Arrest made in auto theft incident: Savannah Police

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah Police said they have arrested a man in connection to an auto theft that occurred Thursday.
Anthony Mitchell, 29, was arrested and charged with theft-by-receiving stolen property, a Savannah Police Department (SPD) spokesperson said.
Around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) contacted Chatham Dispatch to inform them of a stolen 2022 Dodge RAM 1500 that was reportedly alerting Flock cameras throughout Chatham County municipalities, SPD said.
Since Bulloch officials entered the vehicle into Flock, the alert was activated, and police were able to locate the truck.
The SPD Community Response Team and Patrol agencies located the truck west on East Victory Drive towards Skidaway Road. While the truck was stick in heavy traffic, police conducted a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.

Police have arrested two teenagers on suspicion of murder this evening after the death of a 19-year-old in Bury. Police said that both men, aged 19, remain in custody as the murder investigation continues. Emergency services were called to Market Street. The 19-year-old was attacked just before 9pm in a car park. The victim sustained several stab wounds and died later from his injuries. The Major Incident Team is leading the investigation.
