KRU adds fourth GenKRU concert on May 11 after earlier shows sell out in under an hour due to overwhelming demand
KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 — Organisers have added a fourth night to the GenKRU concert series after tickets for the third show sold out, extending the reunion performances of the KRU brothers to May 11 at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil.
Icon Entertainment founder Iman Tang said the decision was made in response to overwhelming requests from fans of the trio.
'Icon Entertainment would like to express our deepest thanks to all KRU fans for purchasing tickets for the first and second GenKRU concerts, which sold out in under an hour,' he said, as quoted by Kosmo! Online.
'The tickets for the third night on May 10 are also officially sold out. We are truly touched by the support. This is a symbol of love and appreciation from fans for our national music icons.

'On behalf of Icon Entertainment and KRU, I feel extremely moved and speechless, and I now announce the fourth night of the GenKRU concert,' he said.
Iman said they felt responsible to give all supporters who struggled to get tickets another chance to create new memories with Datuk Norman Abdul Halim, Datuk Yusry and Edry.
'For those who failed to secure tickets for the earlier three shows, we want them to feel the same satisfaction at this final concert night,' he added.
KRU member Norman said the group agreed to add a fourth night as a gift to fans from both Icon Entertainment and KRU.
'With Monday, May 12, 2025, being a public holiday for Wesak Day, we felt that holding a concert on Sunday, May 11, was suitable,' he said.

Catch me outside? Delaware's new $100K-plus concert stage adds more 'professional' vibe
Rockford Park's $100,000-plus new concert stage attracts an eclectic mix of music artists – from hip-hop to country – to entertain crowds in a free, weekly concert series in Wilmington this summer. Friends of Wilmington Parks are partnering with Delaware State Parks to present this summer's concert series in Rockford Park. The next show is June 30 with The Gretchen Emery Band, a rock 'n' roll and soul group led by a powerhouse female singer of the same name. The summer concert series, which started June 16, is held every Monday at 6:30 p.m. It ends on Aug. 11. Here's what you need to know about this new Rockford Park concert stage, the rest of the summer lineup, and more. The new stage costs approximately $130,000 and was funded by the Friends of Wilmington Parks (FOWP), according to Leslie Hubbard, executive director of the nonprofit. FOWP is in partnership with Wilmington State Parks (WSP), and WSP owns the Rockford Park concert stage, she added. Hubbard said FOWP and WSP collaborated on designing the stage together. It took about three years for Friends of Wilmington Park to raise funds for the stage, and FOWP relied on multiple sources of funding, including Wilmington City Council member Nathan Field, as well as the Highlands Community Association, Hubbard said. Most of the stage funding came from the 2024 fiscal Community Reinvestment Fund, a capital grant program, that allocated $78,000 for the project. Delaware State Fair 2025: Entertainment preview with Racing Corgis, Fluffy comedian & more The new stage is a significant improvement over the old one. It now features a roof to shield performers from rain. The stage is bigger at 14 feet wide by 20 feet long, compared to the former stage, which was 9 feet wide by 12 feet long. This means musicians now have more space to move around, and the larger stage provides a better view for the audience. Hubbard said the new stage also provides better lighting, more storage space, and they can attract bands that have bigger groups. "It just takes us into a much more professional level and allows musicians to be more comfortable, attendees to be more comfortable, and [enjoy] a nice experience," Hubbard said. Park visitors are welcome to bring their food and have a picnic while attending the concerts. Or they can buy some grub from a food truck. Each week, a different food truck is on tap. Wilmington Brew Works will have beer for sale at each concert, too, Hubbard said. Broadway added: Look at The Grand's 2025-26 season Sometimes bad weather, like rain or extreme heat, forces a show to be canceled. On June 23, temperatures were in the 90s and that caused the show with Kid Davis & the Bullets to get canceled hours in advance. If more bad weather happens this summer, Hubbard said cancellation notices will be posted by 2 p.m. on concert days on FOWP's Facebook and Instagram pages. And don't forget that you're welcome to bring your own food and water, so be sure to stay cool and hydrated. Matthew M. Ritter, director of Delaware State Parks, said he's "excited for the new concert stage" as Wilmington State Parks "have come a long way since being established in 1998. Ritter said the original stage was built by their maintenance crew in 1999 and