Putin: Free access to knowledge, technology most important factors in building just, multipolar world
Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed on Wednesday that free access to knowledge and technology is one of the most important factors in shaping a just, multipolar world.
Putin told participants in the Third International Forum of Ministers of Education, "Shaping the Future," according to Sputnik News Agency: "I welcome our colleagues and partners from the Commonwealth of Independent States, the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, and all participants in the Third International Forum of Ministers of Education in Kazan."
He continued: "You and I are united by a common aspiration to ensure access to modern and decent education. This is a key and fundamental condition for achieving social justice, reducing poverty and inequality, increasing income, and improving the quality of life for the citizens of our countries."
Putin added, "We are ready to share our accumulated experience and engage in open dialogue. We are convinced that free and equal access to knowledge, technologies, and scientific achievements is one of the key factors for sustainable development and the formation of a more just and secure multipolar world."
The President emphasized that Russia looks forward to mutually beneficial cooperation with countries of the East and the South in the field of education.
Putin added, "We support the desire of countries of the East and the South to participate in joint educational projects and rely on mutually beneficial cooperation."
He said, "Together, we must seek solutions to the complex and significant challenges facing all national education systems, taking into account global trends, including the rapid and widespread spread of digital technologies and artificial intelligence models. They are already radically changing the educational process, accelerating the transformation of the labor market, and contributing to the emergence of new professions."
Putin noted, "Of course, we must create effective schools, colleges, and universities to solve current and future development problems in our countries. At the same time, it is important that education contributes to preserving national identity and supporting the diversity of cultures and traditions."
According to him, "school in the broadest sense should not only provide the most advanced knowledge and skills, but should also educate, nurture, and help young people acquire a solid foundation of values for life and become harmonious individuals."
According to Putin, this approach is the foundation of the Russian education system. He emphasized that "everything we do is subordinated to the most important mission: helping every child and adolescent discover their abilities and realize their potential."
The Russian President extended his greetings to the participants in the Third International Forum of Ministers of Education "Shaping the Future," being held in Kazan. Representatives from the Commonwealth of Independent States, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America are participating in the forum.

Belarus re-briefs UN on HR violations committed by Kyiv
Minsk - Saba: The press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the representative of Belarus, during the current session of the UN Human Rights Council, drew attention to numerous human rights violations committed by the Ukrainian authorities. According to the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "The Permanent Mission of the Republic participated in the discussion of the situation in Ukraine in the context of the reports of the UN Secretary-General and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, within the framework of the 59th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva." The Belarusian delegation, whose statement was quoted by the press service, stated that "the new report of the Secretary-General submitted to the Council and the oral information of the High Commissioner are again characterized by imbalance, bias, and biased accusations against Russia. Once again, we see in them nothing but tools of pressure and an intention to discredit a sovereign state." It is noted that "numerous human rights violations by the Ukrainian authorities, rabid anti-Russian hostility, hate speech, and incitement to ethnic hatred continue to fuel the conflict." The statement emphasized that many of the aforementioned problems remain beyond the attention of human rights bodies. The Permanent Mission noted that "a preliminary, objective, and impartial assessment has yet to be conducted, which complicates the process of reaching a long-term settlement." The Belarusian representative emphasized that "Belarus consistently supports initiatives aimed at easing military and political tensions in the region. We provide all possible assistance to maintain humanitarian contact between the parties. We call on other countries, as well as international organizations, to work towards de-escalation and the establishment of peace as soon as possible." Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated on Tuesday that during talks with US Presidential Special Representative Keith Kellogg, he conveyed to the US side the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the possibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine. According to the Belarusian news agency "BelTA", Lukashenko said, following the official part of his speech at a festive meeting to mark Independence Day: "The Americans are talking a lot today about a truce, at least in the air. I discussed this issue earlier with Vladimir Putin (Russian President), and this is not the first time it has been raised. Putin correctly says, 'We are for it, not against it, and we do not want American, British, French, and German missiles to hit our cities,'" referring to the ongoing drone attacks. Geran-2 Drones Destroy Temporary Deployment Point of Foreign Mercenaries in Zaporizhzhia
Moscow - Saba: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian army personnel targeted a temporary deployment point of foreign mercenaries affiliated with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhzhia region using Russian "Geran" drones. According to a statement reported by Sputnik, the ministry said: "Geran-2 drone crews destroyed a temporary deployment point of foreign mercenaries in the Meridian Center area of the Zaporizhzhia region." The ministry further explained that drone production workshops and components were also targeted in the village of Konotop in the Sumy region. The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that the Kyiv regime uses foreign mercenaries as "cannon fodder," and that the Russian army will continue to eliminate them across Ukraine. Many of those who came to fight for money have admitted in various interviews that the Ukrainian army failed to coordinate their actions effectively, and that the chances of surviving combat were low. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova had previously stated that the West has effectively made itself a party to the conflict by sending mercenaries to participate in hostilities. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also affirmed that several countries are deploying professional military personnel to Ukrainian territory under the guise of mercenaries.
