Ahaan Panday's Saiyaara title track gets a Kishore Kumar-Amitabh Bachchan AI version; netizens say ‘Peheli bar AI ka…'

Hindustan Times20 hours ago
Since the past few weeks, the internet has been grooving to the melodious tunes of Mohit Suri's Saiyaara. Apart from Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's charismatic performances and sizzling onscreen chemistry, it was the soulful music of the romantic drama which truly connected with audiences. Especially the title track Saiyaara, helmed by Irshad Kamil, Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami, which is hauntingly beautiful and leaves a lasting impact. Well, an AI version of the song has now gone viral in late legend Kishore Kumar's voice. The track has been put in the backdrop of Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee's iconic song Rimjhim Gire Sawan from Manzil (1979). Saiyaara and the new AI track
Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee's Rimjhim Gire Sawan, helmed by Kishore Kumar, continues to be one of the most iconic tracks of Bollywood, with a rainy backdrop and love in the air. Well, in viral videos, we witness the two actors running around the streets of Mumbai, enjoying the monsoons, with a version of Saiyaara in the background which gives us a strong hit of old-school romance. Did Saiyaara need an AI version? Some believe it was unnecessary. But there are others who are enjoying a new song in Kishore Da's voice. It's like a tribute to Kishore Kumar on his birth anniversary today.
This new track has reportedly been created by musicians RJ Krishna and Anshuman Sharma. Well, some fans can't get enough. For instance, a social media user gushed, 'This is so soothing, at first I thought the Saiyaara song was rewritten. And I started to search the old saiyaara ❤️,' whereas another pointed out, 'Seriously man how is his voice so divine legit any song in his voice becomes million times better !' Another impressed netizen shared, 'Peheli bar ai ka sahi istemaal dekha hai… Saiyaara song is very good, Kishore Kumars voice makes it outstanding.'
However, some netizens were left deeply disappointed. One such comment on social media read, 'No bloody AI version can take the place of Rim Jhim gire sawan song. Anyone who attempted to do this is injustice and insult to the choreography Kishir da and many other artists,' whereas another wrote, 'Only true Kishor fans will not go 'wow' on this video effort. The original song + the video is a masterpiece. None can replace them even if may seem perfect fit for some n**bs.' A comment even read, 'Horrendous. Gods gift cannot be imitated till the end of this world. It's like trying to create a rainbow, a wind, a sunshine… nope! Don't look ugly in the name of intelligence.'
What are your thoughts on Saiyaara's AI version?

No bride, no groom. Guests are paying Rs 10k to attend fake weddings. Banker explains why this new party trend is booming in India

RECOMMENDED STORIES FOR YOU In a country where weddings are grand, emotional, and deeply personal, a bizarre new trend is turning that idea on its head. Fake weddings—yes, weddings with no actual couple—are becoming the hottest new party format among India's Gen Z. Investment banker Sarthak Ahuja recently broke it down in a viral LinkedIn post, revealing how event companies are cashing in on this concept by turning shaadis into ticketed, no-strings-attached to Ahuja, one such 'wedding' in Bengaluru drew over 2,000 attendees. Another in Delhi was organised on a Rs 10 lakh budget—and reportedly made more than Rs 10 lakh in profit. The concept is simple: people, especially young professionals living away from family in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, miss the fun parts of weddings—but not the nosy relatives, forced traditions, or behaviour-policing where fake weddings come in. Event organisers now host staged shaadis or sangeet nights where attendees buy tickets ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 15,000 per person (Rs 10,000 per couple as well). Guests are randomly assigned to the bride's or groom's side and play themed games like 'Guess the relative.'There's dhol, Bollywood dancing, a full buffet, and a chance to wear ethnic outfits that rarely leave wardrobes. And some organisers are now offering sober versions of these events to avoid alcohol-related trouble. It's also a clever way to monetise wedding venues during off-season months. Ahuja notes that Gen Z finds these faux ceremonies a fun alternative to real ones, where social pressure often dampens the vibe. At a fake wedding, there's freedom, music, food, and no stress of actual commitments—just pure celebration. What a time to be alive, indeed.

Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Siddhant Chaturvedi And Triptii Dimri's Film Earns Less Than Rs 2 Crore On First Monday

New Delhi: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's Dhadak 2 saw a dip in its box office collection on its first Monday. On day 4, the movie earned Rs 1.40 crore in the domestic market, according to a Sacnilk report. The film had an overall 14.26% Hindi occupancy on August 4. With this, Dhadak 2 's total collection now stands at Rs 12.80 crore. The film is facing stiff competition at the box office from other titles like Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, the animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara and Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom. In terms of numbers, Saiyaara holds a strong lead. The film, which hit the theatres on July 18, is having a phenomenal run at the box office. More than two weeks into its release, the film raked in Rs 2.50 crore on its third Monday. The numbers swiftly outpaced Dhadak 2 's four-day collection. As per Sacnilk, Saiyaara 's total collection stands at Rs 302.25 crore. Dhadak 2 narrates the story of a romance between two law students, Neelesh and Vidhi, who face opposition and harassment from society due to their caste differences. In an interview with PTI, Triptii Dimri talked about the film's message. The actress said, "It should reach the maximum audience because it's entertaining and also leaves a little note, so that is something which we are constantly looking for. We found that equilibrium... There is something real and sensitive about it ('Dhadak 2'). All of these guys have more responsibility, and they are very well aware of that. That's why they have been very quiet about everything, like while we were shooting for the film, even the censor board issues, we never spoke about anything." Dhadak 2 is directed by Shazia Iqbal. The film is a sequel to Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor's debut film Dhadak.
