124 Street Grand Market returns tonight, Sunday market on June 1
CTV News15-05-2025
The 124 Street Grand Market will hold its first weekly Thursday market tonight from 4 to 8 p.m.
The flagship market of the Edmonton Grand Markets is located at 108 Avenue and 124 Street.
The Sunday market at 102 Avenue and 124 Street will launch on June 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Both markets will run until Thanksgiving weekend.
A Saturday Grand Market at South Edmonton Common that was introduced in 2024 will not be held this year.
Instead, the focus will be on adding Friday night market dates.
'The expansion in 2024 was well-received but the vendor and customer bandwidth isn't quite there. Folks are feeling stretched and we need to do more with less,' Grand Markets owner Krista Franke said in a news release.
'As a result Grand Markets Edmonton will concentrate on Thursday, Friday and Saturday locations and increase their program offerings to better serve the community.'
The market will also run the Little Beans program at the Sunday market to give children the opportunity to connect with growers and learn where their food comes from.
