Hael Husaini's first solo concert set for Aug 8

SINGER/COMPOSER Hael Husaini surprised his fans by announcing that he will be holding his first solo concert 'Konsert Hael Husaini & Repertoire' on Aug 8.
In a statement released yesterday, the Rocketfuel Entertainment star said the concert, which will take place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, promises to be a unique blend of art, fashion and emotion.
Known for his powerful vocals, Hael revealed that the show will feature several prominent guest stars including Dayang Nurfaizah, Nadeera, Wany Hasrita and Nabila Razali.
'This concert will not only showcase a selection of my greatest hits over the years but will also feature new musical arrangements, cinematic visuals, guest performances and exclusive fashion displays reflecting my own aesthetic evolution.
'I want fans to not just listen to the songs but also experience my journey, feel my emotions and witness my creative side, from music and visuals to fashion,' he said.
Hael added that he hopes fans leave the concert feeling inspired, fulfilled and proud to have been a part of the night.
Since entering the music scene, Hael has made a name for himself as a two-time consecutive winner of 'Anugerah Juara Lagu' with iconic songs such as 'Jampi' and 'Haram' (a duet with Dayang Nurfaizah). He has also helped shape the local music landscape with his creative touch as a songwriter for popular artistes.
Among his most celebrated compositions is 'Anta Permana', performed by Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza. The song went on to become a fan favourite in Malaysia and was also honoured internationally when it was chosen by British Monarch King Charles III for the royal playlist 'The King's Music Room' on Apple Music.

#SHOWBIZ: Eurodance legend returns to Malaysia after 30 years

RENOWNED for his infectious Eurodance and reggae hits, the legendary Nigerian-Swedish singer Dr Alban recently returned to Malaysia after three decades. The 67-year-old artiste headlined the much-anticipated Dr Alban Live in Malaysia concert at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. This performance marked his first show in the country since his 1994 showcase. Dr Alban, whose full name is Alban Uzoma Nwapa, has been active in the music industry since the 1980s. He initially became a deejay at a Stockholm club to finance his dentistry course at Lund University. In 1990, he met acclaimed producer Denniz Pop from the SweMix label. Teaming up with Pop and rapper Leila K, he released his debut single, 'Hello Afrika', marking the beginning of his illustrious music career. It was at this time that he adopted the stage name Dr Alban, a nod to his background in dentistry. His debut album featured breakout hits such as 'Hello Afrika' and 'No Coke', both of which became million-selling singles. The album achieved significant commercial success, earning gold certification in several countries, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Dr Alban's success reached new heights with the release of his second album, 'One Love', in 1992. This album featured major European hits like 'It's My Life' and 'Sing Hallelujah'. The single, 'It's My Life', became a chart-topping sensation, reaching No. 1 in countries such as Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany, and securing the No. 2 spot in Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. A WARM WELCOME BACK When he met reporters during his recent visit, the singer described Malaysia as a "great country", just as he remembered it from his first showcase in 1994. "Malaysia is very nice, warm, the people are nice, and the service is great. It's great to be here again because the hospitality is also good. "So, I'm grateful to be able to make money, travel, have fun, and meet so many people like you after 30 years. So, I'm happy and grateful to be able to do this, thank you, because all of this is so great." At the concert, held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur last month, Dr Alban delivered a vibrant selection of his hit numbers. Organised by Mojo Projects in collaboration with Tuff & Loud, the event offered fans an engaging performance concept with various entertaining elements. The songs performed had dominated international music charts in the 1990s. The event also featured retro DJ performances, a 1990s-themed activity zone, unique visuals, and various creative elements that effectively evoked the atmosphere of that era. REVIVING RETRO MUSIC Meanwhile, Mojo Projects CEO Ratna K. Nadarajan also spoke at the press conference, stating that the Rewind & Play Experience with Dr Alban was the company's first English concert. According to Ratna, choosing Dr Alban to perform in Malaysia aimed to revive the retro music that the star once popularised. "We feel this segment has not been fully explored and there are many retro artistes who will definitely be successful in Malaysia.

(Video) Netizens Slam Production Team For Local Boy Group ALPHA's Recent Messy Performance

Malaysia's newest boy group, ALPHA, was recently introduced to the public. Comprised of members from Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, the group was formed from the Top 7 contestants of Astro's singing competition Big Stage Alpha, handpicked by both the judging panel and the public. The group is set to perform at Hael Hussaini's solo concert at Zepp Kuala Lumpur this August. However, before that highly anticipated appearance, they performed their first single, 'Mona Lisa (Bang Bang)' on 'Raise The Star Malaysia', but things didn't quite go as planned. Here's what happened: ALPHA opened the 'Raise The Star Malaysia' show over the weekend, but unfortunately, several things went wrong on stage – though none of it was the boys' fault. During their performance, fans expressed frustration over the camerawork, commenting that it focused too much on the audience and parts of the stage instead of the singers. Many also pointed out that the camera zoomed out during the chorus, arguably the most important part of the performance. As if that wasn't bad enough, one side of the stage briefly caught fire after one of the pyrotechnics appeared to malfunction. It was later revealed that the stage crew acted quickly, extinguishing the flames with a fire extinguisher, all while ALPHA continued performing. However, just as one crisis was averted, another occurred: towards the end of the performance, the smoke machine went off again, completely obscuring the singers from view. The performance quickly went viral on social media, with fans criticising the camera operators and production team for how poorly it was executed. Some speculated that the cameraman or operator may not have attended rehearsals, as the angles, positioning, and panning appeared completely uncoordinated. Others suggested that the production team could take a cue from South Korea's Inkigayo, which is known for its seamless handling of K-pop idol performances. At the time of writing, there has been no official statement from 'Raise The Star' or Astro about the criticism, aside from commending the stage crew for their swift response in putting out the fire. Let's hope that ALPHA won't have to deal with more stage disasters in the future. Watch the viral clips below: Kite wakilkan kat sini pulak lah ek. Harap Astro belajar lah ek.