consisted of a small, elevated platform. The park director said he's thankful to "our incredible Friends with Wilmington State Parks" for a "beautiful" new stage. He added, "I don't think we could ask for a better backdrop with the Rockford Tower in the background while you relax and listen to incredible musicians." This summer's Rockford Park concert lineup features music artists across a variety of genres, including funk, rock and others. Hubbard said the lineup was curated by Gable Music Ventures (producers of the Ladybug Music Festival) and Wilmington State Parks, along with input from FOWP. Here's the schedule for the rest of this summer's concert series: June 30 at 6:30 p.m.: Gretchen Emery Band (rock 'n' roll, soul), July 7 at 6:30 p.m.: Nic Snow (hip-hop, R&B, soul) July 14 at 6:30 p.m.: What The Funk (dance, funk) July 21 at 6:30 p.m.: The Blues Reincarnation Project (blues, funk, rock 'n' roll) July 28 at 6:30 p.m.: Koser (alternative) Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m.: Roberta Plant (country) Aug. 11 at 6:30 p.m.: Eljuri (rock) The Rockford Park summer concert series (2000 Lookout Drive, Wilmington) is held every Monday at 6:30 p.m. through Aug. 11. The concerts are near the Tower. Concerts are free. Post Malone's Toast To Audience Goes Terribly Wrong At Arizona Concert
Post Malone took quite the spill during a recent concert in Glendale, Arizona. In fan-filmed video from his June 21 show, the singer was seen strutting across stage with a red Solo cup in hand as he performed his single 'Pour Me a Drink.' As he knelt down to toast with a fan in the front row, a piece of the stage platform collapsed, causing him to tumble into the audience. While he lost most of his beverage, Post didn't appear to injure himself in the fall. Another video showed him swiftly make his way back onstage to finish his song and salute the crowd with his half-filled drink. The mid-concert mishap was far less serious than an accident that happened during a show in St. Louis, Missouri, in September 2022. Post was sent to the hospital with bruised ribs when he fell through a trapdoor while performing his song 'Circles.' Afterwards, the singer told fans what went wrong while sending them love in a video on Twitter. 'Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitar's on the guitar stand and it goes down,' he explained. 'And there's this big ass hole, so I go around there and I turn the corner and I bust my ass. Winded me pretty good; got me pretty good.' Post Malone Falls Off Stage Mid-Toast During Arizona Show
Post Malone took an unexpected tumble off the stage during a recent stop on his The Big Ass Stadium Tour — but didn't miss a beat. The fall happened during Malone's performance of 'Pour Me a Drink' at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., on Saturday (June 29). As seen in fan-filmed footage that quickly spread across social media, the singer knelt down to toast a front-row fan who had her plastic cup raised, when a piece of the stage gave way beneath him. Malone — still smiling and holding his own cup — suddenly dropped out of frame as the platform collapsed. He reportedly got back onstage almost immediately, continuing to sing and raising his cup to finish the cheers, drawing cheers of his own from the crowd. One fan posted the viral clip on TikTok with the caption, 'I am SO sorry Austin. I love you! Such an amazing show,' referencing her role in the moment. Onscreen text read, 'I didn't mean to almost break your back,' in a playful nod to the song's lyric: 'I've been breakin' my back.' Malone's quick recovery brought flashbacks to a more serious onstage accident in September 2022, when he fell through a trapdoor during a show in St. Louis and suffered bruised ribs. That incident led to a hospital visit and prompted the artist to promise fans he'd return to the city for a longer makeup show. Malone is currently in the middle of the North American leg of his tour, which supports his F-1 Trillion album. The Arizona show was among his biggest of the summer, and he'll continue the run with more stadium and arena dates before heading to Europe and Asia in August. 'Pour Me a Drink' — the track soundtracking the mishap — is a country-pop crossover duet with Blake Shelton. The song debuted during the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards and topped Billboard's Country Airplay chart (dated Oct. 12). The collaboration advanced by 5% to 27.9 million audience impressions Sept. 27-Oct. 3, according to song, which Post Malone co-wrote, is his second Country Airplay No. 1, after 'I Had Some Help,' featuring Morgan Wallen, dominated for four frames beginning in June. Both hits are from his introductory LP in the genre, F-1 Trillion, which motored in at No. 1 on the Aug. 31-dated Top Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200 with 250,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States. The set earned 1.1 million units over its first six weeks of release.
