SP conducts surprise inspection in Tirumala
On Thursday, he made a surprise inspection in Tirumala covering various places including Lepakshi area, Balaji nagar, Kalyanakatta, Akhilandam, CRO Office. He discussed security for the coming Brahmotsavams and also other measures, including organising 'May I Help You' counter. He also discussed safety measures on the walking path on Alipiri footpath and Srivarimettu footpath.
Along with bomb squad, SP Harshavardhan thoroughly searched Balaji Nagar and Lepakshi area. He interacted with shopkeepers and told them to be courteous with pilgrims and no to exploit them. The SP directed officials to ensure that the police personnel to be kind and helpful to the pilgrims.

Gadwal: District Superintendent of Police T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, has emphasized that all concerned departmental officials must ensure the successful implementation of Operation Muskaan-11, a prestigious initiative launched by the government to eradicate child labor. As part of Operation Muskaan-11, the SP held a meeting today at the District Police Office with officials from various departments. During the session, he highlighted the main objectives of the operation — to identify, rescue, and rehabilitate missing and child labor victims — and called upon authorities to move forward with well-structured and coordinated planning. The SP stated that police teams, in collaboration with departmental officials, would conduct raids across workplaces throughout the district to identify children engaged in labor. He instructed officers to register criminal cases against employers who exploit children and take strict legal action. He informed that special teams have already been formed for this purpose. These teams are tasked with identifying rescued children, ensuring their safe return to parents, providing counseling to families, and, in the case of orphans or abandoned children, transferring them to appropriate care homes. The SP urged citizens to report any instances of child labor by dialing 100 or 1098, or by informing local police stations. He also directed officials to review last year's rescue data under Operation Muskaan-10, to verify how many children were truly rehabilitated and how their lives have improved since. The SP emphasized that rescued children should be educated and supported during the process, and assured that Childline services would receive full support from the police at all times. Operation Muskaan is conducted annually from July 1st to 31st under the supervision of the police department, with support from multiple government departments to identify and rescue child laborers. The SP mentioned that under Operation Muskaan-10, conducted last year, many children were rescued from forced labor and reunited with their families, showcasing the effectiveness of the initiative. 6 arrested for failed robbery bid in Mayurbhanj
1 2 3 4 Bhubaneswar: Mayurbhanj police on Friday arrested six individuals in connection with an attempted armed robbery and shooting of a liquor shop employee on NH-18 on June 23. The victim, Shibananda Barik (30), was carrying Rs 8 lakh collected from various foreign liquor shops when he was attacked around 11am between Kuchei Chowk and Baiganbadia Chowk while en route to Baripada. Barik sustained gunshot wounds to his left thigh and ear when he resisted the robbery attempt. "The miscreants have criminal antecedents and are from three different districts," said SP of Mayurbhanj, Varun Guntupalli. Police investigation, aided by CCTV footage and forensic evidence, led to the recovery of a country-made pistol and identification of the suspects. The accused were identified as Debendra Das, 34, and Manas Giri, 19, from Balasore, Narayan Behera, 31, and Dillip Kumar Rao, 55, from Ganjam, and Debabrata Sahu, 26, and Shibashankar Barik, 29, from Mayurbhanj. A suspect, Kuna Barik from Ganjam, remains at large. Police have seized two vehicles used in the crime. DIG (northern range) Satyajit Nayak said the robbery was foiled when local farmers, responding to Barik's screams, forced the assailants to flee towards Andhari Gaon. The case was registered following a complaint by Sangram Keshari Behera of Kamata village. Police investigation revealed that three of the accused had masterminded the plot while the others executed it. The SP also assured that arrests in the June 24 Odisha Gramin Bank robbery case under Kuliana police station limits would occur soon.

Job racket: Man held for cheating 3 of 21L
Trichy: A 36-year-old man was arrested in Mayiladuthurai on Thursday for cheating at least three people of 21.8 lakh by promising them jobs abroad. Police said the accused, M Subash Chandra Bose, from Senthangudi in Mayiladuthurai district, and his friend Karthik have been running an overseas consultancy agency for the past two years. G Selvam, 35, from Sevinthipatti in Namakkal district, paid the agency 7.25 lakh for a job in a foreign country. However, Selvam did not get a job even after a year. He recently lodged a complaint with Mayiladuthurai superintendent of police G Stalin about the cheating. Subsequently, the SP instructed the district crime branch to investigate the case. The team led by DSP P Tamilvanan also received complaints from two others from Namakkal and Mayiladuthurai districts against the agency. On Thursday, the team arrested Subash Chandra Bose. Karthik is still on a run. Bose has been booked under IPC sections 406 (breach of trust) and 420 (cheating). He was produced before a magistrate and was remanded in judicial custody. Police are searching for Karthik.
