In an age when actors are constantly chasing visibility, Vaani Kapoor stands out for doing just the opposite. With just over a dozen titles like Shuddh Desi Romance, Befikre, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Raid 2 to her name in a career that spans more than a decade, Vaani has opted for quality over quantity—strategically choosing roles that challenge her, excite her, and help her grow. Her latest outing,, marks herand might just be one of her most transformative performances yet.Looking at her filmography, it's easy to wonder why an actor of Vaani's caliber hasn't done more films. But for her, the answer is simple: she's deliberate, not hesitant. 'Whatever has come my way, I have tried to pick the best out of that lot. It's not easy. It's not like I'm waking up with the best filmmakers sending me their scripts. You have to earn it. No matter what people say, I find myself very lucky. I'm grateful that a studio likebacked me. But even then, I had to audition and prove my worth. They only chose me after multiple auditions. My journey hasn't been very easy. I have made very little money. I support myself, I support my family. One can always feel selfish and say, 'Let's do it for the money.' But I'm lucky—my family has never burdened me with that pressure. Nobody's said, 'Do this because we need you to.' I'm very grateful to the support system I have, whether it's my family or my agency. When it comes to picking films, that's one thing I don't want to compromise on, I will work more with brands and endorsements etc."

Son of Sardaar 2 box office collection day 4: Ajay Devgn's comedy earns Rs 27 cr; Raid 2 made more in just two days
Vijay Kumar Arora, the director of Son of Sardaar 2, recently won a National Award for the Best Punjabi Film for his 2023 comedy Godday Godday Cha. But his latest film is struggling at the domestic box office, despite being a Hindi tentpole starring Ajay Devgn and the sequel of the actor's 2012 blockbuster comedy. On its first Monday, Son of Sardaar 2 saw a massive drop and earned only Rs 2.5 crore. It was a significant decline from its already low Sunday collection of Rs 9.25 crore, a slight improvement on its Saturday earnings of Rs 8.25 crore, another marginal increase from its opening day (Friday) collection of Rs 7.25 crore. As per industry Sacnilk, the current box office collection of Son of Sardaar 2 in India stands at Rs 27.25 crore. This pales in comparison to the extended opening weekend earnings of Devgn's last release, Raj Kumar Gupta's crime thriller Raid 2, another sequel. Raid 2 earned more in two days than what Son of Sardaar 2 could in four days. The first four-day collection of the former was Rs 71.25 crore. Not just Raid 2, but Son of Sardaar 2 can't even hold its own in front of other holdover Hindi releases. It earned even less than Mohit Suri's romantic drama Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, which collected Rs 2.5 crore on its third Monday (day 18) at the domestic box office. Similarly, on its second Monday, Ashwin Kumar's mythological animated film Mahavatar Narsimha earned Rs 8 crore. more than thrice of what Son of Sardaar 2 did on the same day. The only Hindi film Devgn's comedy could surpass was Shazia Iqbal's romantic drama Dhadak 2, another sequel, to Shashank Khaitan's 2018 hit Dhadak. The sequel, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, earned only Rs 1.4 crore on its first Monday, its first four-day collection rounding off to Rs 13 crore, less than half of that of Son of Sardaar 2. While Son of Sardaar 2 will face fresh competition from another comedy, Umesh Shukla's Heer Express, starting this Friday, it needs to do something out of the box to sustain, let alone increase, its momentum. Even tempting offers like 50% discount and 'buy one, get one' on tickets could help neither this film nor Dhadak 2, thanks to the Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha wave. The story revolved around Jaswinder 'Jassi' Singh Randhawa (Devgn), who returns to his village in Punjab after spending years in London to sell ancestral property, after which things take an unexpected turn. The film emerged as a box office hit and grossed Rs 161.48 crore with its worldwide collection. The sequel also stars Mrunal Thakur, Vindu Dara Singh, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, and Kubbra Sait among others.

Tamannaah Bhatia Swears By Morning 'Thook' For Pimples, Fans Say ‘It Actually Works'
Last Updated: Tamannaah Bhatia says she uses morning spit on her face to prevent pimples before brushing. Social media reacts, some call it effective, others call it risky. Tamannaah Bhatia, fondly known as the 'Milky Beauty' in the South Indian film industry, has always left fans curious about the secret behind her flawless skin. Recently, she made a surprising revelation that's left the internet buzzing. In an interaction with The Lallantop, Tamannaah shared a rather unconventional skincare ritual: she uses her morning saliva on her face to avoid pimples and it must be done before brushing her teeth. When Tamannaah casually mentioned this morning ritual during the interview, the room collectively gasped. Even the host appeared visibly stunned. 'Before brushing, just thook (spit)," she laughed, leaving everyone in splits. But she was serious and it turns out she's not alone in this. As clips from the interview went viral, many social media users came forward to agree with Tamannaah's unique hack. One fan commented, 'I thought I was the only one doing that," while another added, 'She is true, using this hack since years." Some even claimed the method works for eye infections as well, citing old household remedies. 'The saliva immediately after you wake up… use it for eye infection… it works there too," read one comment. However, not everyone is convinced. Several users raised concerns about the scientific validity of the trick. One sceptical user explained, 'Saliva does have antibacterial enzymes, but they are not strong enough to treat acne-causing bacteria effectively. Pimples are caused by more than just bacteria—clogged pores, excess oil, and inflammation play a big part. Saliva doesn't fix those." Despite the polarising opinions, the conversation sparked by Tamannaah's beauty secret has been an interesting mix of surprise, nostalgia, and debate. Whether you believe in the 'morning spit remedy" or not, it certainly makes for a memorable skincare confession. On the work front, Tamannaah was recently seen grooving to the track Nasha from Raid 2. She will next be seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Ranger. Additionally, she is also working on TVF's ambitious mythological project Vvan alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
