The first trailer for the Bruce Springsteen biopic with Jeremy Allen White just dropped and I couldn't be more excited
As someone born and raised in New Jersey (and who's been to his share of Springsteen concerts), the trailer has me more excited than Courtney Cox at a concert for the movie's official release this October.
Instead of looking over his entire career, a la "Ray" or "Walk the Line," "Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere" captures a specific point in time: when Bruce was recording his 1982 album "Nebraska."
During that era, he was already fairly popular — he had already recorded five albums, including "Born to Run" and "The River" — but had yet to reach the levels of superstardom with "Born in the U.S.A.," which didn't come out until 1984.
In the trailer, we see Jeremy Allen White as the adult Springsteen, finally with some success, sitting behind the wheel of a new Camaro — complete with a 305 V8 engine, a nod to Springsteen's many car references in his songs.
The trailer also shows a few flashbacks in black and white of the artist as a boy and the difficulties he faced growing up. It then cuts to his recording of the album solo in his home.
At the end of the trailer, we get a taste of White's crooning abilities as he sings "Born to Run" with the rest of the E Street Band. And, I have to say, from that brief clip, he does more than a passable job at imitating the Boss's voice.

"Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere" is directed by Scott Cooper ("Black Mass," "Hostiles") and also stars Marc Maron, Gaby Hoffman, Jeremy Strong, and David Krumholtz. It will be released exclusively in theaters on October 24.

Molly Gordon Spills on Working With 2 of the Internet's Boyfriends, Jeremy Allen White and Logan Lerman: 'My Job Is Easy' (Exclusive)
Molly Gordon is not complaining. The 29-year-old actress has achieved an enviable feat with her two most recent projects. In June, the fourth season of The Bear premiered to rave reviews, and she's following up that success with the upcoming film, Oh, Hi! In the hit FX series about a moody Chicago chef, Gordon plays Claire, a childhood love interest of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), who reconnects with him later in life. In Oh, Hi!, she chains Logan Lerman to a bed after their first trip as a couple takes an unfortunate turn when he confesses he doesn't want to date her. Between the two projects, she's worked with two of the internet's favorite boyfriends — White and Lerman — and she knows she's lucky. "They're both lovely," Gordon tells PEOPLE of her two costars at Sony Pictures Classics and The Cinema Society's screening of Oh, Hi! at the Roxy Cinema and Jimmy on July 22. "They're both lovely people, so that's the similarity [between them]," she adds. "But, yeah, I'm lucky," Gordon says. "My job is easy." Lerman, 33, who joins his costar for the joint interview ahead of the screening, says it still "shocks me any time somebody says" that he's an internet boyfriend — even as Gordon teases, "You know that." "It's a very jarring thing to be told," Lerman admits. "But it's a sweet compliment, so that's nice." The actress had both aforementioned viral crushes by her side as she stepped out for the celebration in New York City. White, 34, attended the screening and party with Gordon, while Lerman was joined by his fiancée, Analuisa Corrigan. It was the first time that Gordon and White were photographed together since they were spotted sharing a kiss in Los Angeles last year. Following the PDA moment, a source told PEOPLE that there had been "set rumors early on that they had intense chemistry even when not filming," but they "didn't start hanging out romantically" until the summer of 2024. At the time, the source said the actor "really seems into Molly" and "they're affectionate, often in deep conversations and seem curious to get to know each other better." Neither White nor Gordon has spoken publicly about the nature of their relationship since. The Theater Camp star did briefly touch on the response to her and White's kiss during a recent interview with Vanity Fair, as she said, "With the internet, I just think — I even see it in myself as a fan of things — we're just a more judgmental society." The actor, who will next play Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, was linked to singer Rosalía prior to speculation about his off-camera relationship with Gordon. They were last seen together in July 2024, a year and a half after their first sighting. White was previously married to Addison Timlin, with whom he shares daughters Ezer and Dolores. Bruce Springsteen Joins Zach Bryan for Surprise Appearance at New Jersey Concert
