Clothing company aims to intersect fashion and sportswear

One clothing company is working to change the game when it comes to fashion and baseball. The company, Terez, was contracted by the MLB to create fashionable merch for women and children. This season, Terez dropped their third line for the Boston Red Sox. Advertisement 'What the MLB brought us in to do was to create something other than your pink V-neck sparkly t-shirt,' Terez's Head of Merchandising, Allie Tisch, said. Research from the Deloitte Center for Technology, Media, and Telecommunications suggests women are more likely to buy new sports merch over a 12-month time frame. 'I know for me personally, if there's an event, I want to buy something new to wear for it,' fan Avery Butt said. 'It's exciting to shop around.' However, some female fans tell Boston 25 News that the clothing offered to represent their favorite teams doesn't always reflect that. 'I feel like for clothes it's a lot more focused for men like different t-shirts and stuff,' said Butt. 'I feel like there's not a lot of fashionable options for women to wear like a Red Sox shirt or any sports,' fan Avery Butt said. Advertisement 'Generally, I feel like sometimes they make women's t-shirts kind of odd for sports merch like they don't fit right in the hips,' fan Bethany Laatsch said. This past fall, Terez also launched merch with the Boston Celtics and this fall, they will launch with the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. 'We want them to be able to come to the store and find something that they want to wear and not have to shop in the men's section,' Tisch said. This is a developing story. New Report Reveals Who the Celtics Will Not Trade

New Report Reveals Who the Celtics Will Not Trade originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Boston Celtics have already checked off their biggest priority this offseason by trading Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis to get under the NBA's second tax apron. However, they may not be done dealing. For all the players who could be traded away, The Athletic's Jay King reported on Friday that there's one player Boston plans to keep. Advertisement "Speculation has surrounded Sam Hauser's future because it likely wouldn't be difficult to find a taker for his four-year, $45 million contract, ... but the Celtics are said to be more focused on avenues that would allow them to hold onto Hauser, who has proven himself as a valuable rotation piece and one of the NBA's best shooters," King wrote. Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (8) and forward Sam Hauser (30)© David Butler II-Imagn Images King also confirmed the Celtics' desire to keep Al Horford and Luke Kornet this offseason, which hypothetically could lead to trading Hauser's contract to make room to re-sign them without crossing the NBA's second tax apron. However, as King wrote, that doesn't appear to be the case. If that's not enough, Jake Fischer reported that there haven't been any rumbles about a potential Hauser trade while explaining why Boston wouldn't trade him. Advertisement "I haven't heard any credible buzz about Sam Hauser's inclusion in serious trade conversations," Fischer wrote. Fischer added, "The interest would surely be there given Hauser's perimeter prowess and the value contract he holds over the next four years, but the Celtics have largely achieved their financial goals by moving Holiday and Porziņģis. They don't have to trade Hauser." If Hauser's not up for grabs, but the Celtics want to save money, the most obvious trade candidates would be their newest non-rookie players: Anfernee Simons and Georges Niang. Meta Platforms (META) to Run AI Data Centers on Wind and Solar Power

Technology giant Meta Platforms (META) is planning to power its artificial intelligence (AI) data centers with renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. Confident Investing Starts Here: The Silicon Valley-based company run by CEO Mark Zuckerberg has signed a deal with privately held clean energy provider Invenergy to supply its AI data centers with 791 megawatts more of solar and wind power, the companies announced in a news release. This is the latest deal that Meta Platforms has signed to help meet its soaring power needs as it races to bring data centers online that can power its AI technologies and applications. This is Meta's second deal with Invenergy. In 2024, Meta signed a contract with the Chicago-based renewable energy provider for 760 MW of solar electricity. The combined deals bring the companies' total partnership to 1,800 MW. Surging Power Needs Meta has also inked deals with several large solar power providers, a geothermal start-up company, and is seeking proposals from nuclear power developers. The moves come as Meta rushes to bring AI data centers online and keep up with rivals such as Microsoft (MSFT) and Amazon (AMZN). The electricity from Invenergy's solar and wind projects situated in Ohio, Arkansas and Texas will be delivered to the local grid, while Meta will receive clean energy credits associated with the new generation capacity coming online, said the companies. META stock is up 25% this year. Is META Stock a Buy? The stock of Meta Platforms has a consensus Strong Buy rating among 46 Wall Street analysts. That rating is based on 42 Buy, three Hold, and one Sell recommendations issued in the past three months. The average META price target of $714.26 implies 0.79% upside from current levels.
