Cool-Girl Ceramicist Eny Lee Parker Launches a 'Chubby, Puffy, and Curvy' Jewelry Collection

Vogue21-05-2025
A little known fact about Eny Lee Parker—the Brooklyn artist known for her puffy chairs and playful white ceramics—is that she began her career in jewelry. After receiving her masters in furniture design at Savannah College of Art and Design, Parker felt daunted with the level of business savvy and factory-know-how it would take to launch her own brand within that space. So she decided to start small, instead crafting a line of her own accessories. 'That's how I made a living,' says Parker. 'It's how I started my business.'
Although she didn't stay small for long: Parker is now a staple at high-profile design fairs like Design Miami, with her lamps in particular viewed as a hot commodity. But on May 28, she returns to her roots with a new jewelry collection with London-based brand Missoma.

The collection, which includes necklaces, rings, and earrings, takes cues from Parker's signature ceramics style: oversized plump white studs bear a resemblance to her Puffy Daisy sconce, as does the Puffy Dome cuff bracelet. 'I wanted to keep playing with the bulbous type of shapes,' Parker says, adding that her Missoma pieces are 'chubby, puffy and curvy.'
Meanwhile, there's an emphasis on both gold and silver hoops—Parker's favorite earring type. 'I wear hoops on a daily basis,' she says. 'That's what I would wear the most.'
Much of the collection is crafted in wavy molten gold metal, giving it a visual complexity. Another material Parker embraced? Pearls, which exude a creamy sheen similar to the neutral color palette she uses for her ceramic furniture work.

Destiny 2's New ‘Win To Unlock The Ability To Pay' Ornament Is Bad

Destiny 2 It's always fun when Bungie does something like let a community member reveal a new item coming to Destiny 2, but poor Benny Shmurda was given the short end of the stick when it came to revealing a new Trials ornament for Conditional Finality. Here's the gun and the idea: A 'Bungie Reward' is when a player achieves something, like beating a raid early, for the ability to order a physical item like a raid-themed jacket in the Bungie Store. It stands to reason that Bungie isn't just going to mass send out free jackets to everyone, so it's a relatively uncontroversial practice. This? No. No no. Changing this idea to an in-game system where you are now being asked to achieve something (go flawless in Trials of Osiris) to unlock the ability to buy a digital ornament for real money (this will cost about $7-10 depending on your Silver stores). Even if it will be 'free' for in-game Bright Dust later, it's still a frown-worthy practice. While most players and creators seem to be in my camp, I've seen a few pushing back, including a high-profile player like Saltagreppo: FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder No, it's different. Again, a Seal is a physical item that Bungie is not going to automatically ship to everyone, so paying for that is expected. It's also not the same as getting a dungeon or raid exotic and having the (admittedly annoying) pop-up asking you to buy an ornament after. That is a wholly new gun you just got, which is the prize. Here, the Trials ornament is the prize for a gun you've had a while. And you would expect it to drop as a reward from playing Trials itself, not simply unlocking the ability to pay for it. It's just not the same thing. The idea that Bungie will offer it for bright dust later feels like a half measure, and if they're going to bother doing that part of it to make it 'free' later, then just offer it as a drop (perhaps not a guaranteed one) from Trials, which lord knows always needs fun new rewards to chase in the decaying state of Destiny PvP. But this went from an idea that was an automatic community win to an example of desperate nickel and diming. It's worse than simply buying a Trials ornament for a gun in the store (available to anyone), which they've done before, given the way it's being presented and unlocked. Will the community cause a big enough fuss to change this? I don't know. Bungie has enough going on with the huge launch of Edge of Fate next week, so this may get put on a burner. But it would have to be resolved before people could start to pay for it, and Bungie may just throw up their hands and not bother trying to escape the controversy as the community moves on to something else. But if it becomes a regular thing? That's not going to be good at all. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.

Bob Marley Charts A Brand New Top 10 Album

Bob Marley returns to Billboard's Reggae Albums chart with Uprising, which debuts at No. 9 thanks to ... More a new anniversary reissue, joining Legend and Exodus. (Photo by Erica Echenberg/Redferns) *** Local Caption *** Bob Marley almost never strays from the top spot on Billboard's Reggae Albums chart. Along with his backing band, the Wailers, the superstar's Legend compilation has ruled for 286 of the 287 frames it has spent on the tally. It's not unusual for the iconic musician to claim more than one spot on the short roster, either. What is fairly unusual, however, is for Marley to score a new appearance on the Reggae Albums list, as he's been gone for decades – but that's exactly what he manages this time around. Uprising Debuts Inside the Top 10 Uprising, credited to both Marley and the Wailers, debuts at No. 9 on this week's Reggae Albums chart. It's the only new arrival this time around. Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy reenters the list in the runner-up spot, hitting its all-time peak as it does. Bob Marley's Final Album Uprising was the final full-length released during Marley's lifetime. The collection dropped in June 1980, and although fans have been familiar with it for decades, it has only now performed well enough to appear on the Reggae Albums ranking. The project was recently reissued to celebrate its forty-fifth anniversary, pressed on a limited-edition vinyl filled with what was described as 'liquid sunshine.' The collectible nature of that pressing is likely largely responsible for Uprising finally landing on the Reggae Albums tally. Bob Marley Claims Three Spots on the Reggae Chart Marley fills three spaces on the 10-spot Reggae Albums chart this week. In addition to Uprising, Legend is once again ruling, while Exodus dips from No. 9 to No. 10. Among those three titles, only Legend appears on any other Billboard rankings at the moment. This week, it falls on both the Top Album Sales ranking and the Billboard 200, slipping to Nos. 40 and 65, respectively. Legend Nears 900 Weeks on the Billboard 200 While Legend doesn't appear anywhere near the top 10 on those other lists, as it does on the reggae-only tally, it has spent many hundreds of weeks on both Billboard's list of the bestselling titles in the country and the all-encompassing ranking of the most consumed albums. The compilation — one of the most successful of all time in America — will likely reach 900 weeks on the Billboard 200 in a little over a month. When it does, it will become one of only two titles to make it to that milestone.
