Is Prime Day a good time to buy a bed?
Prime Day is one of the best times to buy a mattress or upgrade your bedding. It's an especially great time for people shopping on a budget, because Amazon has solid, cheap beds, and Prime Day makes them even more affordable. But even if the bed you want isn't on Amazon, top brands run sales to compete with Prime Day, meaning you can save elsewhere.
And I can't forget the sales on pillows, sheets, bedding and toppers. Prime Day is one of the best times to shop if you're looking to revamp your entire bedding set.

4 Reasons I Switched to a Glass-Bowl Air Fryer

CNET's expert staff reviews and rates dozens of new products and services each month, building on more than a quarter century of expertise. 9.2 / 10 SCORE Ninja Crispi $160 at Amazon $160 at Target $160 at Best Buy Pros Cook, serve, and storage capabilities Easy to clean: almost everything is dishwasher-safe Intuitive operation No concern about PFAS Ability to see cooking in progress Can buy additional glass vessels for maximum food prep Small storage footprint with nesting capabilities Portable Cons Price is on the high side for air fryers Some exposed hot elements during operation Ninja Crispi 9.2/10 CNET Score $160 at Amazon We're pretty obsessive when it comes to air fryers. We've spent countless hours testing not just what goes into them, but how well each model actually performs. Earlier this spring, a new kind of air fryer caught our attention -- one with a sleek glass cooking chamber that sets it apart from the pack. After running it through our usual gauntlet of tests, it didn't just impress us -- it won us over completely. The result? It earned CNET's Editor's Choice award and claimed the top spot on our Best Air Fryers of 2025 list. The Ninja Crispi is our new favorite air fryer. Ninja Read more: Air Fryer Fails: 8 Foods That Just Can't Handle the Heat The Crispi is one of the more expensive air fryers we've tested at $160. But if you're hunting for an air fryer that's easy to use, easy to clean, built to last and causes no concern about ingesting cookware chemicals, the Ninja Crispi is worth checking out. Here's how it works and four big reasons I switched to a glass-bowl air fryer in 2025. Ninja Crispi 4-in-1 portable glass air fryer at a glance Style : Modular air fryer with two sizes of glass cooking vessels and a separate cooking pod in three color options : Modular air fryer with two sizes of glass cooking vessels and a separate cooking pod in three color options Dimensions : 13.5 by 12 by 13.5 inches : 13.5 by 12 by 13.5 inches Power : 1,500 watts : 1,500 watts Weight : 15.74 pounds : 15.74 pounds Price $160 Ninja Crispi setup Here's everything that comes with the Ninja Crispi. Pamela Vachon/CNET Despite not looking anything like a typical air fryer, the Ninja Crispi was intuitive to set up and use. Each of the glass cooking vessels has a built-in stand with feet that keeps it off the counter surface. Side handles are also fitted on the stands of the bowls, which allow not only for easy transporting between the counter and the table (because the vessels can also be used to serve) but also make it easy to shake the contents as needed during the cooking process. The nonstick crisper plates were packaged separately and simple to place inside the bowls and to remove for cleaning. Lids for the 6-cup and 4-quart bowls were also included: a snap-on lid for the smaller and a simpler press-on lid for the larger. The cooking pod itself has an ergonomic shape for easy lifting and also has feet for safe placement on the counter when not in use. The cooking pod sits easily on top of the 6-cup bowl and a big-batch adapter frame fits the cooking pod onto the larger bowl. Between unwrapping and rinsing all of the washable parts, I was ready to go in about 2 minutes. Ninja Crispi operation Being able to visually track progress is one of the big draws for Ninja's new air fryer. Pamela Vachon/CNET The cooking pod itself includes crisp, bake, air fry and max crisp functions. Crisp is intended to revive leftovers, while max crisp is the ideal setting for packaged frozen foods. While it is tempting, given its baking dish look, the glass TempWare bowls are not intended to be used as the actual cooking vessels for batters in bake mode, because air still needs to circulate below the cooking vessels to be effective. (Will I try anyway? The temptation is real…) Pressing any button will indicate a digital timer to which you can add or subtract minutes. (The timer defaults to 10.) Below 1 minute, the timer changes into seconds and the device beeps to alert you when the cycle is complete. Overall, the sound level of the Ninja Crispi was similar to conventional air fryer models, with just a moderate whir when operating. 