Lil Wayne accused of physical abuse by ex-girlfriend Denise Bidot
Lil Wayne has been accused of physical abuse by his ex-girlfriend Denise Bidot.
The rapper, 42, dated the model, 38, from around 2019 to 2022, and she has now fired a series of allegations at him including that he ended their relationship by text message on Mother's Day, leaving her 'absolutely unsure how to even process' her emotions.
Denise said Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, subjected her to abuse in a string of videos and written posts shared to her Instagram Stories.
She said: 'Wayne literally kicked me and my daughter out on Mother's Day today.'
Her daughter, who appeared in a video containing the allegations, nodded in agreement.
Denise said she had recently undergone surgery and was unable to lift boxes.
'I am five weeks out from a whole mommy makeover. I can't even lift boxes. But this man has his assistants coming to help kick us out today… and (he) broke up with me on Mother's Day through text,' she said.
Denise added: 'And (my daughter's) birthday's next weekend.'
Lil Wayne, 42, has not publicly responded to the claims.
Denise wrote in an earlier post: 'Breaking up with someone on Mother's Day is diabolical. Prayers up though. God always pulls me through. Walking with faith.'
She also shared concerns for her safety and legal standing, asking followers: 'If y'all got lawyer recommendations, please send them.
'I know he has two girls being flown in today, and who knows how many plethora of girls he has. I've been nothing but supportive to this man, loved him till the end of the f****** world.'
In a second video, Denise accused Lil Wayne of more than emotional mistreatment.
'And it's not just the emotional abuse — this man has actually laid a f****** hand on me,' she said.
Denise went on: 'Like, nah. Nah. And I took it.
'You know what's crazy is they always say you're so stupid for love, and I thought it was a mistake. But I know other women he's put his hands on.'
Addressing Wayne, she added: 'You literally flew me, uprooted me from New York City where I was living, and brought me here for this bulls***? Like, that's crazy, you guys. Like, these men really be taking advantage.'
Her relationship with Wayne began in 2019, shortly after the rapper ended his engagement to model La'Tecia Thomas.
Denise and Wayne made their relationship public in summer 2020 and reconnected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a January 2022 interview with Hola!, Denise confirmed she and Wayne had separated.
She said: 'Today I feel like a much more complete woman: I learned to love, not only another person as a couple, but the world, life, to value time, my heart has opened.'

Jon Watts reveals real reason for quitting Fantastic Four
Jon Watts has finally shared why he dropped out of directing 'Fantastic Four: First Steps'. The 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' director quit the project in 2022 and explained that the 'emotional strain' of pandemic-related fatigue meant he had felt he had no option but to quit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he explained during a storytelling masterclass at the Mediterranean: 'The emotional strain of having to go through all of those COVID protocols while also trying to make something creative while also trying to make sure that your cast and crew were all safe - literally, people could've died if you did things wrong - that and the postproduction process was very difficult. 'When you're doing [visual effects work], there's a whole international component to it where you're using vendors from all over the world, and the supply chain had been interrupted because of COVID. It was really hard to get effects done in a traditional way.' He had committed to 'Fantastic Four' between the second and third 'Spider-Man' movies but when the time came to get started, he was 'out of gas'. He said: 'The COVID layer on top of making a giant movie layer, I knew I didn't have what it would've taken to make that movie great. I was just out of steam, so I just needed to take some time to recover. Everyone at Marvel totally understood. They had been through it with me as well, so they knew how hard and draining that experience has been; in the end, very satisfying, but at some point, if you can't do it at the level that you feel like you need to for it to be great, then it's better to not do it.'

