As the golf world turns its attention to the Open Championship that will commence later this week, Jordan Spieth is already celebrating a major life victory off the course.

The three-time Major champion announced the birth of his third child, a son named Sully Spieth, with a heartwarming post on Instagram that read, 'We added a new member to the foursome — Sully Spieth! Everyone is doing great 💙'
The news sparked an outpouring of congratulations from fellow PGA Tour players, fans, and sports personalities across social media.
Spieth, 30, and his wife Annie Verret, who have been together since high school and married in 2018, added to their growing family.
"Congrats Spieth family!!!!!! Beautiful baby!!!!!!💜💜💜💜💜" wrote one fan.
The PGA Tour left a comment reading, "Congratulations to you and your family 💙."

The U.S. Open's account replied, "Congrats Jordan!"

The couple has largely kept their family life private, but this joyful announcement marks a special moment just days before Spieth tees it up at Royal Portrush in search of his second Open Championship title.
Spieth won The Open back in 2017 at Royal Birkdale in dramatic fashion, adding it to his wins at the Masters and U.S. Open in 2015.

Known for his creativity, clutch putting, and emotional intensity on the course, Spieth remains one of the most beloved figures in golf, and his recent form suggests he could be primed for another run at a major.

Though the last few years have been a rollercoaster for the Texan, Spieth has seen a resurgence in his game at times this year, notching four top-10 finishes and returning to relevance on the biggest stages. In the other majors this year, he finished tied for 23rd at the U.S. Open, tied for 14th at the Masters and missed the cut at the PGA Championship.
Now, with his growing family and a clear sense of perspective, Spieth heads to Northern Ireland with a full heart and another reason to chase history. If he lifts the Claret Jug once again, there's no doubt Baby Sully will be one proud little fan.

Bremen's Weiser suffers cruciate ligament tear
Werder Bremen's Mitchell Weiser has suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his right knee and will be sidelined for many months, the Bundesliga club has said. Bremen said that midfielder Weiser sustained the injury during training on Wednesday afternoon and that treatment will be determined over the next days. "News like this hurts all of us a lot. 'Legend of Zelda' live-action movie finds its Zelda and Link
The live-action 'Legend of Zelda' movie has found its stars. Legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who's an executive producer on the film, announced Wednesday on X that Bo Bragason will portray Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play Link in Nintendo and Sony's film. Miyamoto created the hit video game series with Takashi Tezuka. British actor Bo Bragason is known for her roles in BBC One's 'Three Girls' and 'The Jetty,' as well as Disney+'s 'Renegade Nell' and the 2024 vampire comedy 'The Radleys.' Ainsworth, also from the U.K., voiced Pinocchio in Disney+'s live-action 'Pinocchio' in 2022 and played Miles in Netflix's 'The Haunting of Bly Manor.' Liverpool OVERTAKE Arsenal in €100m talks
Liverpool have reportedly overtaken Arsenal in pursuit of a €100m forward. The Reds are now closest to making this happen. Luis Diaz has massively complicated things at Liverpool. The Colombian wasn't supposed to leave this summer or at the least, the Reds didn't think he would. Diaz isn't exactly an untouchable at Anfield but the idea that someone would pay his asking price seemed farfetched. And the to be fair, it has been. Barcelona and Bayern Munich have each pushed for Diaz in the last few weeks. Both failed to get anywhere near what Liverpool would want in order to sell. But now the winger has made it clear to Liverpool that he wants out. And that may well force their hand as offers continue to arrive. At the very least, it has the Reds seeking a replacement and they appear to have found a very high-profile one. Liverpool lead Rodrygo race AS claims Liverpool are now at the front of the queue for Rodrygo. The outlet mentions that the Reds view him as a replacement for Diaz, should he leave the club this summer. And so they'll fly in for talks about Rodrygo. A deal might be able to happen, even if Real Madrid want €100m for their player. Importantly, Arsenal - previously considered favourites to sign Rodrygo - are now 'more distant' in the race than Liverpool. The Reds have stolen a march on the Gunners, pushing to the front and now signing the Brazilian is a real possibility. But there is a way to go just yet. Liverpool won't sign Rodrygo unless Diaz leaves but that will take a large fee in order to cover signing the replacement.
