Kacey Musgraves reveals if she's really quit weed for good
The 36-year-old country star sang about "getting rid" of certain habits in her 2024 track 'Deeper Well' and later said in an interview that she weed was "not for this chapter" of her life, but now she's clarified her stance.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: 'Um, I never said I don't ever partake.
'I just don't wake up and hit a gravity bong the size of my face anymore, which is what I did for a long time.
"But, hey, more power to whatever suits you.'
In her 2013 track 'Follow Your Arrow', she urged listeners to "kiss lots of boys, or kiss lots of girls", and "roll up a joint, or don't".
The song's referencing to homosexuality and cannabis sparked controversy among the country music scene's more conservative circles.
She recalled: "Oh my gosh, it was so controversial. I was told not to [release the song] and all these reasons why."
She added: "It ended up tanking — it was banned by country radio. But I would never trade that for the love and the people it brought to my world.
"I'm not going to present a watered-down version of myself to be accepted. I'll f****** shovel s*** for a living at a horse barn, and I'll be really happy. Or I'll just be a songwriter. Anyway, it ended up working out."
Last year, Kacey told The Cut that she was leaving her stoner persona behind.
She quipped: "It's not for this chapter. Maybe later, when I'm a 60-year-old lady with nothing to do and I'm just doing pottery all day, maybe. We'll see."
Meanwhile, the 'Rainbow' hitmaker also reflected on the fallout of her divorce 2020 divorce from Ruston Kelly, and subsequent romance with now-ex boyfriend Cole Shafer, which she shared a lot on Instagram.
She said: 'I don't regret living and loving as hard as I do. Whenever I'm in a relationship, I'm all f****** in.
"I think that hesitancy breeds hesitancy, and if you go in with something with one foot, it's going to fail.
'After divorce, it's like on one hand I do want to self-protect, but at the same time, if your heart is feeling open, I think you have to just show up for it. I'm still trying to figure out the balance of that.'

Logan Lerman disappointed by idols
Logan Lerman has been disappointed by some of his idols. The 33-year-old actor has previously been upset after getting the chance to meet actors he admired and finding out they were 'a*******' but he was thrilled to discover that Martin Short was as wonderful in real life as he is on screen, when they worked on Only Murders in the Building. He told The Hollywood Reporter: 'It's scary to meet someone you love so much because they can ruin their entire filmography for you by being an a******. That's happened to me, and those people shall remain nameless, but meeting Martin made me love his work even more.' Logan's next movie is Oh, Hi! with Molly Gordon and he estimates he spent about 100 hours in bed during filming as his character spends most of the movie handcuffed to his love interest's bed frame. He said: 'When I first read the script, I did wonder how we'd make it work, energy-wise, but I saw it came down to the bed frame and how much movement it allowed. Once we figured that out, I'd just show up to work and hop into bed. 'The hardest part was knowing I had to be naked every day - and look the same every day. That took more effort, especially toward the end of the shoot.'

Zoe Saldana has joined Cartier as a brand ambassador. The 47-year-old actress has been collaborating with the French jewellery for years now, and the company has described the development as an "exciting new chapter". Cartier's chief marketing officer Arnaud Carrez told WWD: "[Her appointment] celebrates a relationship that has grown over many years and marks an exciting new chapter — one defined by shared creativity and bold expression. 'Her talent, grace and effortless elegance have long resonated with the maison.' The brand added that this culmination of their past collaborations represents "a shared bold creativity". Meanwhile, Zoe is "honoured" to be taking on a greater role with the company. She said: 'I am honored to become an ambassador for Cartier, following many years of warm collaboration. 'I have long been an admirer of the maison's boundary-breaking savoir faire that creates incredible pieces of wearable art, and I look forward to continuing this special relationship.' When it comes to her beauty approach, Zoe recently admitted she's a "sucker" for lip plumpers, and she usually keeps at least "four or five" lip glosses in her hand bag at all times. When asked to list the contents of her purse, she told The Hollywood Reporter: "[There's] at least four or five lip glosses. In the early 2000s and I was introduced to lip plumpers. I am a sucker for them. "I love anything that makes my lips feel tingly! And moisturizer. California can be a really dry place. We love the sun, but there's the perils of sunny California means that your lips are sometimes on the dry side. I like to have a variation of a moisturizer." Zoe previously revealed one of her favourite lip products is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. In a video filmed for Vogue India, she explained: "My lips are always chapped so right now I'm using a really good lip balm."

Tim Burton addresses Beetlejuice 3 reports
Tim Burton has insisted "nobody told him" about plans for Beetlejuice 3. The 66-year-old filmmaker - who directed the original 1988 comedy horror classic and its 2024 sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - has played down speculation that a third movie is definitely on the cards. Earlier this year, Warner Bros Pictures co-chairman/CEO Mike De Luca insisted development on Beetlejuice 3 was "imminent". Upon hearing this, Burton told The Hollywood Reporter: "Really? Nobody told me. Maybe I've been replaced." Jenna Ortega, who appeared in the second film last year, quipped: "Maybe I've been, too. Maybe [her character] Astrid dies and goes to heaven instead [of the films' Netherworld]. "They should just take Baby Beetlejuice on tour and send him to Hawaii." Burton pointed out that there was well over three decades between the first two films in the franchise - which stars Michael Keaton as the wisecracking ghoul - and joked "the odds are not good" for a follow-up any time soon. He said: "It took 35 years to make the second one, so by that time I'll be 105. I know those odds are not good. "I really, really enjoyed making this one, and [Warner Bros.] didn't even really want to do it. "We did it the same way I did the first one, with the actors doing improv. It was beautiful to see some of the old cast and have Jenna. "But it's like trying to re-create the Wednesday dance scene. I love the characters, but I don't necessarily see it." Burton also seemed to shrug off the idea of another director taking over the project, insisting he does feel an ownership over his projects. He added: "I feel very proprietary about everything I do, even if I don't own the characters. "When they did the [Beetlejuice Broadway musical], I got p*****." Meanwhile, Ortega noted she would "never" want to return to the Beetlejuice world without Burton steering the ship. She said: "Oh, I would never. I also think anybody would be really wrong to get behind that project. "Without him involved, what is it? It is what it is because of Tim. "There's no other film you can compare Beetlejuice to. So why would you do that? That would be a tad disrespectful." Back in April, Warner Bros executive De Luca claimed plans were moving along for sequels for both Minecraft and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. He told Deadline: "Imminently. The ink might not be dry on the deals yet, but imminently." De Luca insisted the studio was looking to capitalise on both film's success. He explained: "To have two franchises emerge from our leadership team with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Minecraft, I feel like we're ahead of schedule. "Now we're trying to step on the gas, to double, to quadruple that kind of success."