4 reasons I switched to the glass-bowl Ninja Crispi You can see what you're cooking My brussels sprouts got a good char in the Crispi. Pamela Vachon/CNET As expected, the ability to see the cooking in progress was really satisfying, both from a nerdy perspective and also to be able to look for visual cues in terms of when to flip your items or to assess doneness. Both chicken parts and Brussels sprouts were cooked evenly and efficiently with little risk of over-cooking given the 360-degree window into the proceedings. 2. Glass bowls are nontoxic and easy to get clean NInja Most air fryers use aluminum cooking baskets with a nonstick coating. Those coatings tend to chip and breakdown if you're not careful. Plenty of folks are concerned about the health ramifications for ingesting nonstick chemicals that chip of of cookware. With a glass-bowl air fryer, there's no worry. If that's not enough, glass is much easier to deep-clean than nonstick surfaces and you can use the dishwasher without issue. 3. The glass bowls double as food storage containers The cooked food is ready to be packed away or brought to a party as soon as it's done. Pamela Vachon/CNET The versatility, however, makes the Ninja Crispi tremendously interesting, especially for avid meal preppers. Full meals or individual cooked components can go right from cooking into the fridge, with the included lids for easy storage. (Although I am bound by refrigerator logistics to tell you to let it all cool first, so you don't inadvertently raise the temperature inside your fridge.) Additional cooking bowls in a variety of sizes can be purchased separately, allowing for the possibility of a multitude of individually cooked meals with no cleanup required in between use: just transfer the cooking pod from one cooking vessel to the next, assembly-line style. Sunday meal prep has never been easier, nor required fewer dishes. 4. It's easy to store The Ninja Crispi is also easy to store, with a footprint and height requirement that is far less than a lot of conventional models. It also makes for easy portability -- ideal for a potluck situation or even just a hot-meal self-care moment -- where you could even justify cooking on site. Either of the cooking bowls and the cooking pod could easily fit in a shoulder bag. If I worked in an office, it would thrill me to bring the whole thing with me to have a hot, healthful lunch without reheating. Although if you're contemplating being the person to cook fish directly at your desk -- maybe don't. Not only can the larger 4-quart bowl be used directly as a family-style serving vessel -- whose practical feet preclude the need for a trivet or pot holder -- but one could argue that the smaller 4-cup vessel can be used to eat out of directly, significantly reducing the number of dishes to wash. Speaking of washing, everything except the cooking pod itself is dishwasher-safe. What I didn't like about the Ninja Crispi Convenient as it, the glass cooking chamber does get hotter than your average air fryer base. Pamela Vachon/CNET As a modular device with a ton of built-in practicality and versatility, I do think the Ninja Crispi is a game-changer in the air fryer market. That said, at $160 it's on the higher side, price-wise, for an air fryer. Those with little ones in the house also may want to note: When the cooking pod is being used with the adapter for large batches, the adapter can become hot and is potentially exposed once the heating pod is removed. Never minding little ones, if you're an absent-minded cook yourself, it can be a hazard. Read more: 8 Foods That Go From Good to Great in an Air Fryer Final verdict on the Ninja Crispi If you're a disciple of air fryer cooking and, especially if you have a serious commitment to meal prepping, the Ninja Crispi is arguably one of the most versatile models on the market. It's satisfying to use and easy to store and clean. You may want to look for it on sale during Prime Days or the like, but even without a discount, its utility and the reputation of the Ninja brand merits its price tag.

