Jessica Biel reveals workout that gave her an ‘unattainable' peach-shaped butt on ‘The Better Sister'

Yahoo15-07-2025
No ifs, ands — but definitely some butts.
Prime Video's new thriller series 'The Better Sister' has earned lots of fans, thanks in large part to leading ladies Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks.
But the thing that no one can get over is how absolutely incredible Biel, 43, looked in that white dress — in fact, Biel has heard so much about how terrific her tush looked that she's sharing the workout that got it that way.
'Everyone is talking — or telling me that they're really enjoying — The Better Sister, which is amazing… and also talking about the white dress,' she said on TikTok, responding to a commenter who begged her to 'drop the workout routine.'
But first, Biel said, let's temper our expectations.
'I wanted to share that that peach shape in that show is not maintainable unless you are living the strictest, most rigid lifestyle with your nutrition and fitness — which I cannot do,' she said.
So while she got there for the series, keeping her butt like that full-time is, according to the star, a tall order.
Having made everyone feel a little bit better about themselves, she went on to say that she is 'trying to get a little bit back towards that shape' and shared some of the workouts — courtesy of Pilates guru Ashley Brown — that gave her that delectable derriere.
Lie with your upper back supported on a bench, feet flat on the floor. Drive through heels to lift your hips until shoulders‑to‑knees form a straight line, squeezing the glutes at the top.
If you don't have barbells, you can also use double dumbbells — as Biel does.
Do 10 reps and 4 sets.
Stand tall holding dumbbells or a bar.
Keeping your knees slightly bent, hinge at your hips and lower yourself down with your back straight, then squeeze hamstrings/glutes to stand back up.
Also 10 reps and 4 sets.
Lie on your back with your feet on a stability ball. Lift hips, then curl the ball toward your glutes with your feet.
Repeat 10-12 times with three sets.
Hold a dumbbell or kettlebell at your chest, then step backward (or laterally) into a deep lunge.
Three sets of 6-8 reps.
Anchor a resistance band or cable low and attach it to your ankle. Extend your leg straight back and up to activate the glute, especially the side/lateral muscles.
Two sets of 10-12 reps, using a stronger band for the second set.
Lie on your back, holding a kettlebell with arms extended. Simultaneously lower opposite arm and leg toward the floor with control.
Twelve reps total and two sets.
Proving that she is in, fact, human, Biel was out of breath by the end of the video.
'Whoo, I'm tired,' she said. 'My body is not 20 years old anymore.'

Sacha Baron Cohen's Pumped Transformation From Borat To Marvel's Mephisto: Photos

EXCLUSIVE: Marvel chief Kevin Feige said in a press gathering this week that Sacha Baron Cohen's Mephisto character will be prominent as the next MCU supervillain. For his part, Baron Cohen transformed his physique as evidenced by the cover of Men's Fitness UK. Baron Cohen has plunged himself into character creations like Borat, Ali G and Bruno, but the work he put into his body with Alfonso 'The Angry Trainer' Moretti indicates playing a shredded Mephisto is more than a one-off for the actor. Compared to Borat's rather hairy visage in the lime green singlet, Baron Cohen's transformed physique is buff, and well, bald. The changes he made through hard and consistent training, coupled with a diet high in fiber and protein and low in sugar, are startling. Maybe not quite as startling as when Deadline unveiled Jake Gyllenhaal's washboard abs transformation to play the boxer in 2015's Southpaw, but a decided change from what Baron Cohen looked like in comedies like Borat and Talladega Nights, and dramatic turns in The Trial of the Chicago 7, and the miniseries The Spy. More from Deadline Who Is [SPOILER]? The Latest Big Marvel Reveal Explained Sacha Baron Cohen's Next Scripted Film Comedy Shopping For New Home: The Dish Rebel Wilson Loses Bid To Have 'The Deb' Producers' Defamation Suit Nipped In The Free Speech Bud Deadline got a peek at the Men's Fitness UK article that comes out later this week and details how Baron Cohen reached out to buff peer Matthew McConaughey to get the phone number of a trainer capable of getting an actor buff and shredded in a hurry. McConaughey suggested Moretti. In their first Zoom call, Moretti made Baron Cohen strip down to his underwear. The trainer described the actor's body this way: 'He looked like a ruler, straight up and down,' but he also detected in Baron Cohen 'an athlete in hiding.' The actor was not a slouch as for years he has been working with a kickboxing trainer when time permitted in his busy production schedules. Moretti took on the challenge, and Baron Cohen applied a method actor's discipline to the task, starting with 100 pushups per day. He was disciplined and consistent in the short but intense training sessions the trainer put him through, even while he was away filming. The results came quickly, enough that Baron Cohen's Mephisto costume had to be altered a time or two to reflect the improvements in his physique. Mephisto originated in the Silver Surfer comics, and factored into comic book storylines including Avengers villain Thanos, and Spider-Man. Feige said the character is a devil who presents Faustian bargains to hero characters, but the Marvel chief would not elaborate on how the character will fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is undergoing a reset with two new Avengers films. Baron Cohen made a surprising debut as Mephisto in the finale of the Disney+ series Ironheart. The actor described his own condition at the start of his workout regimen as 'having the core strength of an arthritic jellyfish.' But he said that the short but intense sessions have left him feeling in the best shape of his life. He believes it is something others can emulate, tailoring their workouts to their own physique goals and time limitations. The cult of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty', explained

