Emergency crews were on the scene of a house fire on Smokey Drive in Lower Sackville, N.S., Tuesday night. A home in Lower Sackville, N.S., was badly damaged following a fire late Tuesday night. Crews responded to reports of a house fire in the 100 block of Smokey Drive around 11:40 p.m. Halifax Professional Fire Fighters says members arrived to find heavy fire conditions on the exterior of the home as well as in the attic space. At 11:39 PM, #hfxfirefighters responded to reports of a house fire on Smokey Drive in Lower Sackville. Our members arrived to find heavy fire conditions on the exterior of a house that had extended into the attic space and was starting to impinge of a neighbouring home. It was quickly contained just after midnight and did not spread further. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency says everyone got out the house safely.
