Tigmanshu Dhulia was surprised by 'Black White & Gray' co-star Sanjay Kumar Sahu's performance

Mumbai: Actor Sanjay Kumar Sahu managed to garner a lot of eyeballs for his powerful portrayal in the psychological thriller "Black White & Gray - Love Kills".
He left everyone dumbstruck as a man accused of multiple murders.
Adding to the growing list of Sanjay's admirers, director and co-star Tigmanshu Dhulia was also left presently surprised after seeing the actor on screen.
It might be interesting to know that as Tigmanshu met Sanjay during the promotion of "Black White & Gray - Love Kills", the director thought that Sanjay was one of the local contributors, not knowing that he is, in fact, a trained actor from FTII.
Recalling the incident, Tigmanshu shared, 'I thought he was just a regular guy. I had no idea he was an FTII graduate until much later."
Despite being a part of the same cast, Tigmanshu and Sanjay do not share the screen in "Black White & Gray - Love Kills".
The ease in Sanjay's performance made it hard to believe his intense training as an actor.
It was only during the promotions of the show, that Tigmanshu realized Sanjay's true potential.
Sanjay's journey as an actor commenced during his college days when he juggled his studies with folk theatre. He later got accepted into FTII back in 2012. Carving a niche for himself, Sanjay has been a part of some celebrated projects such as "Haseen Dillruba" in 2021, "Atrangi Re" in 2021, and "Raanjhanaa" in 2013, to name a few.
Helmed by Pushkar Sunil Mahabal, "Black White & Gray - Love Kills" talks about a high-profile case of serial killings.
Tigmanshu and Sanjay are accompanied by Isha Mate, Abhinav Gupta, Singh Rajni, Abhishek Bhalerao, Nishant Shamaskar, Mayur More, Palak Jaiswal, Deven Bhojani, Hakkim Shahjahan, Edward Sonnenblick, Kamlesh Sawant, and Anant Jog as the film's core cast.

Vidya Balan's hilariously wholesome anecdote about Sanjay Dutt and her first-ever intimate scene in Parineeta

Trust Vidya Balan to light up the room with her hearty laugh. Vidya Balan and Sanjay Dutt in stills from Parineeta (2005)(Photos: X) The actor recently appeared on an episode of The Hollywood Reporter's THR Talks, hosted by Anupama Chopra. Part and parcel of the conversation involved her bouncing back to a comically bad experience she shared with an actor — who remained unnamed — whom she was supposed to shoot an intimate scene with. "I've had an actor who had Chinese and (winces) didn't brush and then I had an intimate scene with him and I was Do you not have a partner?", she exclaimed. Now given the context of the conversation, it was only fair she revisit the first-ever intimate scene she shot, which was incidentally for her Bollywood debut film Parineeta (2005). The scene involved her and Sanjay Dutt with her playing Lalita and Sanjay playing Girish. She shared, "He (Sanjay) came to me in the morning and he's saying 'Vidya, I am really nervous, I don't know how we're going to do this'. And I'm looking at him thinking, this is Sanjay Dutt (laughs). That itself is quite (laughs again)", quipping, "And then, he's so seasoned, he's telling me in every way (laughs), I couldn't resist that". But Vidya at the time was quick to understand how Sanjay went out of his way to make sure she wasn't feeling the pressure. "But you know, it was his generosity, what he did, was made sure that I felt like he too was nervous, and that took the load off me, because, you know, it was my first intimate scene and I was like, I didn't know my way. You know, you almost feel like you're going to expose a part of you when you're doing something like this". Not just this, Sanjay even came back after having shot the scene to personally check on her. "But that put me at ease and I'll never forget, at the end of the day, he came, knocked on my door and he said, 'are you okay?'. I said, 'yeah, absolutely'. He kissed me on my forehead and left. And that's why Sanjay Dutt is Sanjay Dutt". Looping back to her anecdote about the anonymous actor she added, "And he also smells lovely". Parineeta can be revisited on OTT.

