It was a cool close range finish at the end of a good team move, suggesting his form and belief in himself is back after his goal at Leicester.
His celebration after indicates just as much.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, and the striker will be hoping to be more and more like Ronaldo in front of goal as he looks to kick on for both club and country.

Barcelona reach Marcus Rashford salary breakthrough with Manchester United
Barcelona are closing in on a deal to bring Marcus Rashford to the club following fresh talks with Manchester United. Widespread reports across the last 48 hours in the UK and Spain have indicated Barcelona agreed a deal to sign Rashford from United. with the 27-year-old attacker arriving in Catalonia on a season-long loan that includes an option to buy, believed to be in the region of €30-35m. Barcelona have stepped up their pursuit of Rashford in the last week following a mixed summer in the the transfer market. Rashford will offer vital cover on the left wing for Barcelona, after the club had previously chased deals for Nico Williams and Luis Diaz. He is expected to fly into Catalonia imminently and will then complete his medical and sign all appropriate documents over the coming days – If the process moves as smoothly as the club hope, Hansi Flick can include him in his squad for their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea. One major source of excitement for Barcelona is the speculation over what number Rashford will wear with Mundo Deportivo claiming he has three choices: 14, 19 and 22 – this is because first team registered players are only able to choose from numbers 1-25. The deal reached a vital climax following a fresh round of discussions between the two clubs and a key concession from Barcelona. Despite their ongoing financial issues, Barcelona are willing to bankroll a move for Rashford, and reports from The Times claim they will cover his full wages as part of the loan. The Red Devils had set out their position over demanding a 100% coverage at the start of the summer but Barcelona had previously rejected that. A move closer to United's demands was viewed as the only route to wrapping up an agreement and Rashford has been sealed his dream move.

Marcus Rashford roasted by ESPN pundit amid reported Barcelona transfer
Marcus Rashford will reportedly spend the 2025-26 season on loan with FC Barcelona. After leaving Manchester United last winter transfer window to join Aston Villa on loan, it was clear that his future wouldn't continue at Old Trafford. After not staying with Aston Villa past his loan stint, the question surrounding Rashford is where he would play. Rashford showed signs of returning to form, tallying four goals and six assists in 17 total appearances for Aston Villa. Instead of staying in the Premier League, though, Rashford is reportedly on his way to Spain to play for another prominent European club, Barcelona. Nonetheless, for ESPN FC's Steve Nicol, it's not a move that the attacker deserves. MORE:Marcus Rashford's update triggers teammates reaction amid Barcelona's latest move "The one thing that I don't like about it is it gives you a bad taste in your mouth because professional football is the—it's a tough business," Nicol said on Saturday's edition of ESPN FC. "But you know what? Sometimes you got to earn your luck, and he hasn't earned it. He's a lucky, lucky boy. "From a professional point of view, he doesn't deserve this. He doesn't deserve to be going to a great club like Barcelona, the way he's conducted himself over the last 12 months. Even when he went to Villa, as Craig said, he wasn't particularly great." Moreover, Nicol noted that Rashford hasn't improved his conduct on and off the field to earn another move to a club that's at the level of Manchester United in terms of prestige and popularity. "Can we sit here and say, 'You know what? Marcus Rashford has done everything to try and make himself on the field a success with either Aston Villa or Manchester United—maybe a little bit more Villa, but with Manchester United.' And it's 100% no," Nicol added. "He absolutely has done all the wrong things, has said all the wrong things, has acted in the wrong manner, has been unprofessional—been in Ireland the night before training." It will be interesting to see if Rashford, should his move to Barcelona become official, can find his 2022-23 form in which he scored 30 goals and posted 12 assists in 56 total appearances for Manchester United.

Valencia table offer for Barcelona star
Barcelona this week received a transfer offer on the part of La Liga rivals Valencia for a member of the club's attacking ranks. The player in question? Pau Víctor. Frontman Víctor has of course seen his future in Catalunya's capital thrown ever further over the course of the last 24 hours. This comes after Barcelona closed an agreement with Manchester United over the signing of Marcus Rashford. Víctor, already considered as on the exit ramp at the Camp Nou, has therefore been pushed ever closer to a departure. Those of a Blaugrana persuasion will therefore no doubt be interested to learn that their side actually rejected an approach for the 23-year-old just this week. As per a report from , during a meeting a couple of days ago: 'Valencia put on the table a loan proposal accepting different penalty clauses in case the striker did not accumulate minutes in the First Division.' Barcelona chief Deco, however, made clear that the club are only open to a permanent sale at present. Conor Laird – GSFN
