The Last of Us Showrunner Pitches a Breaking Bad Game
Craig Mazin was best known for his work on HBO's Chernobyl before he delivered another hit with The Last of Us series adaptation.
It's no mystery that Mazin loves games, but when asked by BAFTA about what existing series he would want to adapt as a game, he says that he thinks Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad would be his pick. Mazin explains:
'It would be Breaking Bad; but I want the game mostly to be about lying to your wife and friends (laughs), so it's not a lot of action. It's mostly just Skyler starting to figure it out, and you just have to keep lying to her and Hank.
Mazin continues, ' There's a meter that shows how much meth you've made that day, and also how paranoid you are, and how close other people are to figuring out the truth of who you are. I mean, I would play that game.'
If you're taking the pitch seriously, this could probably work as a narrative game like Life is Strange or any of the Telltale titles; but seeing as how action-packed Breaking Bad is, I can imagine something close to GTA where you have to make drugs, distribute drugs, and fight for territory.
I mean, the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul universe is colorful enough to turn into an open-world crime game, but will it ever live up to the series in terms of narrative? That's probably the biggest challenge with that idea.
If anything, Netflix can probably just make a reskin of a puzzle game and offer that for subscribers to play. Who knows, maybe someone already came up with the idea back when the series was still coming out.

We don't know how long the KPDH train is going to run yet, but the movie is currently No. 1 on Netflix, and a lot of people online have been gushing about how it celebrates everything that fans love about K-Pop from the band members having specific personalities to them going on game shows and having fan meets. No sequel has been announced for K-Pop Demon Hunters yet, but the ending does leave fans hopeful for a follow-up, especially with the billboard of Huntrix saying they have a new song/album called Comeback. Some are even hoping that the girls actually get to go on a world tour this time, and maybe they can find Hunters from every other nation—pretty much like what happened with Trolls World Tour . Looks Like There's Hope for Mindhunter Fans After All
Netflix's Mindhunter managed to deliver two seasons before it got cancelled on Netflix, and while a lot of people cried for the series to come back, it looked like David Fincher had moved on. But as it turns out, there could be hope for the show after all. In a recent talk with CBR, Holt McCallany says he met with Fincher recently and says the series could come back in the form of a trilogy of films. He explains: 'I had a meeting with David Fincher in his office a few months ago, and he said to me that there is a chance that it may come back as three two-hour movies, but I think it's just a chance. I know there are writers that are working, but you know, David has to be happy with scripts.' While the series has managed to showcase several real-life serial killers, one big cliffhanger involves the BTK Killer who is shown committing his murders around the same time as the series; but it's ultimately more tragic when you realize that BTK was caught in 2005. For now, McCallany says that ' stars would all have to align' to get a new Mindhunter trilogy going on Netflix, but with Stranger Things ending, maybe Netflix could look back at one of their more popular shows soon. Besides Mindhunter , there have also been calls for a GLOW movie which I've also been campaigning for, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, you can watch two excellent seasons of Mindhunter now streaming on Netflix.

House of the Dragon S03 Director Setting Fans Up for Disappointment
House of the Dragon has went on to be a spectacular show, but deviations from the book (and admittedly focus on women) has led to some toxic backlash that is pretty hard to avoid online. With Season 3 incoming director and cinematographer Loni Peristere was asked by Gold Derby what fans can expect from the third season, to which he says: 'It's definitely everything that the fans want. Everything they've read in the book, everything that they know is coming. This season goes to 11.' Though that does sound fine and dandy for anyone who hasn't been keeping their ear to the ground when it comes to the series, it does sound like Peristere could be setting the fans up for disappointment with him saying it's 'definitely everything that the fans want.' Even George R.R. Martin himself has already come out online about not being pleased with the omissions that the series made with the source material; and those omissions are going to trickle all the way down to events that are expected (or rather not expected) to take place in the next season. Personally, I don't really care that much anymore when an adaptation makes omissions—that's something expected when mediums change— but there are definitely going to be fans tuning online every week just to talk about how much they hate what's been removed and saying how they wish showrunner Ryan Condal never made the series in the first place. It's honestly exhausting as a House of the Dragon fan, but the moment social media and the Youtube algorithm stops rewarding rage baiting, maybe we can see this die down eventually. House of the Dragon Season 3 is expected to come out on HBO Max sometime in 2026.