Breanna Quigley thought of everything. For her watch party last week for the debut of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" Season 3, the 24-year-old in Charlotte, North Carolina, had custom cookies, matching pool floats, a popcorn machine, a custom painted banner, a big speaker, seashell place mats, a fish net table runner, blue hydrangeas ... the list goes on. Each item was a reference to the show about a love triangle between Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) and brothers Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) as they navigate life, growing pains and one immeasurable loss. Blue water appeared on Quigley's blow-up TV screen as she and her friends watched from her pool, chimes sounding as the opening credits played like a call to worship for the devout fans of Jenny Han's fan-favorite novels-turned-Amazon Prime Video series. Quigley, who dropped $350 on her event, is among many fans gathering at one another's homes and public venues weekly to enjoy the guilty pleasure of watching Belly navigate her love for two boys she's known her whole life – and that each present a different future for her. Where to watch Season 3: What time does Episode 3 of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' come out? The watch parties are pure sun-soaked indulgence for viewers who know deep in their souls whether they're Team Jeremiah or Team Conrad – and are ready to present a thesis as to why. Series creators even issued a foreboding warning imploring fans to refrain from online harassment as the angst of the season plays out. Conrad or Jeremiah? How 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' books end "I think the show has such a following because of how it makes you feel," Quigley said. "Everyone loves summer romance and I feel a lot of people can relate and love to see Belly choose between brothers. It's funny because the show can be pretty cringey but it's cute." Be in Belly's world: 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' gets a character-inspired shoe collection at Steve Madden Emphasis on the cringe. Some viewers are really embarrassed about the degree of investment they have in Season 3, despite watching these young lovers through their fingers. "I'm one episode in and already cringing and very uncomfy," posted one audience member. so cringey but I can't not watch it #thesummeriturnedpretty #conniebaby When Belly and Jeremiah middle-school-style slow dance to "Dilemma" by Kelly Rowland and Nelly at a college frat party, one viewer physically twinged with second-hand shudders. Fans' significant others are watching from the other room, stunned and bewildered by the dynamics of a girl who loves two siblings. Bearing witness to the "icks" on screen are a test of endurance. Meet the cast: Who stars in 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3? i'm still staying strong as team jelly ✊🏽 im carrying this ship on my back till l die #thesummeriturnedpretty #thesummeriturnedprettyedit #thesummeriturnedprettyseries #thesummeriturnedprettyseason3 #jellyfish #bonrad #jellyedit #bonradedit #conradfisher But why do we watch anyway, and get so invested? It reminds us so much of our own loves, the ones we lost or never had, according to Alicia M. Walker, professor of sociology at Missouri State University. "Maybe we're cringing, but we might be a bit jealous, too," Walker said. Who wouldn't want to experience love for the first time against the lustful backdrop of fictional Cousins Beach, an idyllic East Coast town, Walker said. The raw unabashed relationships on screen, while we recoil, may remind viewers of any age of the significant impact of being chosen for simply being yourself, Walker said. "The show doesn't just depict first love, it restores its emotional weight," Walker said. "The show almost doesn't feel like fiction, it feels like memory." this is so amazing aaa #thesummeriturnedpretty #summer #bryantpark #teamjeremiah #teamconrad #fyp #thingstodoinnyc @the summer i turned pretty The cult of "TSITP" is especially powerful because its ethos juxtaposes our cultural zeitgeist, one deprived of connection and defined by division, she said. We want something we can all gather around right now and root for, awkwardness included, she said. "It ends up being emotional comfort food during this time," Walker said. "The cult following around the show really shows how starved we are for something that we can feel, not just watch. The characters become avatars for our own longing, heartbreak, hopefulness and grief ... Whether you're 17 or 57, that hunger for connection, clarity and care is real and this show feeds that."

That includes apps such as Netflix, HBO Max, Spotify, and Prime Video, and content from free streamers like Tubi, Xumo Play, and Pluto TV. You can access the store on your Xfinity device, and it's also rolling out on where you can keep up with your streaming subscriptions along with Xfinity mobile, internet, or TV packages you may have. Similar to Amazon's Prime Video platform, StreamStore allows you to sign up and activate select streaming accounts in one location and be billed through Xfinity. Comcast said that later this year, it also plans to roll out more StreamSaver bundles, load the store with more streaming apps and enhance its subscription management functionality.
