The post has triggered a flurry of reactions, with many users expressing their concerns over rising racism and safety issues in Europe and the West.
"Hi Daksh. I've read many stories about Ireland recently and I always used to think this situation will implode. However, would suggest you not speak so openly about it while you're still there, for obvious reasons," one user wrote.

The X post comes days after an Indian citizen in his 40s was violently assaulted and partially stripped by a group of attackers in Tallaght, Dublin. The man was falsely accused of being a paedophile before being stabbed in the face and stripped naked, according to the woman who rescued him. The case is being investigated by the Gardai (Irish National Police) as a possible hate crime.

Congress leader arrested in Rs 4.5 crore property fraud case in Thiruvananthapuram
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Ananthapuri Manikandan has been arrested in connection with a high-value property fraud case involving forged documents and the illegal transfer of real estate in the city. Manikandan was arrested by the Museum Police on Tuesday morning from Bengaluru, where he had been hiding for several weeks. The case pertains to the alleged fraudulent acquisition and sale of a 10-room three-storeyed house and 14 cents of land in Jawahar Nagar, valued at approximately Rs 4.5 crore. The property originally belonged to Dora, an Indian-American doctor. It had been gifted to her by her parents before she moved abroad over two decades ago. According to police, fake documents were used to claim that the original property deed was lost. A newspaper advertisement was also published to support this claim. Vasantha, a woman from Mukkolakkal, is alleged to have impersonated Dora and she gave the property to another woman, Merin from Kollam, who posed as the foster daughter of Dora's parents. Merin then sold the property for Rs 1.5 crore to Chandrasenan, the father-in-law of local Congress leader Anil Thampi. The fraudulent registration was carried out at the Sasthamangalam sub-registrar office. Officials from the office have confirmed that Manikandan appeared in person to facilitate the transaction. Police also tracked down the Aadhaar number used in the documentation. Manikandan, a DCC member, is the main accused in the case. His brother and fifth accused, E Mahesh, was arrested last week. Police say Mahesh's credentials were used for the e-stamp and registration formalities though Manikandan holds a licence. Two women who were part of the fraud were arrested earlier. Their statements reportedly revealed that they acted under Manikandan's instructions. A copy of the forged deed was found from his office. Further investigation is under way.