Spider-Man director Jon Watts explains his Fantastic Four exit
Jon Watts left The Fantastic Four: First Steps because he was 'out of gas'. The 43-year-old filmmaker - who directed Tom Holland's Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Spider-Man trilogy - was due to helm the upcoming superhero blockbuster, though exited the project in April 2022, allowing WandaVision's Matt Shakman to take the job that September. Now, Watts has explained that 'the emotional strain' of COVID protocols, the lengthy post-production process and a general feeling of burnout following Spider-Man: No Way Home ultimately pushed him to leave The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Speaking on a panel at the Mediterrane Film Festival, he said: 'The emotional strain of having to go through all of those COVID protocols while also trying to make something creative while also trying to make sure that your cast and crew were all safe - literally people could've died if you did things wrong - that, and the post-production process was very difficult. 'When you're doing [visual effects work], there's a whole international component to it where you're using vendors from all over the world, and the supply chain had been interrupted because of COVID. It was really hard to get effects done in a traditional way. 'By the time No Way Home was done and out, I went in to get back into the story for Fantastic Four. I was like, 'I am out of gas.' 'The COVID layer on top of making a giant movie layer, I knew I didn't have what it would've taken to make that movie great. I was just out of steam, so I just needed to take some time to recover.' Watts added Marvel 'totally understood' his decision to walk away from The Fantastic Four: First Steps. He said: 'Everyone at Marvel totally understood. They had been through it with me as well, so they knew how hard and draining that experience has been; in the end, very satisfying, but at some point, if you can't do it at the level that you feel like you need to for it to be great, then it's better to not do it.' Even so, Watts said he was 'very excited' to see The Fantastic Four: First Steps when it hits cinemas on 25 July. He said: 'I don't know exactly what happens in it. But I've seen the trailers, I've heard a couple of things. 'I think it's pretty close to what we had initially come up with in our story. Obviously, it evolves and adapts over time, but the main villain, the basic threat, the broad strokes ... retrofuturism version of Fantastic Four ... It's going to be a totally surreal experience for me to go and watch that movie.' The Fantastic Four: First Steps - which stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon-Moss Bachrach - follows the titular team as they gain extraordinary powers after a cosmic accident during their exploration of outer space. As they grapple with their new identities, the Fantastic Four must unite to stop the rising threat of Galactus, who could destroy Earth.

The inspirational words went on to champion a partner who "listens when your voice shakes", "leads with love", and "protects without controlling". "He reminds you that you're never too much, too emotional, or too hard to love," the post read. "This kind of masculine energy is powerful - grounded, emotionally intelligent, humble, and heart-led. "It doesn't just make you feel loved; it makes you feel safe, honoured and held." Dokic's latest hint about her little-known personal life comes after she looked visibly elated as she touched down at Melbourne Airport in May. It was there the tennis great embraced an unknown man seen eagerly awaiting her arrival inside the terminal In footage obtained by Dokic could be seen running her fingers along the side of the man's torso. The pair then walked out into the pickup zone of the airport. Dokic split from her previous partner, Brazilian-born Tin Bukic, in late 2022 after an almost two-decade-long relationship. She recently opened up on the Mental As Anyone podcast about how the demise of her relationship jeopardised her plans to start a family. 'I was in a relationship for almost 19 years from the age of 20, and right when we split up, we were about to start trying for a family,' Jelena said. 'I actually think I would be a good mum, to be honest; I love kids.' Dokic revealed she was now planning to start a family as a 'single parent' and was open to exploring adoption. 'It is something I would like to do because I love kids,' she said. 'I didn't have the best experience (but) if I was, let's say, a single mum and adopted one day, it would have all the love in the world.' The former Wimbledon semi-finalist was born in 1983 in the former communist state Yugoslavia before resettling in Serbia and then arriving in Australia as a refugee in 1994. She was just 16 years old when she advanced to the semifinals at Wimbledon in 2000 and reached a peak of World No. 4 in 2002. Dokic in 2009 enjoyed an unforgettable run at the Australian Open after entering as a wildcard and ultimately advancing to the quarter-finals. She retired in 2014 and turned to commentating tennis and will later this month commentate on the iconic Wimbledon tennis tournament, the same event where she reached the semi-final in 2000. Dokic revealed the harrowing family violence she suffered at the hands of her father and coach Damir Dokic in her memoir Unbreakable. Jelena in 2023 said she has been estranged from Damir for more than 10 years. She has claimed her father has never apologised for his alleged verbal, emotional and physical abuse.
