Fans React To Alleged Scalper Reselling Insider Tickets To NCT DREAM's KL Concert

Hype Malaysia6 days ago
It's bad enough that fans have to contend with scalpers whenever a concert is announced. But what's even more frustrating is the suspicion that some tickets may have already been set aside for insiders linked to the concert organiser. This was one of the issues discussed regarding G-Dragon's recent concert in Kuala Lumpur.
It seems that fans of a K-pop group may be facing a similar situation. One scalper has allegedly claimed to be reselling insider tickets to NCT DREAM (엔시티 드림)'s upcoming concert in Kuala Lumpur, despite the fact that official ticketing details have yet to be released. Here's what happened:
As many fans will know, NCT DREAM are set to perform in Kuala Lumpur this December as part of their 'The Dream Show 4: Dream The Future' tour. Earlier this week, a Twitter user discovered that an alleged scalper from Indonesia was reselling insider tickets to the upcoming concert via Instagram Story, though the individual's username had been cropped out. According to the screenshot, the scalper claimed to be selling VIP standing tickets.
As the official ticketing details have yet to be announced, the fan was understandably baffled as to how the scalper had managed to obtain the passes. This has raised suspicions that the individual may be an insider themselves, or at least connected to someone within the event's organising team. As expected, the post instantly went viral with many calling out Live Nation Malaysia, urging them to explain if this is true or if the scalper was simply trying to scam fans.
Others requested that the Twitter user expose the scalper so they can be reported. Some have also urged the organiser not to follow in the footsteps of another local company that was previously accused of prioritising foreign attendees. At the time of writing, Live Nation Malaysia has yet to address the issue regarding the alleged scalper and the supposed insider ticket.
The alleged scalper, however, who has now been identified, has since set their account to private following the exposure. Hopefully, this is simply another case of a scalper attempting to scam fans into purchasing a non-existent ticket. It wouldn't be the first time, as something similar occurred when BIGBANG's Taeyang announced his concert. What do you think?

#SHOWBIZ: Amy of Search issues letter of demand to Shila Amzah

KUALA LUMPUR: Lawyers for Datuk Amy of Search have sent a letter of demand to singer Shila Amzah, following the recent viral controversy involving the two artistes. Amy's lawyer, Datuk M Reza Hassan, confirmed the notice had been issued but did not share any further details. "We just sent a letter of demand, but they (Shila's lawyers) have asked for time to get further instructions from Shila. I can't share anything more for now. We'll see how it goes," M Reza told HM Online. The dispute began after Shila, 35, whose real name is Nurshahila Amir Amzah, filed a police report on July 10. The 'Patah Seribu' singer claimed a legendary singer had verbally attacked her at a recent event they both attended. Shila later confirmed the individual was Amy, who is also the father of actress Nabila Huda. Initial police investigations revealed the tension was caused by Amy's dissatisfaction with Shila's alleged interference in his family's affairs. Both parties have since had their statements taken by the police. Following this, Amy filed a counter-report at the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters on July 16, which was also confirmed by M Reza. Adding to the speculation, Amy was recently seen deleting all of his posts on Instagram, leading to questions about his actions and current situation.

