Joe Burrow's mom exposes his childhood obsession with fashion in new Netflix ‘Quarterback' teaser
Joe Burrow's talent on the football field is undeniable — a fierce competitor, unshakable in the pocket, and calm under pressure. But off the field, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback is drawing attention for another reason: his evolving fashion persona.
Fans and media can't stop buzzing about his sleek suits, bold choices, and confident presence. And as revealed in a new teaser for Season 2 of Netflix's Quarterback, this stylish side of Burrow isn't a recent development. It's something that's been in the making since his earliest years — and much of the credit goes to his mother, Robin Burrow.
Joe Burrow's hidden fashion side finally revealed in Netflix's 'Quarterback'—thanks to his mom
In a heartfelt and revealing moment from the series, Robin shares a glimpse into young Joe's early preferences.
'I mean, honestly, I feel like from the time he was kind of little, he was always a little bit particular about his clothes. He liked what he liked for sure,' she said. 'I think it's exciting that he shows his personality in those ways.'
This wasn't a case of a child being fussy about outfits — Joe's wardrobe choices were his way of expressing who he was. From colorful shirts to unique combinations, his fashion sense reflected the same confidence that would later define his game.

He didn't just wear clothes; he wore intention.
Quarterback: Season 2 | Joe Burrow | Sneak Peek | Netflix
That intentionality was nurtured early, thanks to Robin's professional background. 'My mom was in fashion merchandising when I was little, so she's already played a role in that,' Burrow said. 'She would always get me colorful shirts that I would like to wear.' Her understanding of trends and aesthetics undoubtedly rubbed off on young Joe, offering him both inspiration and support to be himself.
The Netflix series not only revisits Burrow's childhood fashion roots but also ties them to the bold persona we now see — whether he's walking into a stadium in designer wear or posing for magazine covers. Still, despite becoming a style figure in the NFL, Burrow has stayed grounded.
In a conversation with People, he admitted the fame attached to his appearance was never part of the plan. 'It's been interesting to see how the perception of me has changed over the years.
I never really felt that way about myself,' he said. 'And I wouldn't say when I was younger, other people felt that way about me either.'
Now a household name with a growing fanbase that admires both his game and his glam, Burrow remains humble. The quarterback might be redefining fashion in football, but his core — shaped by colorful shirts and a supportive mother — hasn't changed.
Quarterback Season 2, starring Joe Burrow, premieres Tuesday, July 8 on Netflix.

Dilip Kumar – A memory that will never fade: The soul of Indian cinema
It has been four years since the curtains fell on one of Indian cinema's brightest stars on July 7, 2021, yet the memory of Dilip Kumar remains etched in every heart that ever felt the magic of movies. For generations, he wasn't just an actor—he was THE actor. The one who redefined screen presence, emotion, dignity, and discipline in performance. Today, even as time continues to move forward, his legacy stands still—untouched and immortal. Saira Banu : A Love That Lives Beyond Time On his 4th death anniversary, Saira Banu, the woman who stood beside him through decades of love and devotion, shared a tear-streaked memory. 'I've learned to live with him, even in his absence,' she said. Saira Banu shared a heartfelt video featuring photos of Dilip Kumar from his iconic films and younger days. For the caption, she wrote, 'The dearth of Sahib could never go… and yet, I am still with him One in thought, in mind, in life. In this lifetime, and in the next, my soul has learnt to walk beside him even in his absence. Each year, this day finds me cradling Sahib's memories like delicate blossoms. His admirers, well-wishers, friends and family they never forget.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Luxury Apartments With Sundecks In Dombivli Lodha Opulis Learn More Undo 'Their messages of love and remembrance arrive like prayers, wrapped in warmth. And I read each one with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that the world still holds space for the man Sahib was and forever will be.' The veteran actress added, 'You see, Sahib wasn't just my life's greatest joy He was an entire era. An inspiration across six generations of actors and the guiding star for those yet to come. He was the finest companion to great statesmen Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Sahab, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sahab, Narasimha Rao Sahab and counted among his dearest friends some of the sharpest minds lawyers, economists, industrialists but never once was he removed from the common man's soul. ' 'He adored sports played cricket and football like he'd been born on the fieldand often said, 'If not destiny, I