In 3 years, UPSIDA revenue grows 3 times
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has grown more than three times in the past three years, highlighting its role in the state's industrial development. According to officials, the authority recorded a revenue of Rs 1,898 crore in 2023–24 and an estimated Rs 1,937 crore in 2024–25. This marks an increase of more than three times compared to 2021–22 levels. Officials attribute this growth to a combination of policy reforms, infrastructure development, and increased investor interest. They said over the past few years, UPSIDA has expanded its role beyond land allotment to include functions such as policy implementation, investment facilitation, and infrastructure planning. The authority aims to support the state's goal of becoming a major industrial state by promoting investment, creating employment, and encouraging balanced regional development. In terms of land allocation, UPSIDA has allotted over 1,600 industrial plots in the last three years. Of these, 798 were allotted in 2024–25. These allocations have contributed to the establishment of new industrial units and employment generation in various regions. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo UPSIDA has also undertaken digital initiatives under the Digital India Mission and under the state's broader governance reforms. Hamas government office rejects US accusation of involvement in Gaza aid site attack
A Hamas government media office rejected accusations by the US State Department that the group was involved in a Saturday attack that injured two Americans at an aid distribution site in Gaza, it said on Sunday. The US and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said on Saturday the injured American aid workers were receiving medical treatment after a grenade attack caused non-life-threatening injuries. A representative for UG Solutions, a North Carolina-based company providing security at GHF's aid distribution sites in Gaza, told Reuters on Sunday that the injured Americans were employed as private security contractors. The contractors were former US special forces and did not open fire after they were injured in order to avoid risking harm to nearby civilians, the person said. The Hamas-run media office described the US accusation as misleading, saying it was aimed at justifying 'the continued killing and starvation of Palestinian civilians'. 'We categorically and unequivocally reject the claims issued by the US State Department alleging that the Palestinian resistance threw explosives at American personnel operating at sites run by the so-called 'Gaza Humanitarian Foundation – GHF,' it said in a statement.

Debock MD had fought LS election in 2019: ED
1 2 Jaipur: Mukesh Kumar , chairman and managing director of Debock Industries Limited, contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur seat on a Shiv Sena ticket. During his campaign, he enlisted Rakhi Sawant as a star campaigner, but he only received 4,600 votes and secured seventh place. This was revealed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) which concluded its raids at the Jaipur-based company. Mukesh also introduced himself as Mukesh Manveer Singh in business circles of Rajasthan and other parts. ED officials said that there could be a possibility that Mukesh aimed to conceal his financial scams exceeding Rs 100 crore by entering politics. "Presently, we are only investigating Rs 100 crore scam, though we are aware of some of his previous cheating cases lodged at various police stations in Jaipur." TOI obtained a copy of the 2019 Tonk-Sawai Madhopur election results in which Kumar received 4,600 votes and lost his security deposit. During that time, Kumar invited Rakhi Sawant as a campaigner and organised a vehicle rally at Sawai Madhopur too. Regarding his name, the ED authorities said that it is not clear why he was changing his name from Mukesh Kumar to Mukesh Manveer Singh. "Many times, people use this trick to avoid their debts. He was introducing himself as Mukesh Manveer Singh in the business circles of Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan," the officer said. Meanwhile, ED raids resulted in the seizure of Rs 78 lakh, four luxury vehicles, and property papers as proceeds of the Rs 100 crore scam. "A few other things are on our radar. A few properties at Chaksu and Tonk could also be the proceeds of crime. We will urge people not to invest in this group or its properties," the officer said.
