We know, we know. It's not a spring chicken anymore, so it sounds a tad bit strange to promote an older model. However, a new limited-time deal at Woot brings this handsome fella to just $349.99, which is a steal, considering it would have set you back around $1,100 when it was just released. This means you'll score a whopping $750 in savings if you take advantage of this offer. It's worth noting that this is also the biggest discount we've seen for this particular make and model. While Woot often has it on sale, the price cut usually hovers around $700. So, Lady Luck is giving you a chance to grab a speedy Pixel phone for next to nothing, especially when you factor in all the bells and whistles it comes with.In addition to boasting 512GB of storage, which should be sufficient for most people, its Tensor G2 chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM still offers good performance. You shouldn't experience any stutters and should be able to run most apps without issues. That said, you might notice a drop in performance if you run demanding tasks on it. After all, the chipset isn't exactly new. It's no secret, though, that the biggest selling point of Pixel phones has always been their camera capabilities, and theis no exception. Its 50MP main camera, complemented by Google's image-processing magic, lets it capture highly detailed images with vibrant colors. Additionally, the phone features a beautiful 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 3120 x 1440 resolution and HDR support, allowing you to enjoy your pictures in stunning quality.Overall, thepacks impressive value at just $349.99. With reliable performance, a brilliant display, and top-tier cameras, it checks all the right boxes. So, don't miss out—get yours today!

Ai+ will launch its smartphones on July 8
We've been aware of the new Ai+ smartphone brand for some time now. It is part of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, led by Realme India's former CEO, Madhav Sheth. All of its products, at least the ones being teased for now, are designed and built in India and will be exclusively sold through Flipkart. The fog of mystery is slowly lifting from the upcoming device lineup, and thanks to a few posts on the company's official Twitter, a Flipkart page and an insider leak, we now have the clearest picture yet. Apparently, the initial launch is scheduled to take place on July 8 in India, as previously expected. The Flipkart exclusive partnership hasn't changed, and neither has the suggested starting price of just INR 5000 ($59/€50). Allegedly, that price was supposed to be for the so-called AI+ Nova 2 5G, which was exclusively leaked to us a while back. Ai+ posts Why Nova 2? Well. We aren't quite sure, frankly, nor is the name set in stone as far as the earlier leak goes, but the new sources only mention an Ai+ Nova 5G moniker instead. Apparently, it will be based on the Unisoc T8200 (6nm) chipset, have a 50MP main camera, expandable storage and a 5,000 mAh battery. Then there is the Ai+ Pulse 4G. According to new sources, it will be a 4G device, featuring the Unisoc T7250 (12nm) chipset and the same 50MP main camera, expandable storage, and 5,000 mAh battery as its Nova 5G sibling. This makes us think that the 4G-only Pulse will probably be the cheapest of the bunch, starting at just INR 5000 and not the Nova 5G, but we'll have to wait and see. There have been two distinct back designs for AI+ phones shared so far, and we believe that the Pulse features a rectangular secondary camera, while the Nova has two round ones. ✅ Officially confirmed : Ai+ smartphones are launching on : 8th July in 🇮🇳Will be under 10K !Ai Nova 5G : likely : Unisoc T8200 (6nm)Ai Pulse 4G : likely : Unisoc T7250 (12nm)Both:• 50MP 📸 • Expandable storage These are designed & made in 🇮🇳 with focus on privacy! — Debayan Roy (Gadgetsdata) (@Gadgetsdata) June 28, 2025 As mentioned, AI+ phones will be designed and built in India. The brand also boasts that it will utilize a significant amount of reclaimed and recycled materials. The brand previously confirmed that AI+ smartphones will run NxtQuantum OS, which, it says, "has been uniquely designed by Indian engineers, offering a user-friendly interface optimized for the Indian market." Additionally, AI+ stated that the NxtQuantum OS, running on its smartphones, is "auditable, policy-aligned, and governed by Indian law." The brand also claimed that "all user data is stored within India on MeitY-approved servers hosted by Google Cloud." The brand is also expected to launch a smartwatch with built-in TWS earphones. An image of the smartwatch's retail box, which we exclusively shared earlier this month, revealed that it would be called "wearbuds Watch 3." We were told AI+ would unveil the smartwatch alongside its smartphones. Source 1 | Source 2 | Source 3

EU country asks Apple and Google to remove AI app from their app storefronts
