Perth man reveals travel plans after taking home Saturday's division one Lotto prize
Lotto
prize on Saturday.
The south of the river man — who purchased his ticket from Newstime Lottery Centre in the CBD — has been playing his favourite numbers for 30 years.
After matching five winning numbers the weekend before, the man predicted he would win big in the next draw.
'I had a good feeling I might get six this weekend,' he said.
The winner was still shocked to discover on Monday that he had won a massive $546,068.
He said he will use his winnings to retire a little earlier and travel the country with his wife in 'probably a bit more luxurious caravan than (they) had initially planned'.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the man was one of two WA division one winners on Saturday — with the second winner purchasing his ticket online.
'Saturday Lotto continues to be the game that produces more division one wins in WA than any other game.'
Another eight people won big, taking home nearly $10,000 each in division two.
WA's Division Two tickets were sold from:
Saturday's winning numbers: 1, 28, 19, 6, 17, 10 and Supps: 35, 14

Lotto: Uni student celebrates Millionaire Medley win by paying off fees and indulging on chicken dinner
A West Aussie engineering student celebrated in style after becoming a millionaire, thanks to winning division one in Monday's Millionaire Medley draw. The university student in his late twenties was in disbelief when he found out that he had won a division one prize of $1,000,000. 'My heart was beating out of my chest when I realised, I had won,' he said. In a heartwarming admission, the student claimed that he would use his winnings to pay all of his university fees, then celebrate in true student style. 'I'll be paying all my uni fees upfront and I'm taking my girlfriend out for a chicken dinner to celebrate,' he said. The student had only been playing Lotto for around six months and purchased the winning ticket from Riverton Forum Lottery Kiosk in Parkwood. Unusually, his winning ticket was a System 7 ticket, which cost less than $15 but covered multiple combinations of similar numbers, meaning that he took home an additional $3,250.50 on top of his $1 million Division One prize. Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said said as System tickets cover multiple combinations of similar numbers, winning a Systems entry will usually pay multiple prizes. 'Buying a System ticket allows you to choose fewer or more numbers than are drawn, generating every possible combination for your chosen numbers,' she said. This win is WA's second Millionaire Medley win of the month and follows after a Perth woman in her 70s came forward to claim a $4.29m slice of Saturday's $30m Megadraw jackpot earlier this week. The next chance to win is in Thursday night's $4 million Powerball jackpot and tickets are available in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App.

Lotto: Perth woman in her 70s claims $4.2m slice of Saturday's $30m Megadraw jackpot
The West Aussie winner of Saturday's Megadraw has come forward to collect her slice of the $30 million jackpot, revealing how a 'funny feeling' prompted her to buy the lucky slip. At the eleventh hour, the woman in her 70s decided to go back to The Lucky Charm in Harrisdale and purchase a ticket for herself after she bought one earlier as a birthday gift for her adult son. 'There was something in the back of my mind telling me to go and buy another ticket,' the winner said. 'I managed to get to the newsagents in Harrisdale before it closed on Saturday and thought nothing more of it until I was shopping the next day and decided to check my ticket in-store. 'I was shocked when the girl in the store quietly told me I won, but I couldn't let myself believe it until I got to Lotterywest to verify the win. I don't think I slept a wink that night.' Overjoyed by the mammoth win, the woman from Perth's southeast plans to pay off her mortgage and set off on a holiday with her newfound fortune. Saturday's Lotto luck follows a tidy division one win in Monday night's Millionaire Medley game. The $1 million ticket was sold at Riverton Forum Lottery Kiosk, with the winner yet to claim their cash. Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the State's recent big wins come after a string of division one hauls this month. 'WA has celebrated eight division one prizes since the start of July and we hope to see that number grow following tonight's $20 million OZ Lotto draw,' she said. 'It's been absolutely freezing in Perth over the last few days so it's wonderful to hear heartwarming stories of Lotto wins changing the lives of West Aussies.' Punters will get the chance to be in the running for Tuesday's $20m Oz Lotto jackpot, with tickets available for purchase online or in-store until 6pm.
