In love, your gentle nature can heal old wounds. If you are in a relationship, use today to comfort rather than correct. Even if misunderstandings arise, handle them with grace.
Speak kindly and listen deeply. Your love will feel more stable when shared through compassion. If single, someone may admire your soft nature. Do not hide your emotional side. Let your real heart shine. Love that begins through kindness often lasts longer and becomes stronger over time.

Someone at work may be rude or impatient. Do not match their energy. Stay composed and focused on your duties. Your peaceful way of handling things will be noticed and respected. A gentle conversation may solve a problem that loud words could not. Choose kindness over control. You will move ahead through balance, not competition.
Libra Money Horoscope Today
Financial matters can benefit today from thoughtful decisions. If someone asks you for financial help or advice, be kind but wise.
Avoid saying yes out of pressure. Check your own needs first. It is good to help others, but not at the cost of your own peace. Review your expenses and save where possible. Small acts of generosity will bring blessings, but stay balanced. Kindness also means being kind to yourself. Financial discipline with compassion will bring long-term comfort.
Libra Health Horoscope Today
Health can feel stable if you keep stress away. Emotional tension may affect your sleep or cause tiredness if you keep too much in your heart. Speak gently with yourself as well. Do not carry guilt or regret in silence. Gentle stretching, soothing music, or talking to someone close can help release inner pressure. Avoid cold foods and eat on time. A warm bath or quiet moment of reflection will refresh your energy. Kindness towards your body will bring lasting healing.

Why did copper escape US tariffs when aluminium did not?

A U.S. decision last week to exempt refined copper metal from import duties is in contrast to an earlier move to levy steep duties on aluminium, and highlights the central importance of electricity costs and the lobbying dynamics shaping U.S. policy. The United States stunned the copper market with its decision to only tax imports of semi-finished products such as wire, tube and sheet. Copper prices on Comex are down more than 20% since the announcement on Wednesday. U.S. aluminium producer Century Aluminum has been vocal in its support of tariffs that it says are essential to protect what remains of the U.S. aluminium smelting industry. Live Events "Century Aluminum Company applauds President Trump 's unwavering defence of the nation's domestic production of critical metals by increasing aluminum tariffs to 50%," the company said in a June release. The waiver for refined copper reflects its importance to U.S. manufacturing and the influence of the industry, including major producer Freeport-McMoRan, which earlier this year said a global trade war would undermine U.S. copper production. "A global trade war could result in slower economic growth," Freeport said in a submission to a U.S. government request for comment on its investigation into copper import tariffs. "Slower growth in the U.S. or globally would negatively impact copper prices, which could threaten the viability of the domestic copper industry due to its elevated cost structure." The case for tariffs on U.S. aluminium imports includes the energy proportion of smelting costs in the United States. Macquarie's ballpark estimate for energy costs for producing primary aluminium and copper is 50% and 30% respectively. "There is no economic case for building any greenfield aluminium smelting capacity without substantial intervention. Even then, intervention may not be sufficient," said Macquarie analyst Marcus Garvey. Analysts say one major difficulty for potential investors in U.S. aluminium smelting capacity is getting long-term power purchase agreements at competitive prices, when power costs are higher in the U.S. compared with other producing countries such as United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and the world's biggest producer China. The cost of electricity is the main reason why there are only four active U.S. aluminium smelters down from 23 in 1995. According to U.S. Geological Survey, the United States produced 3.35 million metric tons of primary aluminium in 1995, 1.6 million tons in 2015 and 670,000 tons last year.

Government fast-tracks delayed projects: 923 pending road completions under review; over Rs 7.7 lakh crore cost estimated

Representative image The Road Transport and Highways Ministry has accelerated pending road projects, with the goal of finalising 50% by the end of March through expedited clearances, swifter land procurement, and timely central funding allocation, a senior official told ET. "The ministry has identified low-hanging projects along with issues resulting in delay of these projects and is moving ahead with targeted intervention to streamline work on these projects," the official said on condition of anonymity. "Besides, a strict monitoring mechanism has been put in place to ensure that they meet the fresh date of completion with monthly review of these projects being done at the highest level," the official added. Data from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation shows that the Road Transport and Highways Ministry is currently overseeing 923 projects, with most having surpassed their initial completion dates. The total expenditure projection for these projects stands at Rs 7.7 lakh crore, exceeding both the revised estimate of Rs 7.6 lakh crore and the initial budget of Rs 7.3 lakh crore. In the June quarter, 81 road projects were completed, representing 69.8% of the 116 finished Central infrastructure projects across sectors. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Unsold 2021 Cars Now Almost Free - Prices May Surprise You Unsold Cars | Search Ads Learn More Undo This showed substantial improvement from the previous year's figure of 59 road projects, which constituted 56.2% of 105 completed central projects. An ET analysis showed that roads and highways accounted for 32 of 42 infrastructure projects (76.2%) completed in June. Additionally, the road sector contributed 24 of the 40 projects finished in May. This assessment considers projects valued at ₹150 crore or more, indicating substantial progress in the road transport and highways sector. Several projects faced considerable delays before completion. For example, the NH-219 rehabilitation in Andhra Pradesh took 9 years and 8 months, despite its original October 2015 deadline. The four-laning project of NH-361's Waranga Mahagaon section in Maharashtra was completed after 8 years and 3 months, having initially been scheduled for March 2017.
