Alabama lands 2026 headliners: RB Ezavier Crowell, TE Mack Sutter
Alabama landed a commitment from four-star recruit Ezavier Crowell, the No. 2 running back in the Class of 2026.
The Jackson, Ala., native committed to the Crimson Tide on Thursday over offers from Auburn, Texas and Georgia.
He'll be joined in the class by one of the top 100 recruits in the country and No. 6 overall tight end, Mack Sutter. Sutter, a multi-sport athlete from Dunlap, Ill., had interest from many college football powers in the past two years. He caught seven TD passes as a junior last season.
Crowell led Jackson High to a Class 4A state championship last season, rushing for 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns.
He ranks No. 33 overall and No. 3 in the state of Alabama, per the 247 Sports composite.
Crowell, who reclassified from the 2027 class in January, ran for 1,737 yards as a 2023 freshman at Jackson HS.

Wisconsin basketball offers top-ranked in-state class of 2027 combo guard
After a great advanced camp and a great talk with Head Coach Greg Gard and Coach Sharif Chambliss, I am blessed to have received a D1 Offer from the University Of Wisconsin. Wisconsin basketball extended an offer to four-star class of 2027 combo guard Jalen Brown following its advanced camp on Thursday. The program, as it does annually, welcomed a litany of high-profile high school prospects spanning from the class of 2026 to 2028 to participate in the advanced camp in Madison. Brown, a product of Wauwatosa West High School in Milwaukee, stood out during the event. 247Sports considers the 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard the No. 82 overall recruit, No. 10 combo guard and No. 3 player from his home state of Wisconsin in the class of 2027. The outlet also considers Brown a four-star prospect with potential to rise further throughout the remainder of his high school career. Despite being a 2027 recruit, Brown has already secured a high-major offer from West Virginia in addition to opportunities at Grambling State and Northern Illinois. Marquette has also expressed interest, per 247Sports. As a sophomore at Wauwatosa West High School, Brown captained his team with 22.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals in 30.5 minutes per appearance. Against Brookfield East on Dec. 6, Brown logged 46 points, nine rebounds and five dimes off a blistering 85% from the field in what quickly became his most impressive individual performance of the 2024-25 campaign. While UW's won't completely ignite its 2027 recruiting efforts until next summer, its interest in Brown at this stage of his basketball journey is noteworthy. Considering his talent as a sophomore, his offer sheet will undoubtedly blossom as he continues to log more contests for Wauwatosa West High School. The Badgers' in-state ties, coupled with an early commitment to his development, could bode well for the program's chances down the line. As of June 27, only four-star small forward Donovan Davis and four-star shooting guard Dooney Johnson boast higher in-state rankings via 247Sports. Brown's status is one to monitor closely as he progresses with the Trojans. Wisconsin basketball offers four-star in-state class of 2027 small forward
Wisconsin basketball extended an offer to four-star class of 2027 small forward Jack Kohnen following its advanced Camp on Thursday. Kohnen, a 6-foot-5, 170-pound forward, is one of three class of 2027 recruits to earn an offer from Wisconsin following its annual camp at the Kohl Center on Thursday, joining wing Deuce McDuffie and combo guard Jalen Brown. 247Sports composite ranking considers the Slinger, Wisconsin, native as the No. 94 overall recruit, No. 25 small forward and No. 4 player from his home state of Wisconsin in the class of 2027. It lists him as a four-star prospect. On3, meanwhile, lists the rising junior as a three-star recruit, with an opportunity to bolster his profile as he adds mileage to his basketball career. Like Brown, who has pocketed several offers despite being a rising junior, Kohnen already owns collegiate offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Marquette and Western Illinois, in addition to his newest opportunity from UW. As a sophomore at Slinger High School, Kohnen spearheaded the Owls' offense with 23.1 points, 12.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.6 blocks off 54.5% shooting from the field and 34.6% from 3 per appearance. Against Oconomowoc on Jan. 25, Kohnen registered 24 points, a season-best 22 rebounds, four steals and four blocks in a 27-point win. He finished with at least 25 points in 14 games as a sophomore, showcasing his two-way ability for his size. The Badgers' proximity to Kohnen's hometown, especially compared to that of the Hawkeyes or Cyclones, may become a separator as he continues to step toward his collegiate career. As of June 27, only four-star small forward Donovan Davis, four-star shooting guard Dooney Johnson and four-star Brown possess higher in-state rankings.
