Sainsbury's adds pizza to meal deals as shoppers delighted
Shoppers can now buy the pizza as a snack in the three-piece meal deal combo, which also includes a drink and a main.
The pizza is served from Sainsbury's bakery section and can also be bought as a single item for £1.20.
Sainsbury's is offering a range of pizza flavours, including Tomato, Cheese and Onion, Tomato and Mozzerella and Red Onion and Cheese.
On the Facebook Group, Man Behaving Dadly, one Sainsbury shopper shared their discovery, writing: "Fun fact. Sainsbury's allows you to have a mini pizza as a 'snack' in a meal deal if you don't fancy crisps or chocolate or whatever. I forgot to measure it, but it was easily 8-10 inches long."
Reacting to the pizza, one Facebook user wrote: "That's a huge 'snack' to include in a meal deal!"

It looks like Sainsbury's is not the only retailer offering a twist to the meal deal, as one Facebook user shared their experience in the Co-op: "Yeah, a few have some mad stuff in there now, Co-op has Cheese Twists and those pesto tomato orb things."
A second user said you can now get ice cream as part of the meal deal on offer at Tesco: "With the Tesco meal deal, you can have an ice cream as a snack at the moment - even the fancy Magnums (Magna?) are included! Happy days."

It's official: four more famous restaurants join Time Out Market Budapest
Scheduled to open this autumn, Time Out Market Budapest will bring together the best chefs and restaurants from all over Hungary's capital and beyond, all under one roof. Eleven award-winning and emerging local restaurateurs will be offering the crème de la crème of the city's food scene, and we recently announced the first four. For Hungarians, this is where to head for a hit of holiday nostalgia. In addition to these perennial favourites, characteristic dishes of the Balaton Uplands will be served – think fresh fish, regional specialities and reimagined classics created from local ingredients. Bigfish Bigfish will bring fresh flavours and a seaside feel to the heart of Budapest as part of Time Out Market. Expect seasonal seafood specialities, freshly shucked oysters, British-style fish and chips, and premium-quality sushi directly sourced from the largest fish markets in Europe. Tuning Burger The fourth name? That'd be none other than Tuning Burger, once the title-holder of Hungary's Best Burger. This place has raised the concept of hamburgers to a whole new level thanks to exceptional ingredients and flavours. Patties are crafted from matured meat, artisanal buns and homemade sauces, and visitors will find market specialities like Hungarian grey cattle, Hortobágy Angus, Wagyu or Omaha meat. Increases in the minimum wage and National Insurance paid by employers have also added pressure onto hospitality businesses. BrewDog announced last week that it would shutter ten sites, including its flagship branch in Aberdeen. Its Camden branch closed on Friday, with the other bars closing from Saturday onwards. CEO James Taylor sent a message to all staff, explaining that the venues were no longer making money. He said: "Following much consideration, we have sadly concluded that there is no realistic prospect of making these venues commercially viable. "Keeping them open would put pressure on the wider business, making it harder to invest where we know we can grow. This decision is not simply a response to the challenging UK hospitality market, but a proactive decision to redefine the bar division's focus. "This is not a decision we've taken lightly. But as we evolve BrewDog into a more focused and sustainable business, we've had to be honest about where we are - and where we're heading." Meanwhile, Thai restaurant chain Busaba Eathai was brought out of administration last week as part of a pre-pack deal. It once had as many as 16 restaurants, but this was reduced to 12 following a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) - which is a way for a struggling business to negotiate with creditors - in 2020. Joint administrator Neil Bennett said: 'Busaba has experienced tough trading conditions over the past few years, in line with the hospitality industry in general, including the negative consequences of the cost-of-living crisis, inflation and a substantial increase in utilities costs. 'The pre-pack sale has allowed us to transfer the business smoothly and has saved a long-standing London Thai restaurant along with hundreds of jobs." Oakman Inns & Restaurants also recently announced plans to close six sites and transfer a further 12 after falling into administration. Ross Connock, joint administrator at PwC, said: 'It's regrettable that six trading sites were not included in the sale, resulting in 159 redundancies. Our team of employee specialists are providing support to those affected during this challenging time.'