would have been a national-level sportsman.' But destiny had its own plans and gave the world the greatest actor of all time instead. Behind the icon, though, was a tender, charming, witty man. Sharing glimpses of his playful and tender nature, Saira recalled one particular evening when Dilip Sahib quietly slipped away from a gathering at home, leaving behind a simple, affectionate note: 'Feeling sleepy, what do you suggest, Aunty?... Yours 100%.' It's in these everyday moments, she said, that his love, wit, and unforgettable presence live on. Saira Banu concluded the note writing, 'He made the ordinary moments eternal. And through every jest, every note, every glance he left behind something rare: Love that lingers. Dilip Sahib is forever. Beyond time. Beyond life. May Allah continue to keep him wrapped in His noor and mercy. Aameen.' Dharmendra 's Tribute: A Brother in Arms Veteran actor Dharmendra, who always regarded Dilip Saab as an elder brother, also paid tribute, reminiscing about the wisdom and warmth he always found in Kumar's presence. He shared an unseen black-and-white photo featuring the two of them playing a game of arm wrestling on his Instagram handle today. Alongside the monochrome photo, the 'Dharam Veer' actor wrote, 'Today is such a heartbreaking and unforgettable day… On this very day, my dearest brother, everyone's beloved actor, the god of the film industry, a noble and great human being… Dilip Saheb… left us forever. This loss is unbearable, but I find some comfort in believing that he is still somewhere nearby.' The King Behind the Curtain: Tabassum's Unseen Dilip Kumar In a heartfelt, exclusive conversation, the late Tabassum Ji opened up about the side of Dilip Kumar very few got to witness. 'He wasn't just a superstar—he was family,' she said. One memory, vivid in her heart, took place at a lavish party hosted at his bungalow. While dignitaries dined in grandeur, the superstar chose to sit on the stairs with his young friend Tabassum, eating khichdi with pudina chutney alongside his staff. 'He treated everyone equally—whether it was a co-actor or a cook,' she said, voice trembling with emotion. His Urdu couplet choice— "Ek hi saf mein khade ho gaye Mahmood-o-Ayaz..." —wasn't a quote for effect, it was how he lived. Without ego. Without walls. Without illusions," concluded late Tabassum in an old interview. Framed! When legends come together The Silent Samaritan Behind his larger-than-life image stood a man whose charity never made headlines. He gave without asking for attention—distributing food, clothes, and money discreetly. The 'tragedy king' who moved millions to tears on screen, was off screen a king with a heart of gold—who smiled quietly while wiping others' tears. Nana Patekar: Lunch with a Legend For an actor like Nana Patekar, who has seen the highs and lows of the industry, meeting Dilip Kumar was no less than winning an Oscar. Recalling a memory, Nana once said, 'He invited me for lunch after I won the National Award. It was raining, I was drenched. He dried my hair and gave me his shirt.' The simplicity of the gesture revealed the depth of Dilip Kumar's grace—an elder who didn't act his kindness but lived it. A Torchbearer of Method Acting Long before 'method acting' became a buzzword in India, Dilip Kumar embodied it. Films like 'Devdas' , 'Mughal-e-Azam' , 'Ganga Jamuna' , and 'Naya Daur' showcased not just his versatility, but his unparalleled ability to feel the role. In 'Devdas' , he didn't just play a doomed lover—he became Devdas. In 'Ganga Jamuna' , he brought the Bhojpuri dialect and the angst of class struggle to the mainstream with raw authenticity. Directors molded scripts around him. Writers wrote with him in mind. He wasn't a part of cinema—he was cinema. Shah Rukh Khan : The Fan Who Became the Star Among the many touched by Dilip Kumar's genius was Shah Rukh Khan. A neighbour, a family friend, and an admirer, SRK's reverence for him was heartfelt. 'When I dreamt of becoming an actor, no one believed in me—except my mother. She would say, 'Ye Dilip Kumar banega',' Shah Rukh once shared emotionally on a talk show. After losing his parents, SRK often said he worked hard to become a star so that they could watch him from above. And in every tribute, every mention, he made it clear—Dilip Saab was not just his idol but an emotional connection to his roots and his dreams. Dilip Kumar's Cinema: The Blueprint of Bollywood His filmography is not just a list—it is the DNA of Hindi cinema. A Legacy That Lives On Dilip Kumar didn't just act in films—he shaped Indian cinema. His choices laid the foundation for meaningful storytelling. His emotional depth allowed the audience to find themselves in his roles. His humility gave stardom a new definition. Today, even in his absence, his presence is deeply felt—in every actor who mimics him, in every director who invokes his name, in every classic that continues to find new fans. He was not just the tragedy king. He was the crown jewel of Indian cinema. Dilip Kumar will never fade—because legends don't die, they simply become eternal.