This left 22 dead and over 40 injured. The Zaporizhzhia region is one of conflict, located in southeastern Ukraine and has been the victim of frequent targeting by Russian forces since the onset of the war in 2022. Four guarded aerial bombs hit the Bilenkivska Correctional Colony destroying the dining hall as well as damaging the administrative and quarantine buildings. Zaporizhzhia governor Ivan Fedorov also stated that neighbouring private residences and homes were destroyed. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD A month ago, on June 23, Israel attacked the Iranian Evin Prison in northern Tehran. According to Iranian authorities, at least 80 civilians were killed in the attack and consequently labelled it a 'war crime.' History of prisons under siege From Operation Jericho during the Second World War to the Son Tay Raid during the Vietnam War to the most recent Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia prison, prison attacks during times of war is not an unseen phenomenon. Its aim was to free political prisoners and French resistance fighters imprisoned in the Amiens Prison in Nazi-occupied France. In the process over 258 people were killed including prisoners, guards and German personnel. The Son Tay Raid (officially known as Operation Ivory Coast), was an American military operation in 1970 that aimed to free prisoners of war from the Son Tay prison camp in North Vietnam. During the operation they discovered that the POWs had been moved to another camp in the months before the raid due to flooding and poor conditions. There were no American POWs and no American casualties, but instead the camp became a place for the killing of dozens of enemy soldiers. Operation Ivory Coast failed in its primary mission — to free American POWs; however, it became a symbolic gesture of American fraternity. The world received the message that the United States would not let their soldiers be forgotten and they would go to the most extreme lengths to bring them back. Striking the defenceless Prison attacks and raids are not new, but in today's conflict-ridden world they are a strategic tool that is being used differently. In the past they could be seen as a symbol of solidarity and hope, now they are a show of power and domination. Israel's attack forced the Iranians to move the detainees from Evin prison to Qarchak prison and the Greater Tehran Central Penitentiary (Fashafouyeh Prison) which reportedly have even worse conditions than Evin prison does. Iranian journalist Mehdi Mahmoodian, who was transferred from Even to Fashafouyeh, stated on his Instagram page that the prisoners that were held there were 'long forgotten' due to their non-political nature. The Israeli military stated that Evin was a 'symbol of oppression for the Iranian people' and moreover, stated it was used for 'intelligence operations against Israel, including counter-espionage.' Prisons, under international law, are considered civilian objects not military, which means the attack could be a violation of international humanitarian law. The attack was not a raid or a prison break, it was a way for Israel to demonstrate its power amid heightening tensions during June's 12-day war. Russia's attack on Bilenkivska Correctional Colony was followed by an attack on Tuesday morning in the village of Novoplatonivka in the Kharkiv region. Top security sources have told CNN-News18 that these attacks on civilians and security forces were carried out by a group of terrorists, including five Pakistanis and one local operative named Junaid, who was trained abroad. The encounter in Dachigam on Monday, July 28, neutralised not only a terror cell but a comprehensive terror syndicate that utilised cross-border support and advanced encrypted technology. These six individuals, including Junaid, have been a significant problem in the Valley, causing major disruptions and insecurity over the past year. According to top intelligence sources, they are responsible for nearly 100 killings, including civilians and Army personnel. Key attacks in Pahalgam's Baisaran and Gulmarg's Bota Pathri over the last two years, as well as in Rajouri and Poonch, have been attributed to this group. CNN-News18 Decodes The Terror Module Top intelligence sources confirm that four hardcore Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives named Suleman, Musa, Yasir (all Pakistanis), and Junaid (a local Kashmiri) infiltrated into India in 2023 through Rajouri-Poonch. Junaid acted as the local handler, providing terrain knowledge, logistics, and shelter, while the others were seasoned Pakistani infiltrators. The group successfully established Lashkar's operational base in Rajouri and Poonch, opening a new front in proxy warfare. They executed a series of deadly, high-precision attacks, including the Dera Ki Gali ambush, inflicting heavy casualties on the Indian Army. These attacks were characterised by meticulous planning, encrypted communication, and insider knowledge, which led to significant losses among Indian elite forces. After conducting four major attacks, the group altered their strategy and moved undetected via Pir Ki Gali into the Kashmir Valley, using a route traditionally not monitored for infiltration. The group split into two modules: Suleman and Junaid moved towards Gagangir in October 2024, while Musa and Yasir headed to Bootpatri (Bota Pathri). On October 20 and 24, Musa and Yasir carried out twin attacks on Army positions in Bootpatri, while Suleman and Junaid struck in Gagangir, targeting and killing engineers in their first symbolic strike in the Valley. Both modules then regrouped in the Dachigam area, where they were joined by fresh infiltrators from Pakistan -Jibran and a senior Pakistani handler codenamed Afghan Bhai. Dachigam served as their new base, where they received logistics, regrouped, and remained hidden for months. Security agencies picked up digital signatures of Musa and Yasir from Bootpatri, which helped track the group. On December 3, 2024, Junaid was killed in an encounter in Harwan–Dachigam, marking a major intelligence breakthrough. Junaid's death provided Indian agencies with deep insights into Lashkar operations, hierarchy, and movement patterns. Suleman, who escaped the encounter, joined Afghan and Jibran, continuing operations from within Dachigam. In April 2025, following orders from Pakistani handlers, they moved via Tral to Pahalgam to execute a fresh attack. After the attack, the group retreated towards Hapatnar and finally returned to Dachigam, where they were ultimately eliminated in a decisive encounter. The module operated with its own encrypted communication network, bypassing traditional telecom surveillance. Security agencies report that Suleman and Junaid's partnership was strategic, combining foreign tactical expertise with deep local ground intelligence. The group's movement from Rajouri to the Valley marks a shift in Lashkar's playbook from border-centric attacks to deep-infiltration valley-based terrorism. Intelligence believes this module was part of a new Pakistani terror groups' plan to revive urban guerrilla warfare in Kashmir using hybrid militants and foreign commanders.