Exclusive: Sara Ali Khan says trusting Anurag Basu in Metro In Dino came naturally

Sara Ali Khan is no stranger to playing complex characters, each with their own quirks, conflicts, and contradictions. From the small-town charm of Somya in 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke' to the layered chaos of Rinku in 'Atrangi Re', Sara has been on a mission to explore every shade of the modern Indian woman. In Anurag Basu's 'Metro... In Dino', she slipped into the shoes of Chumki - a character that's equal parts relatable and an exclusive interview with India Today, the actor opened up about why Chumki's story resonated deeply with her, what it was like working with the maverick Basu, and how every role is a journey of unlearning and surrendering to the magic of ON HER CHARACTER CHUMKI'Chumki thinks she has it all figured out, but life has other plans'. Sara began by reflecting on how 'Metro... In Dino' captures the ever-shifting terrain of modern relationships. 'I think the overall theme of confusion, overthinking, and overplanning is something people will relate to a lot more today than maybe a few years ago,' she says. Chumki, she adds, is a mirror to this generation's need to control and calculate everything, until life forces them to just let go.'And, you know, Chumki believes she has it all figured out,' Sara shares, adding, 'But life has other plans! And ultimately, her attempt to go with the flow and follow her heart is what I resonate with I find that inspiring.' Photo: Instagram/Sara Ali Khan SARA CALLS ANURAG BASU 'GENIUS'Working with Anurag Basu, renowned for his emotional depth and whimsical storytelling, was, as expected, a dream come true. ' Dino' marked their first ever collaboration. Describing him, Sara couldn't help but call him "a true genius".'Basu Da is a true master, and I've always known that,' says Sara. She enthusiastically added, 'But watching the film made me truly realise what a genius he is. It's incredibly liberating to surrender to his vision, and trusting him comes so naturally.'The director's signature storytelling, she says, creates a space where actors can simply be. That sense of freedom translated directly into the rawness and vulnerability of Chumki's ' Dino', Chumki is a conflicted young woman navigating emotional abuse - both at work and in her toxic relationship with colleague Anand. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Parth (Aditya Roy Kapur), a traveller and theatre artiste. Photo: Instagram/Sara Ali Khan SHE ALWAYS EXPLORES VERSATILITYVersatility isn't just a buzzword in Sara Ali Khan's career - it's a conscious pursuit. From romantic comedies to intense dramas, her roles have swung across a wide emotional spectrum, but her approach remains asked how exciting it was to explore the many shades of herself on screen, Sara explains, "I've always aspired to explore versatility and have prayed for opportunities that would challenge me."She adds, 'Whether it's Somya, Rinku, Bambi, or Chumki, what draws me to any film is always the story. I believe I'm just one of the storytellers, and it's my responsibility to approach each character with freshness and honesty.'She adds, 'With every new role, there's a need to unlearn, surrender to the director's vision, and allow yourself to flow with it. At least, that's always what I attempt to do.'"IT WAS A BLAST WORKING WITH ADI"Sara's pairing with Aditya Roy Kapur in 'Metro... In Dino' might've raised a few eyebrows initially, but on screen, the chemistry feels effortless and deeply rooted. The credit, she says, goes to the comfort and spontaneity that defined their working dynamic.'Adi was just easy, spontaneous, and non-judgemental,' she adds, 'So working with him was a blast. More than anything, Basu Da and he never forgot to fully have fun while on set, and the rest was just surrendering to Basu da and letting his magic take over.' Photo: Instagram/Sara Ali Khan advertisementAsk her about the Gen Z love for Chumki (her character in Metro), and Sara beams with gratitude. She says, 'I've always wished for roles that are versatile, different, and something that audiences will like to watch and know more about. I truly feel lucky that I've had the chance to explore that genre - because every character of mine has been so different from the other. The common thread has been the attempt to approach them with honesty and a sense of newness. Chumki was a result of just that.'Besides Sara, ' Dino' also features Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sensharma, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta. The film's music has been composed by Pritam.- EndsMust Watch IN THIS STORY#Sara Ali Khan

'Raanjhaana' is one of the most celebrated love stories of Bollywood, which has been melting hearts for years. And thus, when the news of the movie's re-release came out, fans couldn't hold their excitement. However, this re-release is going to come with a twist; an AI twist. The makers announced that the re-release of 'Raanjhanaa' will have a happy ending, where Dhanush will not die. This decision of the makers hasn't gone down well with the film's director Aanand L Rai. Though the director revealed he is still in shock, he simply isn't mincing his words to express his frustration over the matter. In an exclusive interview with us, Aanand L Rai even shared that he is exploring legal possibilities as well in the matter. Aanand L Rai says he is still in shock 'I am still in a state of shock! I am trying to process the significance of what's being done here. Is this really happening? And you know what is most disturbing? I got to know about this through media outlets,' said the filmmaker. 'When I read about the ending being changed from a tragic to a happy one, I thought it was some kind of a joke. Who does something like this seriously? Sadly, this is not a joke.