Zach Bryan has been called 'Bruce Springsteen's heir' — and on Sunday, the latter surprised fans at Bryan's concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Springsteen took the MetLife Stadium stage in his home state to perform his own 'Atlantic City' with Bryan. At the end of the song, the audience could be heard yelling 'BRUUUUUCE' (not booing, as some on social media misheard). Just last August, Springsteen surprised fans at Bryan's Philadelphia concert for a rendition of 'Atlantic City' and 'Sandpaper,' on which the two collaborated. On Sunday, concertgoers got a tease of Springsteen's appearance early in the evening, when 'House of a Thousand Guitars,' from his 2020 album, Letter to You, was heard across the sound system. Later in the set, Bryan brought out Caleb Followill, a member of opening band Kings of Leon, to the stage, introducing him as the 'sweetest man I've ever met.' He then took a beat to bring on 'one of the greatest men to ever exist, a New Jersey native, Mr. Bruce Springsteen.' The band then launched into 'Atlantic City' off Springsteen's 1982 solo album, Nebraska, which Followill also joined in on. That era of Springsteen's music career will hit the big screen in October with the release of the film Deliver Me From Nowhere, starring Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen. Springsteen came out again for the show's encore, Bryan's 'Revival.' Sunday's concert was the last of Bryan's three-night engagement in East Rutherford. The shows also marked Kings of Leon's first live performances since canceling a portion of their European dates due to a heel injury sustained by Followill earlier this summer. Their setlist included past hits as well as new music from their latest release, Can We Please Have Fun. Bryan, whose songwriting is often compared to Springsteen's, is a U.S. Navy veteran from Oklahoma who has helped usher in a new era of country music. His career took off in 2023 with his fourth album, Zach Bryan. He released another hit album, The Great American Bar Scene, in 2024. Springsteen recently wrapped a European tour and has been seen in and around his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey. Bryan also spent much of June in Europe, headlining two nights at London's Hyde Park. Watch the Sunday night performance below. Jeremy Allen White Supports Rumored Girlfriend Molly Gordon at NYC Screening of Her New Movie, 'Oh, Hi!'
After months of laying low, Molly Gordon and Jeremy Allen White are once again fueling romance rumors. The actors, who star as love interests on The Bear, spent an evening together in New York City on Tuesday, July 22, as White, 34, showed up to support Gordon, 29, and her new film. He was a special guest of the actress, along with Owen Thiele, at Sony Pictures Classics and The Cinema Society's screening of Oh, Hi! at the Roxy Cinema and Jimmy. White attended both the screening and afterparty with Gordon's parents, with whom he appeared to be familiar. Following the screening of the movie, which Gordon stars in alongside Logan Lerman and produced, the actress celebrated with White, Thiele, Lerman and his fiancée Ana Corrigan. White and Gordon kept things lowkey but were spotted grabbing each other's hands at several moments throughout the evening. Speculation about the costars' off-camera relationship began last September when they were photographed kissing in L.A. Photos emerged of White and Gordon sharing several kisses — and a tight embrace — on Sept. 25 last year. They had their arms wrapped around each other as they kissed and hugged during the low-key outing, which came after White had previously been linked to singer Rosalía, with whom he was first spotted in October 2023 and was last seen with in July 2024. A source later told PEOPLE that Gordon and White had "intense chemistry" on the set of that developed into something more. After they were seen kissing, a source said that the costars had only recently started "hanging out romantically." "There were set rumors early on that they had intense chemistry even when not filming," the source said. White "really seems into Molly," the insider continued. "She spends time at his house. They go on lunch dates and seem to have a great time. They're affectionate, often in deep conversations and seem curious to get to know each other better." Fatherhood remains a priority for the actor, though, who shares daughters Ezer and Dolores with his ex-wife, Addison Timlin. White is "very involved with his kids," the source said, and "often takes them out for activities."