(Video) BOYNEXTDOOR Allegedly Faced Discrimination During Recent US Trip

It isn't uncommon for idols to face discrimination when performing or travelling in countries outside their own. For example, when the iconic K-pop group Stray Kids attended the Met Gala, some members of the press were openly rude and dismissive toward them. This kind of behaviour has been called out for years, and while progress has been made, incidents like this still happen. On 2nd August (Saturday), the rising group BOYNEXTDOOR (보이넥스트도어) shared details of an alleged case of mistreatment during their time in the U.S. The incident quickly sparked concern among fans and industry watchers. It has also reignited discussions about the ongoing discrimination that non-Western artists continue to experience, both subtle and direct, when navigating global platforms. Following their performance at Lollapalooza 2025 — one of the world's biggest music festivals — BOYNEXTDOOR went live from their hotel room to share an unsettling experience. Earlier that day, they had eaten at a restaurant where something felt off. The group explained that they were already seated in a booth when they tried to place their order. They called over a waiter, but he had told them to wait and walked away to serve another table instead. The same waiter eventually returned to pour their drinks, but when Riwoo (리우) told him they were ready to order, the waiter interrupted again, asked them to wait, and left. Member Leehan (이한) quickly called it out as discrimination. Afterwards, the group began discussing how restaurant roles can vary — with some staff responsible only for certain tasks — though the tone of the conversation suggested they questioned whether this was just a misunderstanding or something more deliberate. ONEDOORs (BOYNEXTDOOR fans) were quick to voice their frustration online. Many fans argued that once seated, it's standard courtesy to start taking orders and expressed concern that the group was being overlooked due to race or nationality. Others urged caution, noting that fans might lack full context — for example, certain restaurant staff aren't tasked with taking orders, and the waiter could have simply been busy. Even so, Leehan's strong reaction raised concerns. It suggested that this may not have been the group's first encounter with subtle racial profiling. Whether or not the restaurant intended to discriminate, the moment struck a chord with fans. It served as a reminder of the everyday challenges international artists still face when navigating unfamiliar spaces, even in casual, everyday settings. Are Florence Pugh and Finn Cole secretly engaged?

They are the kind of couple that hides in plain sight. Walking hand-in-hand behind festival crowds, exchanging warm Instagram comments and exiting red carpets through the back door. Florence Pugh, the Oscar-nominated darling of Hollywood and Finn Cole, the British actor best known for his role in Peaky Blinders, may have quietly fallen in love. And if recent reports are true, they may be taking the next big step together. August has just begun, and the rumour mill is spinning again over their alleged romance. According to one insider, Cole and Pugh have been in a bubble, getting to know each other away from the spotlight. Florence Pugh and Finn Cole are rumoured to be engaged. Photo: X As for a ring? None has been spotted and neither party has commented. But they continue to support each other's work publicly and it seems, love quietly. Back in September 2024, they were seen hand-in-hand at The Perfect Couple premiere after-party at The Hoxton hotel in East London. Even celebrity gossip accounts reported sightings of the couple all over London during that time. But perhaps the most telling moment came when Pugh confirmed to British Vogue in the same month: 'Yes. We are figuring out what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I am not allowing myself to go on a roller coaster. I am allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that,' she said. While she did not name names, the timing was hard to ignore. She went on to describe falling in love as 'the most amazing feeling,' but warned that 'unfortunately if that is the only thing that you know in a relationship, then that is the thing that you chase. That is not gonna last.' Florence Pugh and Finn Cole are rumoured to be engaged. Photo: X In June 2024, the pair were spotted together at Glastonbury Festival, and by July, Pugh had commented excitedly on Cole's casting announcement, joking, 'Granny Pat wants to come. #obvi.' Though neither Pugh nor Cole has confirmed their relationship, the evidence has been building quietly over the past year. What began as a long-standing friendship appears to have turned into something far more serious. Their connection goes back to at least 2017. Over the years, Pugh has consistently liked Cole's Instagram posts, with her interactions becoming more frequent and affectionate in recent months. While Pugh's rise has been swift — from indie darling in Lady Macbeth to Marvel star in Black Widow and Thunderbolts — Cole's career has also been a steady climb. Born in Kingston, London, on Nov 9, 1995, Cole got his start with a background role in Offender (2012), which starred his older brother Joe Cole. Joe would go on to play John Shelby in the acclaimed BBC series Peaky Blinders, a gritty crime drama where Finn would eventually find his breakout role as Michael Gray, John's cousin and the ambitious son of Polly Gray. While his brother exited the series in 2017, Finn remained until its conclusion in 2022. His portrayal of Michael, who began as the family's legal brain before spiraling into a more ruthless figure, gave him a lasting mark in British television. From there, he expanded into international roles, starring in the American crime series Animal Kingdom (2016–2022), Dreamland (2019) and even appearing in F9 (2021) of the Fast and Furious franchise. Cole has largely kept his personal life private, giving few interviews and seldom appearing on the tabloid radar. As both actors continue to take on high-profile projects — with Cole recently appearing at the Thunderbolts premiere in support of Pugh — the intrigue around their relationship continues to grow. And while fans may keep watching for rings or red carpet appearances, perhaps what is most admirable is that the two seem content building their story far away from the spotlight, one quiet moment at a time.