Amazon Deals of the Day: Don't Miss the Adventure. Capture It All With 25% Off the GoPro Hero 12

Amazon sells a vast array of products, with new ones arriving daily across many categories, including home essentials, tech gear and furniture. As much as the retail giant loves adding new products, Amazon also loves cutting prices. Deciding which offers are worth grabbing (and which aren't) is a full-time job -- our job, specifically. That's why we scope out the top deals for you. Today, we spotted the GoPro Hero 12 for almost $100 off. We also found the 3-in-1 Anker charging block for $25 off. And finally, we spotted the Levoit tower fan for just $3 more than the record-low price to keep you cool for the rest of the summer. I'm sure you've made a ton of memories this summer with loved ones, but were they captured? An action camera can help you hang on to the memories you make forever, so you can always look back at them. The GoPro Hero 12 is a great option, even though it's technically a generation old. The GoPro Hero 12 has just over a two-inch screen, so it can easily fit in your pocket. It uses a microSD memory card and takes super high quality videos and photos. Plus, the camera features HDR 12 for brighter colors, clarity and contrast. My favorite part is that it's waterproof, up to 33 feet, which means you can even take videos underwater -- perfect for pool or beach days. This camera is now down to $279 from its regular price of $370. That's a 25% savings or $91 to be exact. Don't wait, this limited-time deal won't stick around forever. With all the devices we have these days, it feels like we're constantly running out of outlet space to plug them in. That's why having a 65W charging block with multiple ports is super useful. The Anker Prime 67W 3-in-1 charging block has exactly that. This charging block has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, so you can technically charge three things at once. The charging block itself is also pretty compact, so it won't take up much room on the outlet. Plus, it makes it easier to take with you on the go. This charging block normally sells for $60. But Amazon slashed that price by 42% for a limited time. That means you'll pay just $35 for this block, a record-low price. If you're trying to beat the heat this summer without jacking up your electric bill with the AC, a tower fan is your answer. And Levoit makes some of our favorite ones. The Levoit tower fan has five different speeds so you can adjust based on how hot it is. Plus, it has four modes, normal, turbo, advanced sleep and auto. The temperature sensor also helps adjust the airflow depending on the room's temperature by using smart sensors. It has a 12-hour timer, incase you wanted to use it at night but don't need it on the whole night. And it's super quiet at 28 decibals, so you won't be disturbed while sleeping. Plus, with 90 oscillation, the whole room will stay cool. This fan is usually $75, but you can enjoy a modest 16% discount which brings the price down to $63. Keep in mind, only the white color option is discounted. The black color option is full price. With so many deals on Amazon, deciding which ones are worth your money can be difficult. But CNET's combed through what the world's largest online retailer has to offer and gathered the best deals for you to check out.

The AirPods 4 are still on sale at a near record low price

Prime Day might be behind us, but the dregs of the deals are still lingering. And if you're in the market for a new pair of AirPods, you're in luck. Apple's ever-popular AirPods 4 (the ones without ANC) are currently down to $90 when purchased from Amazon , which is 30 percent off their usual price of $129. If you want the ANC model for those noisy flights, they're 33 percent off at $120. While neither deal is quite as good as the ones we saw during the Prime day sale, you're only going to be an extra dollar down regardless of which model you go for. The non-ANC AirPods 4 were $89 for Prime Day (a record low), while the noise-cancelling buds could be snagged for $119. If you missed out then, these deals are virtually the same. You really can't go wrong with the AirPods 4. While the AirPods Pro 2 remain our number one pick for the entire product category, we think the former are the best choice if you're on a budget. Apple's 'regular' earbuds were given a long overdue spruce-up in 2024, offering the option of ANC on the non-Pro AirPods for the first time, as well as an improved design and better sound quality. Whether you go for the ANC or entry level model, you'll benefit from the various features afforded by the H2 audio chip. These include Voice Isolation, Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, Personalized Volume and Adaptive EQ. The AirPods 4 with ANC add Conversation Awareness, Adaptive Audio and a Transparency mode to the spec sheet. Downsides? You still can't change the volume using onboard controls, and the cheaper AirPods 4 don't come with a case that supports wireless charging via MagSage or Qi, which is a disappointment. The AirPods Pro 4 with ANC do a pretty good job of banishing low-frequency background noise, but the noise-canceling capabilities aren't quite as strong as what you get with the AirPods Pro 2. Check out our coverage of the best Apple deals for more discounts, and follow @EngadgetDeals on X for the latest tech deals and buying advice.