Back in January, the AI world was buzzing about China's DeepSeek AI. The Large Language Model (LLM) was trained for a comparatively low cost of $5.6 million using approximately 2,000 Nvidia H800 GPUs. That is a small percentage of the amount of money spent by OpenAI and Google to develop their LLM models like ChatGPT and Gemini, respectively. For a brief period of time, DeepSeek became the number one free app in the U.S. App Store surpassing the previous leader, AI LLM app ChatGPT. However, it soon become known that answers were regulated by the Chinese government especially if the response to a query could make China and its government look bad. Additionally, DeepSeek's own privacy policy revealed that DeepSeek keeps user's personal data, including user prompts and uploaded files, on servers in China. The country's intelligence laws allow the government to access these files. Today, Germany's top data protection regulator demanded that Apple and Google remove the DeepSeek app from the App Store and Google Play Store respectively. Meike Kamp, Germany's data protection commissioner, said that she made the request to Apple and Google because DeepSeek transfers users' personal data to China illegally. -Meike Kamp, Germany's data protection commissioner Italy and South Korea have already had the DeepSeek app removed from local app stores and in the Netherlands the app has been removed from government devices. But what happens next in Germany? Apple and Google will review the request from Kamp's team and decide whether they should remove the app from the German App Store or Play Store. Kamp's office did not give Apple or Google a specific deadline as to when the two tech firms have to reach a decision about the DeepSeek app. The DeepSeek app for iOS. | Image credit-PhoneArena Also concerning to U.S. and European lawmakers is an exclusive report from Reuters that says China's military and intelligence operations are being aided by DeepSeek. Commissioner Kamp first gave DeepSeek the opportunity in May to meet the requirements for non-EU data transfers or voluntarily withdraw its app. DeepSeek did not comply with the request. In the U.S., lawmakers plan to introduce a bill that would prevent U.S. executive agencies from using any AI models developed in China. These AI models would include DeepSeek. Right now, those in the U.S. can still install DeepSeek from the App Store for iOS or the Play Store for Android." Secure your connection now at a bargain price! T-Mobile-owned MVNO reminds its iPhone subscribers to update in order to use RCS
Before Apple released iOS 18.4 in late March, only iPhone handsets connected to major U.S. carriers offered Rich Communication Services (RCS) as a messaging option for iOS users. For those unaware, RCS is the messaging platform that gives Android users many of the same features that iPhone users get when chatting with fellow iOS users with the Messages app. That means RCS brings to Android users: The ability to send longer messages. High-resolution photos and videos. Typing Indicators. Read Receipts. Ability to share larger files. Wi-Fi and Data connectivity. Of course, Apple being Apple, at first it wouldn't allow iPhone users to use RCS when messaging Android users on the RCS platform. Despite Google constantly attacking Apple asking it to support RCS, it took the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) legislation to make Apple feel as though it had no choice but to support RCS. As we noted, originally only the three major stateside carriers offered iPhone users the ability to use RCS when chatting with Android owners. Once Apple released iOS 18 .4, several T-Mobile MVNOs started hooking up their iPhone users with RCS compatibility, and one of these firms, Mint Mobile, has begun sending emails to its subscribers urging them to make sure that their iPhones are running at least iOS 18 .4. One important feature of RCS not available yet for cross-platform RCS messaging is end-to-end encryption. Currently, in-transit encryption is available for all messages sent over RCS including cross-platform chats. This means that your chats are encrypted as they travel over the internet between your device and RCS servers preventing your messages from getting intercepted by someone "listening in" on the network. Mint Mobile promotes RCS for its subscribers. | Image credit-Mint Mobile Google has always offered end-to-end-encryption (E2EE) on Android-to-Android messaging as long as both sides used Google Messages. Apple has always offered E2EE on messaging between iOS users. With both Apple and Google committed to eventually offering end-to-end encryption on cross-platform RCS messaging, the iOS Messages app and iMessage will soon no longer be a major selling point for phone buyers. During the Epic Games v. Apple lawsuit, internal Apple emails from Craig Federighi, Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, indicated that the company considers iMessage a good reason why parents should buy their kids an iPhone. The emails from Federighi also claimed that the Messages app and iMessage were big reasons why consumers want to stay inside the Apple ecosystem. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!
