Elijah began practicing golf in his parents garden but now practices regularly at Prince Golf Club in Sandwich.His mum, Charlotte Gibbons, said: "He was in nappies,. He loved his practice club. He wouldn't go to bed, he'd still want to be out there."
'Jumping in lakes'
Sam Gibbons, Elijah's dad, then took him to his first competition, saying: "He wanted to play in competitions at the age of five, he joined the British junior tour, he's now a two time world champion."Elijah looks up to stars like Tiger Woods, saying: "I dream about winning the Masters and dream about facing Tiger in the final, then I wake up and I realise it didn't happen."But maybe one day, it should happen."The family have a motorhome they use to travel around the world with Elijah.Charlotte added: "He loves golf, but we want him to see the world too, jumping in lakes, riding his bike. He loves playing golf, but I don't want it to become something he has to do."Once the Under Armour World Championships are complete, Elijah will play in the US Kids World Championships.

Supporters' group The 1958 claim the introduction of PSLs – which United are adamant has only been explored hypothetically – would 'force out supporters who have followed the club for decades' and represent 'another step towards the Americanisation of our game'. August 1 - Charlie Woods dropped into a tie for ninth on the final day of the Junior PGA Championship, which took him out of the running for a qualifying spot for the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team on Friday. The 16-year-old son of Tiger Woods shot back-to-back 66s in the second and third rounds at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Ind., and was tied for second place entering the final round. But he posted a final-round 74 at the Ackerman-Allen course on Friday, with three bogeys and a double bogey over his final 10 holes. The Junior Ryder Cup will take place Sept. 23-25 at Bethpage Black and Nassau Country Club, just ahead of the senior event between the U.S. and Team Europe that weekend. There is also one captain's pick for the team, although Woods is likely not in line to be selected for it. Lunden Esterline was the runaway winner of the Junior PGA Championship with a final score of 19-under-par 266 (featuring a second-round 62). Giuseppe Puebla shot a final-round 64 to rocket into a tie for second at 13 under with Tyler Mawhinney (69). In doing so, Puebla received the other automatic qualifying spot for the Junior Ryder Cup. Louis Rees-Zammit has had ‘unbelievable' interest from rugby union teams
Former Wales winger Louis Rees-Zammit says he has had 'unbelievable' interest from clubs following his decision to return to rugby union. Rees-Zammit, 24, spent 18 months in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars, but did not feature for either franchise in a regular-season game. The former Gloucester wing, who made 32 appearances for Wales and toured with the British & Irish Lions in 2021, said he hopes to rekindle his international career. Rees-Zammit told Sky Sports News: 'I can't name teams, but I've had a load of interest, which is unbelievable. I'm very grateful for that. 'The season starts pretty soon. So it's about finding the right team for me in terms of location, in terms of how quick I've got to get into camp, and because the season's right around the corner, so all of these things that are going to happen, are going to happen pretty sharpish. 'Me and my brother are going through negotiations and seeing teams interested, which is amazing. We should find out in the next week or so.' Rees-Zammit quit rugby union in January 2024 in order to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL via its International Player Pathway Program. He signed an active roster deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2025 season after being part of their practice squad for the previous campaign and travelled to London for the games against the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots in October. Following his decision to return to the 15-man game, Rees-Zammit has targeted a return for Wales, who he helped to their last Six Nations triumph in 2021. He added: 'Playing for my country is the pinnacle and it's one that I absolutely love doing. 'I managed to play 32 times for my country in three, four years. I need to find a team. Once we find a team, get into good form and hopefully come Autumn Internationals, see where selection is. 'It's something that I'm really looking forward to and I really want to play for my country again.' Rees-Zammit's ambition will come as a welcome boost to recently-appointed Wales head coach Steve Tandy, who takes over a side that only ended an 18-match losing streak that lasted almost two years with a hard-fought win over Japan last month.
