, and in case you have not yet played these games, do it before it is too late. Whether it be emotional journeys through life or crazed weapons-blazing missions in open worlds, these five games are a special experience, and as they say, time is fleeting, so this list will not last long. Must-play PS+ Games leaving the catalogue soon PlayStation Plus: Catalog Games Leaving Explained Here are five incredible games leaving PS+ soon that are worth your time. 1. Inscryption More than a card game, Inscryption is a wild blend of strategy, escape from puzzles, and psychological horror. It switches the plot all the time, dragging you even further into its distorted world. If you are in search of something new and really head-scratching, then you better not miss it, or it will be gone. 2. Ghostwire: Tokyo Set up in a beautifully haunted version of Tokyo, this action-adventure blends supernatural combat with atmospheric exploration. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Spectacular Cirque Charity GCE Read More Undo You will cast spells, fight ghosts, and solve mysteries based on Japanese folktales. It looks cool and spooky, and none of the other content on the platform can be compared to it. 3. Tchia Tchia is an emotional open-world adventure with a touch of soul-jumping, island exploring, and music influenced by the culture and landscapes of New Caledonia. It looks colorful, peaceful, and adorable, a pure feel-good game that will stand out among them all. 4. Far Cry 5 When it comes to chaotic shootouts, Ubisoft's popular open world, and explosives, all shot in a better-than-usual way to deal with them, then Far Cry 5 is everything you could ask for. The game unfolds in a cult-run American countryside and is full of action and unforgettable characters. It is one of the old-fashioned games in the series, but it still manages to be good nowadays. 5. Marvel's Avengers Although its multiplayer features are no longer supported, Marvel Avengers combines a good single-player campaign and dramatic moments of being a hero. With Iron Man flying around and Thor going thunderous, there is a good deal of action here to satisfy the Marvel audience; just make sure to get it before it disappears. The five games are as varied in both genre and gameplay experience as they are in name, and their loss in the PS+ Game Catalogue is significant in that it signifies the end of a good era. Make sure to download and play them as long as you can, because once they disappear, these incredible games may never pop up ever again. Now, a new report from YouTuber Dylbobz points to what's coming next. In a recent video, the content creator shared that promotional materials distributed to influencers may have revealed details about Season 3—highlighting Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix, as the next character joining the fight. Until they do, fans should consider it speculation—but its already causing excitement ahead of what is expected to be launched in Season 3 next month.

'Trying to do better' – How a dialogue from Spider-Man movie became India U-19 wicketkeeper Harvansh's mantra

Harvansh Singh scored 103 off 52 balls against England's U19 team. (Instagram) Harvansh Singh Pangalia's Instagram bio reads - "Trying to do better." A self-confessed Marvel fan, Harvansh takes inspiration from Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 2, a 2004 movie where Peter Parker first meets the brilliant Otto Octavius. The scientist says, "You're Dr. Connor's student. He tells me you're brilliant. He also tells me you're lazy." Peter's response is as simple as it is necessary: 'Trying to do better. The answer gives me goosebumps," Harvansh told from Hove. Spotted in Leeds! Indian Cricket Team Hits the Streets Ahead of 1st Test vs England In the practice match against Young Lions Invitational XI, the 18-year-old showcased his explosive batting prowess with a whirlwind century. Walking in at 251/7, he smashed a rapid 100 off just 52 balls, including nine sixes, propelling India to a massive total of 442/9. In the last 24 hours, Harvansh's friends and family have shared a number of reels and memes featuring him, in which he has been touted as India's next batting sensation. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 새로 나온 '실손보험' 최적가 가입추천! The teenager still doesn't know how he managed to play such a jaw-dropping knock. Aap keh sakte ho ki maata aa gayi Harvansh Singh "I was struggling. The first five balls I faced, I was all at sea, failing to connect a single one. I was batting on 13 off 23 balls. I was just not able to find the gaps, and I was getting frustrated. But then something happened. Something snapped, aap keh sakte ho ki maata aa gayi (you could say I was possessed!)," Harvansh laughed. Harvansh hails from Gandhidham, a small town in Gujarat's Rann of Kutch. Growing up, he saw his father, Damandeep Singh, and uncle, Kunwarajeet Singh, who played cricket in their town, and interestingly, both of them were wicketkeepers. Now, his family, including his father, is settled in Canada, while Harvansh stayed back in Gandhidham with his mother. Harvansh's father moved to Canada in 2017 and is a truck driver. A couple of years ago, Harvansh visited his father in Brampton. The idea was to spend some quality time with him, but he hardly got to because of his work shifts. (Instagram) "He gets up early at 2:30am as his shifts start at 4am; then he comes back in the evening. We hardly got time to spend with him," he said. "Whenever I step out to bat, I see the faces of my mother and father. One lives in Gandhidham, while the other is in Brampton. I feel so bad for my mother. She stayed back so that I could live my dream. They have sacrificed so much for me," Harvansh added. Harvansh has promised his father that one day he will bring him back to India. Damandeep shares the confidence in believing that his son will play for India, but like any desi father, he is trying to save money for his son's future if cricket doesn't work out. But little does Damandeep know about his son's mentality. He is determined to reunite his parents, and he feels nothing is going to come in his way. Leeds to Birmingham: On the road with TOI Sports "I admire Yuvraj Singh . I adore his mentality about how he won the World Cup for the country while battling cancer," said Harvansh. "The sportsperson I liked the most is the late Kobe Bryant. His Mamba Mentality. No athlete can match his work ethic. He used to train for six to eight hours, which is so inspiring," he added. Harvansh feels that after reaching a certain level, it is not the skillset that helps an athlete but their mentality and self-belief. He vows to play Test cricket for India, and Virat Kohli's post-match interview after winning the IPL for RCB in Ahmedabad has a key role to play in it. Virat Kohli had said one can only earn respect by playing Test cricket. "Test ka naam test hai because it tests your character. I love playing four-day cricket. That's the ultimate cricket," he said. India U-19 cricketer Harvansh Singh during his visit to Canada to meet his father. (Instagram) Harvansh's teammates Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and his India U19 captain Ayush Mhatre have already played in the IPL and have lucrative deals. Harvansh takes inspiration from the duo, but he is more focused on his own game. "They are my friends; Ayush is my best mate in the team. I am happy for them. They do inspire all of us, but everyone has a different path." "Mera bhi time aayega (My time will come as well)," he said. India U19 will take on England U19 in the first Youth ODI at Hove on Friday. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. Watch Episode 2 here.
