Lightyear, 5.40pm, BBC One
This is the film that (fictionally) inspired the Buzz Lightyear toy in Toy Story – but Pixar's 2022 meta-animation takes a different trajectory to its forebear, visually and comedically. We meet space ranger Buzz (voiced by Chris Evans) as his mistake leads his spaceship to crash on a dangerous planet. Test-flights of a new hyperdrive lead to time dilation, so his ground crew age more quickly than him. Then Emperor Zurg appears … Buzz here is smarter than his plastic avatar, and the action is in the stars not the suburbs, but it retains that Pixar focus on the strength of family. Simon Wardell

Who is Reggie, the Lionesses' unofficial 'emotional support dog'?
England's social media accounts have released videos of the team spending time with Reggie After a nailbiting but victorious penalty shootout against Sweden, and an eleventh-hour comeback to beat Italy, the Lionesses are through to the final of Women's Euro 2025. As England gear up to face old foes Spain on Sunday, it seems one furry friend could be their secret weapon - Reggie the Cavapoo. Videos shared by England's official social media accounts have shown players spending time with the pup, and taking him for walks at training camps. But who is he - and how has he become England 's unofficial mascot? Reggie the Cavapoo belongs to the owner of Cheals on Wheels, a mobile barista bar accompanying the Lionesses on their Euros campaign in Switzerland. Posting on Instagram, the company wrote: "He's joined the Lionesses in Switzerland, soaking up all the love (and sneaky treats) from the team. "Always the star of the show wherever he goes - even on tour!" Following England's win against Italy on Tuesday, midfielder Keira Walsh spoke about how Reggie has supported the team. "We have a coffee dog that helps," she said. "I think most of the girls spend their time with him. "I don't think he realises how much he's helped us. When we won the game, he came into the meal room afterwards, and we were all so happy to see him. "So I think he's definitely been helping the most, it's fair to say." Forward Chloe Kelly also sang Reggie's praises. "He's a cute dog, and he's been at a lot of camps throughout the year," she said. But Kelly admitted she had no plans to take Reggie for a walk, fearing she'd end up missing her own dog too much. The final of UEFA Women's Euro 2025 will be shown on Sunday at 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

The soap star went on to have chemotherapy as well as undergoing a left breast mastectomy and a reconstruction. Heather took to Instagram on Thursday to update her fans on her journey, writing: "Final round of 15 radio therapy sessions just completed. "This marked the end of long 9 months of diagnosis, surgery, chemo and radio. "Time to piece myself back together. Thanks for all the beautiful support. #checkyourbreasts #breastcancerawareness". Fans flooded with comments of admiration and support, with one writing: "What an amazing woman. Her sheer will and determination to keep filming whilst battling this awful disease has been unbelievable." Another added: "What a legend, wishing her all the best in her recovery." A third penned: "As someone going through a similar diagnosis, seeing Heather on the other side of treatment is incredibly inspiring." Just as she was about to begin radiotherapy, Heather revealed the heartbreaking news last week that her wife Ellie has also been diagnosed with the disease. She told the Mirror: 'Her breast cancer was a smaller, aggressive lump, so she had a lumpectomy and then radiotherapy. EastEnders' Eve actress Heather Peace shares snaps from her very different job off screen "Of course, then I come along with my 12cm lump, absolutely ginormous, and mastectomy, chemotherapy, just about to go into radiotherapy. "She's like 'Even that you have to do bigger.' It's like 'Hold my beer.'" This comes after the star revealed decided to continue filming for her dramatic wedding scenes just hours after her cancer diagnosis. Her character was embroiled in dramatic scenes, which included her wedding to Suki Panesar as well as being poisoned by Suki's ex-husband Nish Panesar. 5 Revealing why she decided to continue working, she told Gaby Roslin on her podcast that she wanted to film the important scenes because she feared she would die. The former Waterloo Road star expressed: 'We got back to Brighton at 7 o'clock, and I was on the road at 10 past five that morning, to Elstree, to start possibly the two biggest weeks that I've done on EastEnders.' Heather explained that she had told bosses about her diagnosis and was told she didn't need to come in while she was taking in the life-changing news as well as undergoing treatment. 'I said 'I need to come in' because at this point I don't know what's going to happen,' she continued. 'And I want to finish this arc of the story. Not coming in for the next two weeks is not going to change anything, but at least let me put the full stop on a story that's been playing out for nearly two and a half years. 'If we get to the end of that and we see them get married and we see them successful, if beyond that it's a mess, I can leave and feel like I've put a full stop on something." 5 The soap star revealed she has completed 15 rounds of chemo Credit: Instagram

Death in Paradise fans issue demand as Josephine Jobert's exit explained
Josephine Jobert has portrayed DS Florence Cassell on the BBC One detective drama Death in Paradise since 2015, and has been sorely missed by fans since her exit BBC One's tropical detective series Death in Paradise has waved goodbye to a host of beloved characters over the years, with Josephine Jobert being among them. She first graced the show in 2015 and exited in 2019, only to reappear in seasons 10 and 11, and then surprisingly in 2024 when her character stepped out of witness protection. In an intimate video message to her followers, Josephine shared the reasons behind her initial exit, citing personal and professional grounds while reassuring fans that there was "nothing dramatic" about her decision. She expressed: "Everything is fine it's just that I've been working on Death in Paradise for five years. I loved every minute of it." She continued: "I'm going to miss the show, I'm going to miss Toby and Ardal and Shyko and everyone so it's been a tough decision, but that's life." Josephine, who thought she had left the sandy shores of Saint Marie for good, found herself irresistibly pulled back into the fold, as she confessed to Hello! regarding her season 10 comeback, reports Wales Online. "I already left in series eight, I thought it would be for good, honestly, I thought, 'I'm done,'" she disclosed. "Then they asked me back for series ten as I was like, 'Hmmm I don't know, okay I'm going to do it.' But I knew it wouldn't be forever, I knew it. How long, I didn't know. I had an idea, but I wasn't sure." However, the third episode of the tenth series, titled Lucky in Love, originally aired in 2021 and will be rebroadcast at 9pm tonight on BBC One. The synopsis of the episode reads: "It seems money doesn't buy happiness when lottery winner Cherry is found dead at her luxurious villa, much to the horror of her husband and their visiting friends." The plot thickens as Neville and his team are faced with a puzzling case: no one was present in the house at the time of the murder, and the victim's body mysteriously disappears. It continues: "Meanwhile, JP is training unruly new officer Marlon, aware that his wife Rosey is due to give birth at any time." Furthermore, she teased the prospect of joining the spin-off series, Beyond Paradise, revealing that it was a topic she had broached with the producer. "We'll see if that will happen. But I would love to anyway. It would be a very nice wink," she hinted. Fans have been flocking to social media to praise the French actress's performance in Death in Paradise. A Reddit user said, "She's the heart and soul of the show; it's never quite the same without her." Another penned: "I always Hoped she would have a turn being detective after being promoted." While a third weighed in with their thoughts: "I really miss her, honestly. While I do like Naomi, I really would have loved if Florence had become the first non-English DI in the show; especially with her experience and smarts." Death in Paradise airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