'The helicopter, hands down': Charlize Theron as she shares her favourite stunt in The Old Guard 2
Washington DC [US], July 7 (ANI): Charlize Theron talked about her favourite stunt in the superhero film, 'The Old Guard 2', directed by Victoria Mahoney, reported Variety. "The helicopter, hands down," she said, adding, "We did it towards the end, and I was like, 'Oh, my God, if I pull this off, I'm gonna be okay with never doing a stunt again.' That didn't last long, but it was intricate. It was psychological. The first two weeks of it was sitting down with the pilot and building trust. It was slow moves. But by the end, I was hanging off a helicopter, so who cares?" While she was performing the scene, Theron said, "I was hanging in the air, going, 'I'm going to never be able to stop saying that I hung off a helicopter'," reported Variety. 'The Old Guard 2' is a 2025 superhero film directed by Victoria Mahoney, from a screenplay by Greg Rucka and Sarah L. Walker, based on the comic book series 'The Old Guard'. Serving as a sequel to the first film, the film stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo, and Chiwetel Ejiofor reprising their roles from the first film while Henry Golding and Uma Thurman join the cast. The Old Guard 2 was released on July 2 on Netflix. A third movie could also be in the works. Producer Marc Evans shared in May 2023, "There's an ending to No. 2 that kind of demands a No. 3, which makes me very happy," according to Variety. Theron, who also serves as a producer on the franchise, said, "We're going to take a break, take a little breather, and then we'll come back and decide." Theron, who is all set to begin shooting for Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," also said she plans to direct one day, "I've always kind of been interested, but I have young children, and to direct is very all consuming...I need my kids to get out of the house," reported Variety. Teddy Long Recalls the Story Regarding His Iconic Catchphrase on SmackDown
Image via WWE Teddy Long is one of the most well-known non-wrestling figures in the WWE . Initially starting his career as a referee in 1998, he later became the on-screen manager for Mark Henry. However, the WWE Hall of Famer is fondly remembered for his role as the SmackDown General Manager between 2006 and 2012. This was the time when The Undertaker was the top face on the brand and regularly competed in marquee matches. However, Long was famous for another reason. And that was interrupting a conversation or confrontation involving a top heel and pitting them against The Undertaker in a match. His famous catchphrase would be 'one-on-one with The Undertaker.' Moreover, this became the highlight of every edition of the show with the likes of Booker T, JBL, and MVP being the victims of the stipulation. And there is an interesting story behind its inception. The Story Behind Teddy Long's ' One on One With the Undertaker ' Catchphrase In a recent episode of the 'Road Trip After Hours' podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed the origin story of his famous catchphrase. Long mentioned that this idea was based on advice directly from former WWE CEO Vince McMahon . Long explained that it took place at the iconic Madison Square Garden arena when he heard Vince talking to Stephanie McMahon. 'Vince came out and he was talking to Stephanie… and he was telling everybody he wanted a little bit more emphasis on the name, you know, when she introduced him,' Long recalled. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo 'And I just overheard it, you know. And I didn't say a word, but I remembered it.' And later that night, Long was tasked with announcing The Undertaker for a regular outing. This is when he decided to implement his twist. "So when I went out that night to introduce The Undertaker, that's the first thing I remember. Vince wanted that, that high, you know, input. And so I said, 'One-on-one with The Undertaker!' you know." Teddy Long forces Superstars to go one-on-one with The Undertaker He added, "And I come back by, and he [Vince] looks at me, and he just thumbs up. And I, you know, I keep right on walking.
